One of the many reasons anti-Trumpers say Donald Trump is unsuitable to be our president is that he is an authoritarian and might make for a sort of dictator in the oval office. But whatever Trump’s tendencies, it seems pretty clear that this fear is an absurd one.
Firstly we have to realize that having a dictator in office is a legitimate fear. Barack Obama has spent eight years proving to be the most dictatorial and lawless president in American history. It is also completely clear that Hillary has inculcated Obama’s lesson well and will be as bad or worse than he has been.
Democrats today don’t give a fig about the Constitution or “the law” and will do anything they want until they find opposition too strong to over come. And even in that case they will just put whatever is being opposed on a back burner to be raised later as opposed to abandoned. The fact that the law would prevent them from their actions is meaningless to them. Might makes right to a Democrat and the rule of law has no meaning and Hillary will likely charge forward and do anything she wants and wait to be opposed afterward instead of fearful of being opposed at the start. It’s easier to ask forgiveness than permission, as the saying goes.
That Hillary will certainly be at least the second most dictatorial president in history is inarguable.
That being said, what about Trump? I would tend to agree that Trump evinces authoritarian tendencies. His boisterous personality and combative attitude would tend to make one assume he would rather make decrees based on whim rather than issue policies based on a careful consideration of the law. I would also agree that it all isn’t very presidential.
But does this make him “just as bad as Hillary”? Any review of the news this week would tend to destroy that claim.

Earlier this month Muslims in New York called on the NYPD to investigate the beating of two Muslim teenagers as an anti-Muslim “hate crime” because the attacker was white. But police have nixed the idea and are now leaning towards saying the beatings happened because the teens were sexually harassing the white guy’s girlfriend causing the beating by their own actions. It looks like it is another fake “hate crime” busted!
If you are a true, constitutionally minded American, you really are left without a party or even a faction. It really is that simple. 
Only a day before three police officers were shot and killed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, reports circulated that the militant New Black Panther Party started up a new chapter in the city.
As the nation shakes its collective head with the full understanding that the law does not apply to Bill and Hillary Clinton and that their corruption knows no bounds, another story slipped under the radar that proves that from the highest federal office to the lowest, local state official no Democrat cares a whit about law and all have simply decided to do anything and everything they want regardless of what the law says.
Today America enjoys the celebration of 240 years as a nation by noting the day we declared our independence from England. Sadly, that celebration has, for too many, become the “Fourth of July” holiday, a day of picnics, rote parades, “white sales,” and for some a day off work. Of course, we should not and don’t celebrate any “July Fourth” holiday. We celebrate Independence Day, the day we formally separated from our parent nation and took those first unsteady steps into the world as a nation of our own.
Usually over the Independence Day weekend we spend time posting stories about America and patriotism. But this is also the perfect time to remember that the left never stops hating America and Americans first and foremost, so here are just some recent stories to remind us of how anti-American liberals really are.

There is a new piece in the L.A. Times that is distressing at the least, but also shows how the liars in the Media and the American political left (but I repeat myself) have distorted the Muslim terror attack in Orlando into a message that the U.S. Constitution is bad, Americans are evil, and guns, guns, guns.
A left-wing science fiction site hosted by the Gawker chain of websites recently posted a silly, fawning article revealing that the Chinese government is sponsoring a new “major science fiction award.” It was a piece that wholly ignored the autocratic and murderous history of the Chinese government and ridiculously treated this “award” as a legitimate celebration of the arts.
It seems to me there are some major logical disconnects in the world of #NeverTrump that simply boggle the mind. In fact, in many ways these disconnects make hypocrites out of the #NeverTrumpers.
There has been a lot of ink spilled about the stupidity of being politically correct (also known as “PC”) and while it is without question many leftist purveyors of this concept imagine they are doing Gia’s work by pushing PCism, the plain fact is it is dangerous thinking and, even worse, illogical and stupid. And Canada’s left-wing Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, gives us the umpteenth reason why you should hate liberals and their idiocy.
Marvel Comics is once again re-launching its universe of comic books and in the newest iteration of Captain America readers are told that those who oppose the importation of Muslim “refugees” are somehow as bad as the Nazis.

And how do our leaders respond? Do they push them back and enforce the borders, as is our sovereign duty? Of course not. They say, ‘Here, take our food. Take our shelter. Take our way of life, and then take our lives.’ Despicable.”
