Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Fox News Show to Debut March 30

When Fox Business Network (FBN) snagged top CNBC reporter Maria Bartiromo for its own late last year, there was talk about giving her a Sunday morning business news show along with her other FBN duties. Now Fox News is announcing the debut of that new show.
The show is titled Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo and will air beginning on the last Sunday of March at 9AM Central Standard Time on your cable’s Fox News station.
“Anchored by leading business journalist Maria Bartiromo,” the announcement says, “the show will focus on the intersection of commerce and news events, offering viewers in-depth analysis on recent developments in the economy. Each week, Bartiromo will interview business leaders and industry newsmakers on topics such as job creation and investment opportunities, providing viewers with an inside look at how to prepare financially for the future.”

Green Stormtroopers to Invade Private Homes to Ensure Green Compliance

Greenism is not only a religious principle it is also a fascist, authoritarian ideal and greenies in Germany are finally revealing the black soul of greenism by proposing a law that would give the state the power to forcibly enter a person’s home to ensure they are in compliance with green rules.
The city of Bremen, in northern Germany near the North Sea just west of Hamburg, is so keyed up to push its left-wing envrio-Nazi regulations that it has outlawed residents from having electric heaters. But the jackbooted enviros aren’t going to stop at a mere banning of the heaters. To make sure the lowly people have complied with the ban, greenists in Bremen want to give police the power to enter a home without a warrant to make sure that home owners or apartment dwellers have abided by the rule and gotten rid of their evil, evil electric space heaters.
As the Germany website Liberal Magazine reports, “The proposed law by Environment Senator Joachim Lohse foresees a system of monitoring that allows for detection of violations and punishment. According to the Weser-Kurier daily, officials would ‘in carrying out the duties of their office, tread upon private property and enter private buildings.’ Here Lohse is creating nothing less than an environment police.”
Now, this whole idea runs contrary to Article 13 of the German Constitution which holds that the people have an “inviolability” of their homes and that the state cannot just come stormtrooping through private property whenever they get a hankering to get its thug on.

Crooked Illinois Dems Sneak Ban of Farm Sold Milk into Restroom Access Bill

This is the kind of crap that makes all politics seem crooked, conniving, scheming, and corrupt. With only days to go until the end of the legislative session a Democrat has sneaked in an amendment that would put a ban on farm-sold raw milk products into a bill meant to merely change the name of the state’s restroom access act.
That’s right, a ban on raw milk sales is now in a bill to provide fair access to restrooms. What do the two have to do with one another? Not a dang thing. But that is how corrupt politics works. If someone wants something stuck in an unrelated bill as a pay off, why all you have to do is set the right levers in motion.
The amendment to HB4036 would prevent the sale of non pasteurized milk products. The amendment was introduced by Chicago Representative Daniel J. Burke.
And what is this restroom bill? The only thing House Bill 4036 was introduced to do was to make a minor change to the name of the restroom act. That is all.

Iowa Dem Bruce Braley Slams Iowa Farmers As Unfit for Office

Iowa Congressman Bruce Braley is now running for the Senate in the Hawkeye State and he has a message for Iowans: Iowa farmers aren’t good enough for elected office. Iowa needs rich, lawyers like himself in office. At least, this is what he told a roomful of trial lawyers in Texas.
Appearing in a room full of rich trial lawyers who make a living off the backs of the people, Braley noted that he is *one of them* and isn’t like any old lowly Iowa farmer.
It should be noted that one of Iowa’s biggest economic sectors is its farming community.
Naturally, Braley was trying to get these trial lawyers to give him big campaign donations from their deep pockets.
“To put this in stark contrast,” Braley told the gathering of skinners “if you help me win this race, you may have someone with your background, your experience, your voice. Someone who’s been literally fighting tort reform for 30 years, in a visible and public way, on the Senate Judiciary Committee.”
“Or, you might have a farmer from Iowa, who never went to law school, never practiced law, serving as the next chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee,” he continued.
“Because if Democrats lose the majority, Chuck Grassley will be chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee,” he proudly concluded.
So, regular, Iowans who are not part of the “47%” aren’t good enough for office in Iowa?

