Ever since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, left-wingers and Democrats have been braying for center right and conservative organizations, PACS, and super PACS to reveal their donors, the libs claiming that such “transparency” is good for American politics. But as far as these people are concerned, “disclosure” is only to be forced on others and the fact that one of Obama’s biggest campaign donation bundlers is the leader of a very secretive Democrat money machine proves the rule rather than the exception.
That campaign money maven is Kelly Craighead, president and managing director of Democracy Alliance, a high dollar group of Democrat donors founded in 2005 with start-up money from left-wing billionaire George Soros.
So, what does this group do? According to the Washington Free Beacon:
The Alliance serves as a clearinghouse that connects donors to endorsed organizations—such as the Center for American Progress and the pro-Obama Super PAC Priorities USA—without threat of disclosure. The Alliance is not listed in any phonebook, and does not disclose its donors or endorsed organizations.
That’s right, this group that is made up of left-wingers that scold the right for a lack of transparency won’t reveal its own donors. So much for veracity.

Transparency? Obama’s Secretive Soros-Funded Money Machine”

President Obama’s reelection team held a conference call recently. The call was meant as an attack on Mitt Romney’s trip abroad, a trip meant to burnish his foreign policy creds. But one thing that team Obama seemed to want to ignore was Obama’s own foreign policy failures in Syria. And so the civil war in that far away lands was practically ignored by Obama’s advisers.
In fact, Obama’s entire policy on Syria seems to have at the very least become stalled. It is likely he’s putting off any further decisions until after the election in order to appease his anti-war left wing supporters. But whatever the case, he is failing to lead in Syria.
There may soon come a very dangerous tipping point in Syria, too.
This week it was reported by some sources that Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian forces have chemical weapons and may be prepared to use them against rebels. Obama has done little of note about this threat.
Sadly, the rebels have been pleading for better weapons from the U.S. but despite Obama’s pledge of his support for them, he has ignored their pleas.

California’s Attorney General, Democrat Kamala Harris, has weighed in on the side of an immigrant who is asking the State Supreme Court to award him a California law license after his graduation from law school despite that he’s neither a legal resident nor a naturalized citizen of the United States of America.
In her brief, Democrat Harris pleaded with the court to award this license. “Admitting Garcia to the bar would be consistent with state and federal policy that encourages immigrants, both documented and undocumented, to contribute to society,” Harris said.
This is nonsense. Our laws do not encourage undocumented immigrants to “contribute to society.” Only when our laws are ignored, set aside, or broken by recalcitrant government officials do they somehow encourage illegals to “contribute to society.”
In truth, our laws encourage illegal immigrants to become legal or go back home.

Not even a day had passed before extremist, left-wing Internet activists MoveOn.org began to try and raise funds off the tragic crime.
In an early afternoon posting to its SignOn.org website, a site where like-minded activists can join MoveOn’s campaigns and sign Internet petitions, MoveOn urged supporters to “stand with the Aurora, Colorado shooting victims and their families.”
The site features a petition that MoveOn activists can sign. Names and emails are required which in turn go into the MoveOn database so that fundraising emails can then be sent to the mourners of the Colorado victims.
Once again, MoveOn sees a crime as a way to raise money for its activism. Pretty cold blooded, really.

So, I thought I’d grab some of the funnier images I saw lambasting the nanny in chief for his hate for American entrepreneurship.
But first, here is what he said earlier this week:

Many are saying that President Obama just doesn’t understand capitalism, that his big government ideas are born of a misunderstanding of what makes the United States of America the great nation it has become. Many think that he just doesn’t grasp our American culture, our philosophy, and our founder’s vision. With his comments made at a campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia on July 13, one can easily think that might be the case.
Here is what he said about the business sector:

So, Mr. President, no one makes his own business? Someone else handed it to him? And the wellspring of all business is government spending?
As they used to say on Saturday Night Live back in the day, “Barack you ignorant slut.”
Many are saying that this, along with a plethora of other off handed comments he’s made over the years proves he doesn’t understand the American economy. Other comments such as his 2008 claim that he wants to “redistribute” everyone’s wealth, his thought that he wanted to “necessarily bankrupt” the coal industry in order to implement jobs-killing faux enviro-nut rules, his crony loans to multiple failed Solyndra-like “green” energy companies, and his sweetheart deals with other friends, campaign donors, and members of his administration — all with OUR tax money — all this shows he is not a capitalist, but a quasi-fascist that thinks the State should own and control the business sector.

