Obama’s Campaign Most Cynical in Recent Memory

Obama is running probably the most cynical campaign in recent memory. At Obama’s hands, Romney is suffering the worst treatment a presidential candidate has gotten from an opponent since Gov. Al Smith was ripped to pieces by anti-Catholic operatives in 1928 giving Herbert Hoover an easy White House win. Obama and his surrogates are simply throwing one provably false claim after another at Romney in the hopes that uninformed people will not know the difference.
Take former White House spokesman Ben LaBolt, for instance. Recently he threw out the claim that Romney is the “most secretive candidate we’ve seen since Richard Nixon” (See video HERE). This claim is simply untrue. In truth, the most secretive candidate in American history is Barack Obama.
When Obama ran for the White House in 2008 much of his life was a complete unknown to us. That hasn’t changed. For one thing, we have none of his records when he was a student at Columbia. Also few people from his past have come forward with their reminiscences of him — causing doubt that even what we think we know of him is questionable. In fact, much of Obama’s life that the Old Media thinks it knows all about is simply taken verbatim from the President’s own autobiography, stories that are hard to verify. Then again, some of the stories in his book are being systematically disproven.

C.S. Monitor Wonders if Every Romney Campaign Ad is ‘Racist’

The Christian Science Monitor apparently thought it was doing the country a public service by laying out rules by which to judge whether or not a Mitt Romney ad is “racist,” but in its five questions to ask yourself about Mitt Romney’s ads, the magazine essentially laid out criteria that makes any ad Romney has done or even could do into a racist attack on Barack Obama.
In fact, the C.S. Monitor begins with the premise that racism must naturally be a prime Romney tactic against Obama. The campaign will be racist, the authors in the Monitor say. “It’s not a matter of whether racism will appear in campaign messaging, but when,” they write.
What the authors then do is indulge that famous left-wing practice of saying that everything whites do — this time in politics — is either outright racism, purposeful yet veiled racism, or subconscious racism. In other words, everything is racism no matter what.
For the Monitor, professors Charlton McIlwain and Stephen M. Caliendo also insist that blacks are never racist in their campaign efforts, another lefty trope popular in the world of academia.

EXCLUSIVE: Illinois Voters Can Help Stop The Coming Taxmageddon

Attention Illinois voters: call your congressman and tell him that you want to stop the President’s tax hike on small businesses so they can help begin to turn this disastrous economy around. And as voters we should also press those vying to upset sitting congressmen on this question, too.
Sometime this week the House of Representatives will be voting on H.R. 8, the Job Protection and Recession Prevention Act of 2012. This bill is intended to stop things like Obama’s time bomb of a 4.3 trillion tax hike over 10 years, well-known as Taxmageddon.
We can do something about this in the Land of Lincoln. As the American Action Network notes, Illinois residents need to tell Illinois liberals in Congress to let small businesses “compete for the gold.”

The ‘No One Gets Rich On Their Own’ Baloney

Obama’s “no one gets rich on their own” rant was to justify policies that soak the rich, and not about the wonders of roads & bridges! But that was how Obamians had tried to spin it, such as here at Huffington Post.
You can read my postscript deconstruction of his Roanoke speech at the end of this article to see how ridiculous that is. Bottom line is that when Obama uttered these two sentences, “If you’ve got a business—-you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen”, he was NOT referring to roads and bridges from the prior sentence. It would have been far too obvious for him to have meant that shop keepers do not build the roads and bridges in the towns where they operate. He sure as hell didn’t mean to suggest that their taxes help build them! No, holding to the full context of the speech, he meant that they are not singularly responsible for their success, that would warrant the degree of wealth they reaped.
The original thesis—-the product of liberal linguistics consultant George Lakoff—-is a way to minimize individual success, so as to justify taking from successful people the rewards of their success, through taxes. Liz Warren—-the women who couldn’t get into Harvard on her own without falsely claiming to have one drop of Cherokee blood—-had adopted this simplistic baloney to frame the debate for OWS, if you recall.

CBS News: Blacks are Unsatisfied With Obama

White House Banning Reporters from Tweeting Biden’s Comments

On July 24, Vice President Joe Biden took questions from the White House press during a phone conference call, but the White House told reporters they would not be allowed to use Twitter to live-report the VP’s remarks.
Politico reported that the Obama administration banned reporters from Tweeting Biden’s comments as he made them, telling them that they’d only be allowed to report the on-the-record comments once the call was concluded.