Libs Against Money in Politics Ignore Unions Corrupting the System

As the left runs around like Chicken Littles claiming that the evil Koch brothers are “buying the country,” they ignore the fact that unions have poured many times more money into the system to buy themselves influence than the Kochs ever have or ever will. The left ignores this fact because unions spend all their money on extremely liberal causes and politicians and they don’t care if they have to break the law to do it.
Firstly let’s get the facts out in the open. A new report by Mercatus finds that the top 25 political donors for the last 25 years is littered with unions donating to left-wing causes. In fact, the number two and number four biggest donors are public employee unions.
As an aside, it is also instructive to note that number one political donor is the hardcore left-wing group ActBlue and not by just a little. ActBlue has donated nearly 100 million dollars to leftists and they have only been around since 2004. By comparison the next closest big donor is the government union the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) which comes in at about the 60 million mark.
Anyway, Mercatus found that of the top 25 donors, 14 of them are left-wing unions. The chart also proves that nearly 60 percent of all donations were made by unions and that’s about $552 million donated since 1989–all gone to the left.

Ill. Rep. Gutiérrez Likely On Verge of Ethics Charges Filed Against Him

New reports suggest that Chicago Congressman Luis Gutiérrez (D, ILL) is likely expecting to be charged with ethics violations in Washington.
USA Today reports that Gutiérrez has already spent some $30,000 in legal fees in preparation of defending himself from charges of ethics violations and no violations have yet been filed. It seems clear that the Congressman is sure they are on the verge of being filed.
Even with no investigation announced, in January the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) noted that at least one question over the Congressman’s actions was being held for consideration after the Illinois primaries (Election Day is March 18).
Naturally, Gutiérrez is refusing to make any statements on this matter–and that is probably a good idea since the whole matter is completely up in the air at this time.

Illinois Wins Again: Worst Unemployment Record in USA

Illinois continues to rack up plaudits as one of the worst states in the entire country for every measure that makes a successful state. Bad bond ratings, among the highest for people moving away from her, worst pension messes, crummy education, etc. And now, Illinois has won the booby prize as the single worst state in the union for its unemployment track record. Yaaaa, Illinois.
At 9 percent unemployment, Illinois now has the worst unemployment rate of every state around it in the Midwest. But even worse for the Land of Sinkin’–er, I mean Land of Lincoln–the state has the worst downward trends in employment for the whole country. Illinois’ unemployment rate has gone up more times than its gone down and that is the worst record in the whole country over the last five years.
As the Illinois Policy Institute recently noted, “Illinois’ recovery from the Great Recession has been hindered by self-inflicted wounds. After the 2011 tax hikes, the Illinois jobless rate jumped from 9.4 percent to 10.2 percent. The US average declined in the same period.”
Meanwhile, in the surrounding Midwestern state, every state but Illinois has had a downward trend for unemployment by about an average of some 2 percent. And yet, Democrat controlled Illinois has seen unemployment go up and up.

Senator Harry Reid is indulging an absurd habit these days. He’s become a Koch head, a Koch addict, a Koch whore. He just can’t get enough of libertarian campaign donors Charles and David Koch and Reid’s lost his tiny little mind over them blaming them for everything that he thinks is wrong with the country. Naturally, Reid is a liar.
Charles and David Koch of Koch Industries have donated hundreds of millions to center right candidates and causes over the last 30 years, something, Reid says, means they are “buying” politics in the country.
Before we even talk further about the Koch brothers, we should note that left-winger George Soros has spent far, far more of his personal fortune to push American politics leftward than the Kochs have spent pushing it rightward. And where is Reid to complain that extremist, left-wing billionaire Tom Steyer is spending hundreds of millions of his money to push the myth of global warming down our throats? Where is Reid to complain of the billions that MoveOn.org has s\pent on politics? Worse, where is Reid to whine that unions are buying politics–and unions have spent trillions more over the last 50 years than either Soros OR the Kochs. Of course, the lying hypocrite Senator from Nevada doesn’t care about Soros, the unions, or your Steyers because they all spend their billions on Democrats and their Euroesque causes.