Former GOP head Ed Gillespie is now one of Romney’s senior advisers. This weekend he was on CNN’s State of the Union show and he had something exactly right to say about Obgama’s crony capitalist economy and how it is hurting the middle class.
What they’re seeing is if you’re a political donor to Barack Obama, you’re going to do fine because you’re going to get a payoff. If you’re a middle class worker, you’re in jeopardy, you’re facing a layoff. That’s the kind of economy we’re seeing with President Obama. His buddies do well, political supporters do well, they get green jobs, money, and they get stimulus dollars. If you’re a middle class worker, you’re struggling right now and Mitt Romney can make things better for you and he has a plan to do and that’s what we’re talking about while President Obama is trying to talk about everything but.

Worse, as we see company after company that Obama floated with the people’s tax dollars going down the tubes and folding while the big money Obama donors that ran those companies into the ground get away with pockets full of millions of our tax money so generously donated to them by the President, the rest of us are losing jobs, losing pensions, and losing our homes.
Barack Obama’s so-called stimulus did not help this country at all. The only thing that wasted money did was go to states to pay unions.

On July 11, Obama’s big money men were holding a nice fundraiser in Red China for the President. It headed up by Technology for Obama co-chairman Robert Roche, who has committed to raising $500,000 for Obama.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder originally said that some 600,000 Texans lacked a voter I.D. and therefore would be disenfranchised by the Texas voter I.D. law, but Department Of Justice lawyers have suddenly upped that number greatly. Holder’s DOJ now claims that 1.4 million otherwise eligible Texas voters don’t have proper I.D.s.
Unfortunately, Holder did not release the figures or the methods that were used to arrive at the newer and much higher figure which holds that one in fourteen Texans have no photo I.D.
AG Holder claims that because so many Texans have no photo I.D. they would be barred from voting under the Texas Voter I.D. Law even though the new law requires the state to give photo I.D.s to such citizens for free.

The 2012 London Summit on Family Planning, to be held on July 11, is intended to “mobilize global policy” to assure that 120 million women and girls are afforded family planning, contraceptives and other information. Sponsors of the event want more money put to these services for poor women around the world. But it seems likely funding this new program will take money away from actual healthcare services already offered, especially in a day when economies are failing worldwide.
Claiming, “It has been proven that family planning saves lives, improves health, strengthens communities, and stimulates economic growth,” the London Summit intends to get its funding from the international community in any way it can.
One thing seems certain, it is painfully obvious that these people think of pregnancy as an affliction, something that needs to be stamped out. Also interesting is the focus on the poor in a eugenics-like push to eliminate the lower classes of peoples by encouraging fewer pregnancies.

Advocates Want Contraceptives Services Pushed Even if Real Healthcare is Cut”

Are you a patriotic American that thinks that our American way of life is in danger? Are you a Tea Partier? If so, Obama’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) wants you to know that you might be a terrorist. Or, at least, the DHS wants to characterize you as a potential terrorist, anyway.
Once again the DHS is warning that believing in American exceptionalism or hailing from the right side of American politics is a dangerous thing, just as they did in 2009. It might be recalled that in 2009 the DHS released a report that said our veterans or anyone that held a conservative viewpoint should be eyed suspiciously by government as a potential domestic terrorist.
This new report, titled Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970-2008, has a different way of defining the exact same position as the 2009 report that brought so much embarrassment to Obama’s administration. Apparently police should be suspicious of anyone that feels their way of life is endangered, anyone that is religious, and anyone that might be interested in “personal liberty,” or “national sovereignty,” or firearms.
That’s a pretty wide net, isn’t it?

Democrat Congressman Andre Carson of Indiana has a new plan for America’s schools. They should be retooled using the Islamic Madrassa as a model and their “foundation” should be the Muslim holy book the Koran.
Rep. Carson made these suggestions at the annual convention of the Islamic Circle of North America held in Hartford, Connecticut on May 26. This year’s convention theme seems to have been “Our Family, Our Home & Our Destiny” and Carson took this concept to heart in his plan to remake American schools into a nation of Madrassas.
Can anyone imagine the outcry from the left and the Old Media both if a Republican Congressman had made the suggestion that our grade schools and high schools should be remade into Bible-pushing centers?

