There is a lot of valid angst about who will become the nominee for both the Republican and the Democrat Parties this year. We are in a day when the voters are clearly pulling in a multitude of ways and not giving any candidate an overwhelming nod. But there is also a lot of BS about how “the will of the voters” is being thwarted by the party system and much of this is misinformed.
I am not saying that none of this should make you mad. Just get the facts before you get mad. Don’t shy from getting mad, just be informed while you do it!
Let’s just get one fact out of the way at the outset: your vote in a primary is not and never was the only or even the final say on who the party picks for its nominee. The will of the voter does matter in a general election where the nation picks the president, but not as much in a primary when the parties are picking who they will offer up as a candidate for the forthcoming general election. The fact is, primaries are not “the election.”
It is the party that picks the nominee, not the voter. Yes, the votes in the primary are a key guide for the party and yes, if the vote is overwhelming for a particular candidate both parties generally chose that candidate. But, the fact is the parties — any party — can pick who ever the heck they want quite regardless of the vote totals.
After all, that is what a party is for, to control its destiny and policies.

Let’s Clear Something Up About a ‘Contested’ GOP Convention, Voters DON’T Count and NEVER DID!”
The Internet can make you stupid and an exchange I had on a science fiction/comic book board is yet more proof of that.
On Monday Georgia Governor Nathan Deal vetoed a religious liberty bill that would stop state authorities from forcing Christians to participate in gay marriages, but one of the “reasons” Deal said prevented him from signing the bill is fraught with a pretzel logic he can’t possibly believe.
Conservatives like to scoff at the stuff and nonsense that is modern liberalism and its attack on traditional values and the so-called Bechdel Test is a perfect example of this foolishness of the liberal/feminist milieu. The very fact this “test” is even a thing shows how feckless and silly feminism and liberalism are.

There is a big argument being waged between Trumpeters who say he is utterly innocent for the violence constantly occurring at his rallies and those who say it is all his fault because of his bellicose rhetoric. The truth is, Ted Cruz is right. It isn’t an either or, it’s a little of both.
I was in attendance at this year’s Northwest Suburban Republican Lincoln Day Dinner in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. We had a nice visit from Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Another one of Obama’s “DREAMERS” has been nabbed after a state-wide manhunt. This week the Missouri State Patrol arrested an illegal migrant who was suspected of going on a murder spree after being “accidentally” released by federal immigration officials.
Marco Rubio has only one path to the White House and it isn’t through the ballot box. In fact, the only way Marco Rubio could become the GOP nominee for president is through the back room deals of a brokered convention initiated among the very establishment hacks that the voters are working overtime to depose from power.

Actor Jude Law seems to fancy himself some sort of intellectual philanthropist but his trip to the illegal Muslim migrant camp in Calais, France nicknamed “The Jungle” proves once again that actors should be ignored when they are off the screen because they are generally too stupid to be worth anyone’s time.
A few weeks ago I wrote a piece saying you can’t be a conscientious conservative and refuse to vote for Donald Trump if he faces Hillary Clinton in a general election. But can you also be such a conservative and vote for Trump in a primary?
Activists are pushing a new a new bill that would give illegal migrants living in New York City the right to vote in city elections starting in 2017.
As the presidential primaries roll out across America it has become clear that the voters are revolting against the establishment — both on the left and the right. Usually we think of the Republicans and Democrats as being polar opposites, but in today’s climate large numbers of voters on both sides are lining up in opposition to the elites for exactly the same reason. Both the left and right are in revolt over “fairness.”
A Chicago Tribune TV critic was aghast that Americans often enjoy the commercials during the Super Bowl. Apparently he was upset about all that capitalism going on and mad that Americans don’t rise up and throw their shoes at their TVs in revolt. Corporations are apparently all venal and wasteful, he alleges, and we shouldn’t stand for it.
The boy who was born two months after his famous father died in a tragic plane crash on the “Day The Music Died,” saw his father’s face for the first time fifty years after the fatal day that stole the elder from our world.
It is a well worn adage that America is “made up of immigrants.” But the “making” occurred in an era when people moved to the United States in order to become Americans. Democrats, though, have taken that original intent and upended it to create a means to destroy the country instead of growing it. And there is no better example of this than the words of a Mexican immigrant who was asked to remark on the candidacy of Marco Rubio.
On Sunday evening after football the eagerly awaited first installment of the six-part “X-Files” reboot aired on Fox. Unfortunately, the writers let their liberalism interfere with common sense story telling as the first half of the show featured slams n Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and an attack on America’s right to keep and bear arms.
I hate to burst your bubble, America, but if Donald Trump were to become president we would not get a president who “blows up the system,” nor would we have a president who “does great things.” What we’d have is a do-nothing for four (or perhaps 8) years. But that may not be a bad thing.
On August 24 of 1855, Abe Lincoln made another one of his arguments against slavery. But I’d dare say that the logic of his point works to defeat the left’s efforts to destroy freedom of religion today, too.
Without question Barack Obama has proven to be the single biggest liar ever to sit in Washington D.C. But we can’t say we weren’t warned. His Alinskyite training aside, everyone should have realized what a liar he was going to be with his claims that if he were to become president he would take no vacations because the nation needed him so badly. And what has happened since election? Well, thus far he’s spent $70 million of your tax dollars on vacations.