Obama Tells Us to Cancel Cell Phone and Cable to Pay for Obamacare

So, if you make less that $40,000 a year and find the high cost of Obamacare to be overwhelming, President Obama has a message for you: cancel your stupid cable TV and you dang iPhone service you ingrates. THEN you will be able to afford his mandated-by-law take over of our national healthcare system.
This is what Obama told a Latino audience at a townhall held on March 6 by several Spanish language media networks.
Obama was presented with a question about a family that makes $36,000 a year and found that the cheapest Obamacare plan they could find would cost them $315 a month. This, the family felt, was too expensive and something they could not afford.
The President’s response was chilling. Obama said, “if you looked at their cable bill, their telephone, their cell phone bill… it may turn out that, it’s just they haven’t prioritized health care.”

California Town’s Use of Eminent Domain on Water Company All Wet

A city government in California is thinking of illicitly using eminent domain to essentially steal a water company from its owners because residents are unhappy with their water bills. If they are unhappy now, it will get far worse once the government owns the water service. Once again California serves as an example of what not to do.
The city fathers of Claremont, California are attempting a move that should frighten every American, a move that would seem to prove that government thinks it has no limits on its power. With the claimed goal of keeping water rates low, the city is considering using eminent domain laws to force a local water company into allowing the city to take over its facilities and declare its resources government property.
Jon Coupal of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association explained the rules of eminent domain in a recent op ed.
First, under the U.S. Constitution, if government takes private property, it must pay just compensation. Moreover, under California law, when government attempts to seize a private utility, there is the additional requirement of a showing of need a seemingly insurmountable hurdle for the city of Claremont to justify replacing the current provider & Government cannot simply say they want to go into the water business to be able to use eminent domain.
Being unhappy about a water bill does not qualify for the city to invoke eminent domain.

University Professor Urges Unions to Use Violence Against Mom of Disabled Teen

Several years ago a mother who cares for a disabled teen was shocked to discover that the Gov. of Illinois was going to force her into a union because she gets state aid to care for her son. She protested this forced unionization and the forced paying of dues that goes with it. Now a union professor is saying that unions should use violence against this woman to silence her.
Dr. Alan Singer, a Professor of Secondary Education at Hofstra University, urged unions to take “aggressive, illegal actions” saying it was “the only way” to stop people like Pam Harris from hurting the union cause of extorting business and government.
Mrs. Harris is the woman behind the Illinois lawsuit fighting state imposed unionism (Harris v. Quinn) that has made it to the U.S. Supreme Court of the United States.

A union thug in Michigan was wide-eyed with faux shock when he was told that publicly posting the names of workers who opted out of the union was viewed as an intimidation tactic.
Union thug Lawrence Roehrig, international vice president of AFSCME and secretary treasurer of Michigan AFSCME Council 25 (that is a government worker’s union, folks) defended the practice of outing the workers who opted out of the union under Michigan’s new right to work rules saying that it was just a way to educate workers.
In the same way a business owner is paying for “protection” when a mobster demands payment to make sure nothing “happens” to them, thug Roehrig said, “You’re not harassing them. It gives you an indication of who’s paying and who isn’t.”

The Convicted Terrorist Obama Hired as Navigator in Illinois

A woman convicted of being involved in a deadly terrorist bombing was hired by Obama to be an Obamacare “navigator” in Illinois.
Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, a terrorist from Jordan, was convicted in Israel for her part in several bombings including one from way back in 1969 that killed two students in a grocery store.
Despite her murderous past, the Illinois Department of Insurance hired this killer Muslim as an Obamacare “navigator” to push the President’s odious healthcare take over onto citizens in that state.
So, Obama had a terrorist pushing his Obamacare law on citizens in his own home state.

The Left’s Most Hated Koch Brothers Are Only 59th In Highest Political Donations

Only days ago the most hatefilled, partisan member of the Senate, Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid, again cried that the evil Koch brothers are destroying the country with their political donations. But it turns out that the Kochs are 59th on the big donor list. Worse, liberals take up almost all of the top 10 donors.
There has been gnashing of teeth and rending of clothes among extreme lefties over the big money donations made to conservative and libertarian causes by David and Charles Koch. They helped create the political activist group Americans For Prosperity and have funded many, many such groups across the nation. This center right activism, of course, makes them a target of the haters on the left and push them into top spot as the left’s most hated boogy men.
But a recent look at the nations deep pocket donors shows that the brothers are way, way down the list of big donors and that lefties fill most of those top slots.