Fraud. This is one of the big reasons I am wholly against ballot measures. Rarely is there ever a ballot measure sponsored by Democrats that isn’t shot all the way through with petition fraud and we see it again in Ohio.
This time a petition drive is being pushed by several extremist left-wing groups to create an un-elected, state-wide board of quasi officials that will determine the shape of Ohio’s voting districts, all without input from the voters. In other words, Democrats and Sorros-like left-wingers want to put in an un-elected group of hacks that will always go their way regardless of the political climate in the state.
The way these left-wing groups are pushing this idea on Ohio is via a ballot measure. The idea of a ballot initiative is to get a certain number of signatures from voters so that the question can be put on the ballot at the next election. Then voters can decide if they want it or don’t want it. Seems regular old democracy, right?
But the problem with these left-wing ballot initiatives is that they are always, always, always filled with fraud. Democrats always fake thousands of signatures, commit fraud on a daily basis to get their numbers, lie to voters, and generally break every law on the books that governs ballot initiatives. And this one is no different.
Maggie Thurber reports that Democrats are telling people to sign their names multiple times, that they should make up names, that they can sign for family and friends… just committing fraud every day they walk the streets looking for signatures.

Once again we get a dismal jobs number from our government. So few jobs were created that we aren’t even keeping up with population growth! And once again Obama tells us not to pay any attention to those numbers.

What is it they say in Obama’s world? Tell a lie loud enough and long enough and it becomes fact? This must be the President’s mantra at least where it concerns the importance of the dismal jobs numbers we’ve seen over the last four years. OIW notes that over the last 41 months of stagnant employment numbers hovering near 8 percent Obama has told us not to pay any attention to those bad jobs reports over and over and over again.
Like the perpetually frightened Wizard of Oz, Obama uses his bully pulpit to warn us to “pay no attention to the jobs report behind that curtain.”

Lefties everywhere have hastened to try and absolve the ObamacareTax claiming that it really isn’t the largest tax in American history despite that conservatives say it is. What is their proof? Well, as a percentage of GDP ObamacareTax is smaller than other taxes we’ve instituted in the past. This, statistic, though, is quite misleading.
LoudTalkerBlog has crunched the numbers, but the chief take away is in this chart, and, yes, it is the largest in total cost ever:
Talker goes on to detail why the ObamacareTax is the biggest ever.
But, if you look at the raw dollars of the deal, again using Drum’s numbers, the cost of Obamacare is $71.18 billion dollars. (0.49% x 2010 GDP of $14.526B). That would make it the largest tax increase ever. The second highest dollar amount in the list? Clinton’s 1993 tax increase of $33.34 billion, which is less than half of the Obama tax increase. Third would be GHW Bush and fourth Reagan.
Worse, those lefties that are claiming it isn’t the biggest tax ever are leaving out all sorts of aspects to ObamacareTax in order to make its impact smaller.
In other words, they lie.

In its update on the coming student loan interest rate hike deal in Congress, Politico dances its blame-the-GOP tap dance once again saying that the coming rate hike is all just “politics.” But somehow Politico forgets to note that this interest rate problem is of the Democrats’ own making in the first place.
Reporting that Congress has signed off on a bipartisan deal to halt the scheduled interest rate increase on millions of student loans, Politico takes a paragraph to “explain” what the hold up was.
Lawmakers moved quickly on Friday to end a legislative dispute that got caught up in politics on Capitol Hill and on the campaign trail, as Obama repeatedly blamed Congress for delaying and Republicans accused the president of being AWOL in negotiations.
Yes, those darned old Republicans were just engaging in “politics.”
But, wouldn’t it have been nice for Politico to note why we got here with this student loan interest rate fiasco?

On Monday, July 2, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot participated in a conference call sponsored by Americans for Prosperity – Texas to talk Obamacare and how it affects the states. During that call, AG Abbot said “the American people lost” as a result of Chief Justice John Roberts’ decision. He also said the decision “threatens prosperity” as much as any Supreme Court ruling ever has.
Abbott warned that the determination that Obamacare is now a tax, the biggest tax increase in American history, is “a threat to all of us.” He noted that the ruling is “a tax on liberty itself” because now Congress seems to have been given the power to tax inactivity rather than activity.
“The New Taxing Authority will Empower Congress in an almost unlimited way,” Abbott said.
Abbott utilized the same car analogy that many have used since last Thursday to explain why this ruling is dangerous. Congress may now be able to tax people for not buying “green” cars, the AG said.
