In a speech made by President Woodrow Wilson on April 2, 1917 he argued the reasons for declaring war against Germany. Of all that he said the one line most remembered and most often quoted has been, “The world must be made safe for democracy.â€
No one minds being labeled a naysayer or a prophet of doom if he or she is charged by the love of country, driven by the inspiration of God and fully guided by the biblical and historical record that assures us that any nation that forgets God, is dooming itself, the voices of her prophets notwithstanding. The short version goes like this “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.†(Psalm 9: 17)
In America it can no longer be said that we have forgotten God, but it would be far more accurate to say we are now fighting against God. Efforts to remove allusions to God from our public buildings, classrooms, cemeteries and military installations are only part of our futile warfare.

Obama’s is one of the most disastrous foreign policies of any president ever. His latest outrage is the dual absurdities of, on one hand putting Israel on a list of state sponsors of terrorism, while on the other hand opening a dialog with and bestowing diplomatic legitimacy upon the terrorists of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Once again St. Sabina, the “Catholic” Church on Chicago’s South Side, makes the news for race-baiting and down talking our U.S. Constitution. This time it is Chicago’s new Police Superintendent, Garry McCarthy, who appeared at the church and indulged his inner Father Pfleger with a rant on how the US is filled with racists and how the U.S. Constitution was written to kill minorities.
In its intro to the 2011 U.S. Open golf tournament, NBC Sports had a heart stirring montage of Old Glory, school kids reciting the pledge of allegiance, all intercut with some of golf’s biggest contemporary stars. It had everything: resounding music, patriotism, and golf. But one thing it didn’t have… the whole pledge. It seems NBC sort of forgot the “under God” part of the pledge.
Tim Rutten is a left-wing, hack writer from L.A. He is always good for contemporary left wing trope but the other day we discovered that he is also good for the sort of uninformed blathering that leftists of his ilk pretend is American history. Chiefly that of America’s religious history and the so-called “wall of separation between church and state.”
Here we go again. This sort of nonsense that passes for journalism rehashing our history, and badly at that, always comes up when there’s some sort of anniversary in the offing. This time it is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War which gave Discovery News an excuse to

In another example of a sort of cultural suicide where western media types assume that all Muslims are blameless while all Americans are at fault in this clash of civilizations between Islamism and the West we have a recent episode of MSNBC’s Hardball with one-time Democratic operative Chuck Todd standing-in for host Chris Matthews.