Archbishop of Canterbury Opposes UK Welfare Cuts

America isn’t the only country having trouble with out of control government spending, nor is it the only place with leftists trying to stop any sensible limits on that spending. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is joining the chorus against the British government’s attempts to get its budget under control by backing the 27 bishops who signed a letter protesting recent cuts in welfare programs.
Welby wrote to the Daily Mirror and insisted, “I’m entirely with them.”
The Archbishop is responding to the open letter signed by 27 of Britain’s 59 Anglican bishops who claimed that hunger is a “national crisis” and that the welfare cuts damage the “safety net” for the nation’s poor.

Harry Reid Claims Those Who Say Obamacare Costs Them More Are Liars

From the floor of the Senate, Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid has stated that all those thousands of Americans that have reported that Obamacare is driving up their costs, not reducing them, and that Obamacare is a “horror story” are simply lying. Yes, Harry Reid just called thousands of Americans liars.
During remarks he made on the floor of the Senate on February 26, Reid talked about those many Americans who are reporting how Obamacare has hurt them. He said, “there’s plenty of horror stories being told,” about Obamacare. “All of them are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.”

South Oregon Proves Gov’t Subsides Are Bad for You

The Beautiful Rogue River in South Oregon
A very long article at the conservative Washington Free Beacon describes how economic recession and a changing timber industry has turned parts of southern Oregon into a “lawless” area with toothless authorities, few police, and empty government treasuries. But what the article really proves is that government subsides created this problem in the first place proving that government largess is a bad thing in the long run.
The piece, “The Lawless South,” by CJ Ciaramella, describes the hard times that parts of southern Oregon have fallen upon. The hard times have come from several directions all converging to smack the area with high unemployment, plunging home prices, and failing industry.
The area Ciaramella is around Josephine County, way south of Portland and near the Oregon/California border. This area is in such bad economic times that the various governments, city and county, have had to make massive cuts. The cuts Ciaramella focuses on are the cuts in policing, hence his “lawless” title.

Fascinating Photos of Baltimore’s Obamacare Cities

As Americans find fewer jobs, as more homes are foreclosed upon, and as more people become desperate, perhaps some are living off the grid and escaping to the woods to live in makeshift houses? At least one photographer near Baltimore found just such a community and took some fascinating photographs of them.
While hiking through the forgotten sections of Baltimore, Maryland–areas behind Wal-Marts, near railroad tracks, and in small patches of woods–photographer Ben Marcin found an interesting series of makeshift homes and campsites hidden there.
Some were made of tents or sheets of plastic, others merely a bedroll on some wooden pallets, but others were more elaborate. One, for instance, was made up of dozens of plastic milk crates while another was fashioned from discarded wooden doors.

A REAL New Jersey Scandal Tied to Democrats Being Ignored by Media

While the media gorges itself on the story of Chris Christie shutting down a bridge one day last year, a real political scandal is brewing in New Jersey filled with corruption, millions in fraud and waste, and a Democrat appointed official pleading the Fifth and the media? Well, the media is ignoring it all.
Even as Newark, New Jersey was laying off policemen and was pleading for more tax money and state bailouts, it has now been discovered that a heavily employed city contractor was stealing millions from the city with crony deals and bribery and it’s all tied to people appointed by Cory Booker–the man many Democrats think might be the “next” Barack Obama. There is even no-work jobs to buddies and other such criminal waste.
All this comes from investigations into a city agency called the Watershed Conservation Development Corporation, an entity that supposedly monitored and managed the city’s 35,000 acres of reservoirs and other water resources.

No Gov’t Employee Should Make $400,000 a Year

A new transparency project has been launched in California that helps citizens learn just how much salary their government employees earn and the results are shocking. Hundreds of government workers make upwards to and more than $400,000 a year even as California drowns in taxes to pay for it all.
Over at Forbes, Mark Bucher reports of the new group Transparent California which has launched a new web portal where citizens can search out what public employees are earn in salary as well as what their pensions will be.
Some of these outrageous salaries will tend to choke you with rage.
“Consider Redwood City [population only 80,000],” Bucher writes, “where three fire captains and one firefighter made between $434,274 and $452,733 in total compensation in 2012. One police officer made $463,690 in total compensation. In all, nine employees made over $400,000 in total compensation with a total of 33, mostly police and fire department employees, making over $300,000 in total compensation in 2012.”

