Well, folks, it’ll be business as usual in Washington DC with the re-election of Ohio’s establishment-pushing Congressman John Boehner to the Speaker’s chair.
To defeat Boehner conservatives needed 29 votes against him. And, while he did suffer rejection by 25 of his fellows, it wasn’t enough of a rejection for him to be replaced.
This is still a bit of a rebuke of the long standing Speaker, though. If he were a strong speaker that had the full support of his caucus he would not have lost 25 votes! This is a rebuke despite that it is likely that Boehner will carry on without taking any mind to the rebuke.
Still, don’t expect the GOP to actually realize that it won in a landslide in last November’s election. Expect the GOP to throw away its advantage and to bend over backwards for Obama offering only token resistance.
Sad to say, the GOP will stay Obama’s handmaiden with the re-election of weakling John Boehner to the Speaker’s chair.
So look for full support for amnesty and Obamacare coming from the House of Representatives.

John Boehner Re-Elected House Speaker Despite Conservative Revolt”
I have been watching all this hullabaloo over whether or not Representative Steve Scalise (R, LA) is a closet white supremacist because he spoke one time to a group connected to notorious KKK member David Duke. Now, I am not a Scalise fan because he isn’t as conservative as I’d like, but in the end I have come down on his side. So, leave Steve Scalise alone, will you?
A few days ago I noted that an American Indian got elected to the state legislature in Montana as a Republican. But the fact is, the 2014 GOP freshman field was more diverse than ever and many of those candidates won their elections. Minorities took seats as Republicans from coast to coast.
He didn’t think he had a chance to beat a Democrat incumbent, but G. Bruce Meyers won a seat in the Montana state legislature anyway surprising many, even himself.
A few days ago, First Lady Michelle Obama was in Southern Illinois and during her speech she noted that Illinois leads the nation in job creation. This is a flat out lie. Not just political spin, but based solely on statistics, a straight out lie. And where was the media? Practically silent.
Last weekend Illinois GOP candidate for Governor Bruce Rauner took the ALS “ice bucket challenge.” When he did he urged Illinois Democrat leaders to join him in the challenge. In reply, the state’s Democrat House leader outrageously found a way to link the charitable challenge to a claim that Republicans are like the ISIS terrorists in Iraq!
Well, one American found out that calling a Congresscritter could result in an attack on him by the IRS just because he had the gall to call and ask questions.
Once again we see how stupid Democrat Party Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz is with a clumsy comment filled with false implications and absurd assumptions not to mention unintentional hilarity as this fool proclaims that Obama has done his job “less often” than any president since Grover Cleveland.
Years ago folks that stood against unions always had that one obstacle of “private” concerns in the way of urging people away from unionism. But today, with most unions being tied directly to government, now fighting unions is an act of beneficial government reform.
Yesterday I noted that it is time for conservatives to start
Old Clinton hack Donna Brazile has a message for her readers: the GOP civil war is over and the Tea Party won. While Brazile is usually fully expected to be typically and wholly wrong in her left-wing proclamations and while asking a liberal what is going on with conservatives is usually a waste of time, like the stopped clock, Brazile got this one more or less right.
While Democrats always pretend to look aghast at the purported “vile rhetoric” of the right, the truth is it is the left that is filled with a constant stream of hate speech. Worse, while Democrats are positive that there is no such thing as a terrorist in Afghanistan, Iraq or the wider Middle East, they are equally certain that the only true terrorists are Republicans. And we have two democrats affirming that position this month.
Politics might make strange bedfellows, but this one really takes the cake. In California Elizabeth Emken is running for the 7th District U.S. House seat in an attempt to unseat Democrat Ami Bera. But even though Emken was a lobbyist for Obamacare, she is strangely running as a Republican and using Bera’s support for Obamacare as a weapon against him.
Witnesses say that at a recent anti-gun forum Democrat Congressman Brad Schneider (10th District, Illinois) strangely reused to stand up and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Aurora’s Democrat State Representative, Linda Chapa LaVia, decided to let her racist flag fly on the floor of the House earlier this week when she called a bi-racial Republican a”half” of a minority during a debate on her failed teachers union-backed attempt to harm Illinois’ charter schools.
Of course, even by any measure of the left’s ideas of what a “minority” is ancestors wise Anthony fits the bill. He is part Africa and part Hispanic having a Puerto Rican background. He was a policeman and was elected as a Republican in 2013.
There aren’t really two major parties in our political system. There are three. Sure there are Democrats–the extreme liberal, Euro-like party–and, yes, there are Republicans. But Republicans are not the conservative party. The GOP is the moderate party. The third party is made of the conservatives and even as they are forced to call themselves Republicans, they have a higher calling than mere party power plays.
In addition to the IRS targeting conservative groups, individuals and their families–and now proposing rules to silence them during elections–and the new
Iowa Congressman Bruce Braley is now running for the Senate in the Hawkeye State and he has a message for Iowans: Iowa farmers aren’t good enough for elected office. Iowa needs rich, lawyers like himself in office. At least, this is what he told a roomful of trial lawyers in Texas.
By nearly every metric, Democrats are finding that Obamacare is a millstone around their necks for the upcoming 2014 midterm elections. Yet so-called Republican Karl Rove is telling the GOP to stop attacking Obamacare? What is he thinking?
In the first week of March I was in Washington DC at a party at the Breitbart embassy situated among the brownstone buildings just behind the U.S. Supreme Court building and I was talking to the National Review’s John Fund about the Illinois primaries. He asked me if Rauner was going to run away with it and I said that Dillard might surprise people and come much closer than anyone expected. Fund scoffed a bit. Turns out I was right.
New reports suggest that Chicago Congressman Luis Gutiérrez (D, ILL) is likely expecting to be charged with ethics violations in Washington.
