Gawker thinks quite highly of itself, it appears. So high, in fact, that employees have now been told not to write like those ne’er do wells over at BuzzFeed.
“We want to sound like regular adult human beings, not Buzzfeed writers or Reddit commenters,” new Gawker Editor Max Read told employees of the website famed for its name calling and taunt-filled blog posts.
The editor of the blog that says it is “the source for daily Manhattan media news and gossip,” sent out the memo to employees on April 1 informing them that henceforth Internet slang was banned. No more “derps,” not another “epic,” not one more “pwn,” and most certainly no “massives” will be allowed.
Read is telling employees to avoid using type with a strike through in posts, too, informing them that if they have a correction to make they should actually write the thing out and note that it is a correction.
So old world.

Once again we get proof that Democrats are criminals, that they think others’ property is theirs for the taking, and that they cannot be trusted with the story that they stole $75,000 worth of TVs after their national convention last year.
Remember, liberals say that we need to be “tolerant” of Muslims in the U.S. because, gosh darn it, they are Americans just like you and me. While you are remembering that, Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan are trying to oppress a local Christian Church because it is hosting an Easter egg hunt. Proof that Muslims are just as American and tolerant as you and me.
Without a doubt Obama’s government is constantly whipping up hatred for anyone who disagrees with the liberal line. So, at 10PM Eastern on Saturday, April 5, Fox is airing FOX News Reporting: Enemies of the State to expound on this anti-free speech crusade being perpetrated by people and entities ranging from President Obama, Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, to the NSA and the IRS and others on the left-wing of the American political sphere. 
Yesterday I wrote a piece for Breitbbart.com about how the gay mafia destroyed the career of the new CEO of Mozilla, the company that makes the Firefox web browser. But in its acceptance of a Stalinist show trial and its elimination of the CEO, Mozilla announced that only gays should be allowed to have free speech.
In my writing about media, I have been fascinated in the rise of Fox Business Network in the financial reporting game. Recently I noted that FBN snagged star business reporter Maria Bartiromo from CNBC, but amusingly she just went back on CNBC… in an ad for Fox Business!
There aren’t really two major parties in our political system. There are three. Sure there are Democrats–the extreme liberal, Euro-like party–and, yes, there are Republicans. New Mexico police chief Shane Harger recently attended an event in Las Vegas held by a group that urges police officials to be mindful of the U.S. Constitution in the execution of their duties. But upon returning home from the convention, Harger was suddenly fired from his job as the chief of Jemez Springs, New Mexico because, he says, he has been called a “terrorist” for believing in the Constitution.
Politico just published one of those articles that always drives me crazy where the media takes one or two examples of something and then tries to turn that into some sort of massive wave where in truth it is no such thing. This time Politico is saying that because three people left mainstream journalism to become media critics, that must mean there is a “career path” for disaffected journalists to fame and success.

The U.S. Constitution says that our Second Amendment rights shall not be infringed. That’s pretty straightforward. But a middle school in Illinois has decided that shall not really means that you have no rights unless government says you are allowed to have them.