Congressman Gary Peters Lawyers Up to Silence Julie Boonstra
LANSING, MICH – Yesterday, Rep. Gary Peters released his Washington DC legal attack dogs out to intimidate and silence Julie Boonstra, a Michigan mother battling leukemia who had the courage to speak up after the insurance plan she liked was cancelled due to the Affordable Care Act.
Instead of listening to Julie’s concerns, Peters took steps to strong-arm Michigan television stations to simply pull “Julie’s Story” from the airwaves. These are desperate political tactics from someone who is increasingly incapable of defending his support for Obamacare.

Tax Preparers Getting Tax Dollars to Sign You Up for Obamacare?

It is tax season and Americans everywhere are taking their receipts and forms to their favorite tax preparer to find out what that final tally will be. But are our tax preparers getting a cash bonus from the taxpayers to sign customers up for Obamacare while they are filling out our tax forms? It seems so.
This new waste of tax money–possibly illegal, definitely unethical–came to light when Will Upton made to write a piece on Obama’s attack on those that want to defund Arkansas’ “private option.” In Arkansas, legislators made a move to mitigate the disaster that is Obamacare (ACA) by passing a law colloquially known as the private option.
As Upton explains it, the private option is “essentially an expansion of Medicaid eligibility, under the auspices of Obamacare, to any Arkansan under 65 years old who is at or below 138 percent of the federal poverty level.”
As the funding for this state-level Obamacare fix is up for approval, Obama and his cohorts are blanketing the state with attacks on defunders of the private option. In particular is a study floated by tax preparing company Jackson-Hewitt claiming that defunding the private option is nothing but a tax hike on the business sector.

US Army Builds Fake American Town to Practice War on Americans

In Virginia, the U.S. Army has built an American city, replete with a church, a mosque, an embassy building, a bank and a working subway system, in order to practice assaulting American cities. Welcome to Obama’s America, folks.
The town took six years to complete, is built on a 300-acre plot of government-owned land in Virginia and cost taxpayers $96 million. It is designed to, “replicate complex operational environments and develop solutions.”
The “training” facility was completed and opened in January of this year and is operated by the U.S. Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group.

Now businesses will have to go hat in hand to Obama to explain themselves about why they are firing any particular employee. This is just another of Obama’s steps toward the fascist-styled control by Washington bureaucrats over the entirety of the business sector.
As Fox News reported it: “Obama officials made clear in a press briefing that firms would not be allowed to lay off workers to get into the preferred class of those businesses with 50 to 99 employees. How will the feds know what employers were thinking when hiring and firing? Simple. Firms will be required to certify to the IRS – under penalty of perjury – that ObamaCare was not a motivating factor in their staffing decisions. To avoid ObamaCare costs you must swear that you are not trying to avoid ObamaCare costs. You can duck the law, but only if you promise not to say so.”

Some Sparks At WLS GOP Governor Debate

The debate stage.
Tonight, February 10, WLS AM 89 talk radio, hosted a debate of what was supposed to be all four candidates vying for the GOP nomination for governor. Unfortunately, only three decided to accept the invitation to join the debate. Candidate Rauner decided not to speak to the six or seven hundred locals nor the WLS radio audience.

In attendance were State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, and State Senators Bill Brady and Kirk Dillard. Not in attendance< was businessman Bruce Rauner. WLS talk show host Dan Proft moderated. I have to say, most of what what was said by the candidates was run of the mill stuff they've all said 100 times before--and for some over several losing campaigns for the same office. But a few sparks did fly, one over a new issue and another over an old.

Firstly, though the biggest disappointment of the night was that all three candidates denounced Illinois being a right to work state and all dismissed the idea that the union should be limited in the Land of Lincoln. But since most are taking big donations from the union, I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise.
But the fact is, every Republican should be an opponent of government employee unions.
