I have been watching all this hullabaloo over whether or not Representative Steve Scalise (R, LA) is a closet white supremacist because he spoke one time to a group connected to notorious KKK member David Duke. Now, I am not a Scalise fan because he isn’t as conservative as I’d like, but in the end I have come down on his side. So, leave Steve Scalise alone, will you?
Scalise, the third in line of the GOP House leadership, got himself in trouble at the end of December when it got out in the media that back in 2002 he had given a speech to a gathering of the European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO). [Ed to add:or did he even do so?] While the name of the group sounds innocuous, the fact is the group was connected to white supremacist and notorious Klan member David Duke.
In fact, Duke himself joked that they created the name to sound innocuous on purpose so that they could mask their supremacist notions.

Leave Steve Scalise Alone”
This is why I despise government. Every decision made in DC adds thousands of new government placemen at a cost of millions in salary and an ever expanding government. That is what happened when John Boehner did not immediately put a stop to Obama’s amnesty plans in that recently concluded budget negotiations.
A few days ago I noted that an American Indian got elected to the state legislature in Montana as a Republican. But the fact is, the 2014 GOP freshman field was more diverse than ever and many of those candidates won their elections. Minorities took seats as Republicans from coast to coast.
Traditionally, Republicans are supposed to be against the redistribution of wealth in the USA. But it seems times may be changing with at least three purportedly conservative leaders in Congress suddenly advocating for at least some income redistribution.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz had a bit of a problem yesterday when it became an issue that he had agreed to speak before a so-called Christian group made up of Lebanese and Palestinian Christians. But when he announced his support of Israel before these “Christians” they booed him and he saved his reputation by walking out on them in the middle of his address.
We already know that the fascist, authoritarian left wants to ban anyone and anything they don’t agree with. But usually they have the good sense not to say so out loud for fear that people will realize they are fascist authoritarians. But one “journalist” finally admitted the truth.
New Hampshire GOP establishment has foisted Walt Havenstein on the state as the Republican candidate for Governor. But, typical of these establishment types, it seems that they have more contempt for people on their own side than they do for the real enemy; the Democrats. Havenstein, for instance, calls you Tea Partiers the disgusting name “teabaggers.” Not only that but he refuses to apologize for his slander.
Years ago folks that stood against unions always had that one obstacle of “private” concerns in the way of urging people away from unionism. But today, with most unions being tied directly to government, now fighting unions is an act of beneficial government reform.
Yesterday I noted that it is time for conservatives to start
When most of you woke up today you saw media coverage all across the country breathlessly “reporting” that Republican Governor Scott Walker was facing “new” charges that he engaged in a “criminal scheme” to illegally coordinate with outside groups during his 2011/2012 recall election. But the fact is, the allegations were all dismissed and this isn’t anything “new” at all.

Old Clinton hack Donna Brazile has a message for her readers: the GOP civil war is over and the Tea Party won. While Brazile is usually fully expected to be typically and wholly wrong in her left-wing proclamations and while asking a liberal what is going on with conservatives is usually a waste of time, like the stopped clock, Brazile got this one more or less right.
Despite his million-dollar re-election campaign, number two establishment Republican Eric Cantor of Virginia just lost his re-election bid to one of those eeeevil “Tea Party” Republicans in a hard-fought primary race. This is a big, big, BIG loss for the establishment GOP. (John Boehner hardest hit.)
Proof that liberals can see racism everywhere they look, a liberal columnist has written a piece saying that Obama isn’t the only President that white racists attacked. They “racialized” Bill Clinton, too.
For the last three years a Democrat affiliated Milwaukee County District Attorney has been engaged in a political jihad of sorts, using “secret subpoenas” and illegally invading homes and offices of a wide range of conservatives and Republicans in an “investigation” into collusion between activist groups and Wis. Gov. Scott Walker’s re-election campaign. At last, a federal judge has ordered that the illicit probe be halted on First Amendment grounds.
As a conservative it is easy to look at Washington and find nothing but despair. Socialism is once again on the march with autocratic Democrats and left leaning “Republicans” all seeking to raise taxes, spend more, destroy the integrity of our borders, eviscerate our military, spy on us all, and impose a one-size-fits-all education scheme. In DC, the Democrats are practically indistinguishable from the Republicans. But a bright spot is seen in those states who are rebelling over this top down control by liberalizing gun laws, restricting abortion, and otherwise beginning to look for ways to assert their long dormant powers.
The Clinton Library has released over 7,000 pages of documents from Bill’s presidency, likely hoping that what ever is in them will be “old news” by the time Hillary announces her bid for president. But one of the documents is very interesting and shows that Bill and Hillary really feared and hated the free flow of information on the Internet.

Without a doubt Obama’s government is constantly whipping up hatred for anyone who disagrees with the liberal line. So, at 10PM Eastern on Saturday, April 5, Fox is airing FOX News Reporting: Enemies of the State to expound on this anti-free speech crusade being perpetrated by people and entities ranging from President Obama, Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, to the NSA and the IRS and others on the left-wing of the American political sphere.
By nearly every metric, Democrats are finding that Obamacare is a millstone around their necks for the upcoming 2014 midterm elections. Yet so-called Republican Karl Rove is telling the GOP to stop attacking Obamacare? What is he thinking?
Looks like long-time Chicago investigative reporter Carol Marin really laid her hate for everyone right of center bare with her lie-filled attack on WLS radio personality and political operative Dan Proft last week.
Marin slammed Proft as a gay basher, called him a homophobe, and attacked him in several ways interpreting all his mailers are anti-gay.

In a recent op ed at the Illinois Review Terri Koyne, the Republican Chairman for Macoupin County, tried to explain the difference between a conservative and a “platform Republican.” I sort of understood her point but found the piece to be a bit muddled not to mention historically limited.
