Just as she is considered a shoo-in for the Democrat nomination and thereafter purportedly President of the United States, Hillary Clinton’s “foundation” is seen floundering with invitations to its latest big time gala being turned down by celebs across the spectrum. One would think it would be just the opposite for someone everyone seems to think is about to become President.
Certainly I put “foundation” in quotes because it isn’t a real charity. Everyone knows that. But regardless of the fraud at its heart, the Clinton Foundation has always been treated like an important entity by celebrities and world leaders. That is until the last few years when it has started to go out of fashion among the fashionable.
Troubles started in 2013 when The New York Times dared to print a story that pretty much proved that this so-called charity is less a charity and more a bottomless pit of spending on the Clintons and their pals, a slush fund to keep the Clintons in enough cash for their high flying lifestyle and payoffs to their buddies.
Still, with Clinton running for president, donations have been up with the “foundation” making a very concerted effort to gain new donors in the first half of the year. But the fact that donations have swelled does not overshadow that the illiterati have begun to snub the Clinton Foundation and the failure of this year’s gala to attract the big names is telling.
A new report this month shows that some of the biggest names in politics and show business have ignored their invitations to attend and speak at the Clinton Foundation gathering starting this weekend. Further, many have also refused to renew their expensive memberships in the Clinton’s slush fund.

During a question and answer period at the 2016 Miss America Competition, Hannah Robison, the contestant from Tennessee, seemed to offer in her reply what was more like left-wing propaganda than fact by among other things perpetuating the myth that Planned Parenthood is a big purveyor of mammograms to poor and disadvantaged women. 
Journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, arguably the most famous illegal alien in the media, has repeatedly argued that he and other illegals are productive members of society and pay their “fair share” of taxes. But this claim just took a hit after news leaked that a federal tax lien of over $41K was levied against his property in California due to a failure to pay taxes.
The USA has fallen another few notches on the freedom scale thanks in part to the increasing lawlessness of Obama and his Democrat cohorts according to the latest freedom list put out by the Cato Institute.
One of the key aspects of the new immigration policy that Donald Trump proposed this weekend was to end birthright citizenship, the one rule that has served to create the “anchor baby” phenomenon drawing pregnant mothers to the U.S. from every corner of the world. This would be the right move for any president to make and it would be in keeping with the original intent of the Constitution and its requisite amendments.

As California looks to initiate a “no waste” policy, a look at the statistics of landfills in and around the San Bernadino area shows that many have either seriously slowed their garbage intake for burial or only increased it slightly. That is, all except the landfills operated by Athens Services, all of which seem to have exceedingly high growth in landfill use. Now some residents are worrying that, unlike the other waste disposal companies, the Athens landfills are burying items that could otherwise be recycled in accordance with state and local laws.
On Friday a group of left-wing “ministers” in some little-known “social justice” organization was given the platform of The New York Times to flog their ideas on how to ban guns. Their idea was to use the “buying power” the US government ostensibly has to force gun manufacturers to toe the gun banning line or face a reduction in federal guns and ammo purchases. Essentially, these purported ministers want to use the federal government’s buying status as a way to make an end run around the courts and the Constitution.
Let’s face it, Donald Trump has tapped into a very serious concern that most Americans have and that is illegal immigration. But the fact that he’s become a rising star in this GOP primary race at this time isn’t because he’s so great. It’s because the GOP is so damn bad on the issue. For Trump’s current success, the whole thing is Jeb Bush, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell’s fault.
Five Republican Governors are cooperating in a 10th Amendment-styled, states rights bid to defeat Obama’s un-Constitutional global warming power grab. The five are saying that they may simply ignore his edicts and refuse to implement his rules. Is your governor joining them? If not, why not?
As he exited the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was supposed to have told a bystander that the founders had given us a Republic, “if we could keep it.” Well this week’s latest Obamacare decision by the U.S. Supreme Court proves that we ultimately couldn’t keep it, Mr. Franklin. America is now a dead letter.
In Illinois we have a complicit, left-wing media establishment that will never write a bad story about Democrats. This deal with 8th District Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth–a candidate for the US Senate, no less–is a perfect example. Duckworth is being accused of punishing two whistleblowers who were trying to uncover Duckworth’s massive mismanagement when she was at the VA and yet the media is practically silent on the story.
Last month I noted that the Illinois state legislature is still pushing yet another tax to bedevil its already over taxed citizenry with the plan to push a tax on satellite TV providers. That plan has not abated.Unfortunately, it is just another example of Illinois burdening it citizens because of the failure of the politicians.
This is one of my preeminent examples of why there should never, ever be such a thing as a union for a government employee–ANY government employee. A teachers union in Colorado has been caught red handed using tax money to fund a campaign to urge lawmakers to raise taxes.
I must admit that I have some mixed emotions about this story of a woman who saw that other women didn’t have their own auto repair shops, so she decided to start one. There are several ways to think about the tale, granted, but none of them seem to rise to the need for a big splashy national news story on her business proposal.
So now our first Muslim president is canceling our own national celebrations in order not to upset Muslims, so we’ve got that going for us… which is nice. This week we’ve discovered that Obama’s crew staffing the U.S. embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia cancelled its celebration of Independence Day on July 4th so it won’t make Indonesians mad at us.
Dennis Hastert once let me eat his dinner on the rubber chicken circuit and that dinner story rates national coverage as much as his scandal story does. The fact is Hastert’s blackmail story doesn’t rate the massive coverage it’s getting in Illinois nor in the rest of the nation. But the coverage it is getting, though, is proof that both the media and Washington are broken.
Why, didn’t you know, America, that the Founders were so far reaching that they put global warming funding right in the U.S. Constitution? Well, that is what Bill Nye the not-so-sciencey guy is claiming, anyway.

In an idiotic act of PCism run amuck, The Houston Rockets NBA team has fired its social media director because he dared to posted two emoticons (or emojis) of a horse being shot by a gun after the Mavericks lost to the Rockets on Wednesday. The media guy’s bosses said that the gun emoji “wasn’t appropriate” and so fired him over it.
PBS is not fair or balanced and nothing it does can be trusted. We see this claim fully validated with how the network bent over for actor Ben Affleck’s demand that his slave-owning ancestry be eliminated from a recent program tracing the actor’s family.
Hey, you evil white solders, don’t you know that you are bad people? Well, that was the message that the US Army had with its “diversity training” session, anyway. Apparently Obama is trying to gut our military in every way possible, not just with the budget.
The Department of Justice has refused to charge former IRS chief Lois Lerner on criminal contempt charges after she refused to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee last year. But this doesn’t have to be the end of any possibility of bringing Lerner to justice. IF he has the political will, Speaker John Boehner has options.