HuffPo Editorial Director Howard Fineman: Romney Supporters ‘Xenophobic’ and ‘Nativist’

On a July 23 appearance on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, Huffington Post Editorial Director and former Newsweek Editor Howard Fineman accused Mitt Romney of pandering to a “xenophobic” Republican Party, a racist party, he said, that is “afraid of the world.”
During a discussion of Michele Bachmann’s questions about Hillary Clinton aid Huma Abedin’s possible familial ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, host Chris Matthews asked the left-wing HuffPo editor why Mitt Romney doesn’t “have the guts” to stand up to those in his own party. Obama’s DOJ Refuses to Affirm America’s Religious Freedoms

This video is a perfect example of the essential lawlessness of the Obama administration.
There are some things that are essentially a basic truth. Murder is always wrong. Rights must be safeguarded. And violations of rights must be prosecuted. Also, the U.S. Department of Justice should always, always be zealous in the scheme of protecting those rights.
But not to Obama. No, to Obama the DOJ is only a political office, one that operates on no essential truths.
In this case, Congressman Trent Franks (R, Ariz.) asked an official of Obama’s DOJ if his office would vow to protect our Constitutionally guaranteed religious freedom.

Media Loves Romney Brit ‘Gaffes,’ Forgets All About Obama’s

All day Wednesday the Old Media establishment was going gaga over the “gaffes” that presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney supposedly committed on his overseas tour. But all the many gaffes Obama committed with our allies — especially the Brits — were conveniently absent from any of the coverage.
The list of jabs at Romney grew by the hour throughout the day. From assumptions that Romney forgot the name of Labour Party leader Ed Miliband, to his spilling of the beans about a meeting with British Intelligence (usually these meetings are kept hush-hush) to a back and forth of jabs about the Olympics opening this week in London, both the British and American press were quick to give Romney the back of a hand.
Of course, few Old Media outlets noted that Obama, too, has had his troubles, especially with the Brits.

Ever since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, left-wingers and Democrats have been braying for center right and conservative organizations, PACS, and super PACS to reveal their donors, the libs claiming that such “transparency” is good for American politics. But as far as these people are concerned, “disclosure” is only to be forced on others and the fact that one of Obama’s biggest campaign donation bundlers is the leader of a very secretive Democrat money machine proves the rule rather than the exception.
That campaign money maven is Kelly Craighead, president and managing director of Democracy Alliance, a high dollar group of Democrat donors founded in 2005 with start-up money from left-wing billionaire George Soros.
So, what does this group do? According to the Washington Free Beacon:
The Alliance serves as a clearinghouse that connects donors to endorsed organizations—such as the Center for American Progress and the pro-Obama Super PAC Priorities USA—without threat of disclosure. The Alliance is not listed in any phonebook, and does not disclose its donors or endorsed organizations.
That’s right, this group that is made up of left-wingers that scold the right for a lack of transparency won’t reveal its own donors. So much for veracity.

Obama Conference Call Ignoring Administration’s Syria Stagnation

President Obama’s reelection team held a conference call recently. The call was meant as an attack on Mitt Romney’s trip abroad, a trip meant to burnish his foreign policy creds. But one thing that team Obama seemed to want to ignore was Obama’s own foreign policy failures in Syria. And so the civil war in that far away lands was practically ignored by Obama’s advisers.
In fact, Obama’s entire policy on Syria seems to have at the very least become stalled. It is likely he’s putting off any further decisions until after the election in order to appease his anti-war left wing supporters. But whatever the case, he is failing to lead in Syria.
There may soon come a very dangerous tipping point in Syria, too.
This week it was reported by some sources that Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian forces have chemical weapons and may be prepared to use them against rebels. Obama has done little of note about this threat.
Sadly, the rebels have been pleading for better weapons from the U.S. but despite Obama’s pledge of his support for them, he has ignored their pleas.

Calif. AG Pushes to Award Law License to Illegal Immigrant

California’s Attorney General, Democrat Kamala Harris, has weighed in on the side of an immigrant who is asking the State Supreme Court to award him a California law license after his graduation from law school despite that he’s neither a legal resident nor a naturalized citizen of the United States of America.
In her brief, Democrat Harris pleaded with the court to award this license. “Admitting Garcia to the bar would be consistent with state and federal policy that encourages immigrants, both documented and undocumented, to contribute to society,” Harris said.
This is nonsense. Our laws do not encourage undocumented immigrants to “contribute to society.” Only when our laws are ignored, set aside, or broken by recalcitrant government officials do they somehow encourage illegals to “contribute to society.”
In truth, our laws encourage illegal immigrants to become legal or go back home.

After Days Big Networks/CNN Finally Notice Obama’s ‘You Didn’t Build That’ Remarks

Strangely enough it took four to five long days for CNN and the big three networks to notice that Obama told his audience at a Virginia campaign rally that business owners and other successful Americans aren’t responsible for their own success. Worse, it took advisors for Mitt Romney to comment before these news organizations deigned to report on the incident.
In Roanoke, Virginia on Friday, July 13, the President said to business owners, “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen,” causing an uproar on both sides of the aisle as Republicans expressed shock at Obama’s comments and liberals defended the President’s anti-business remarks.
Obama’s off-script comments, alternately considered a gaffe and his true feelings emerging, quickly became the talk of the Internet and talk radio. But ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN don’t seem to have uttered a word about the controversy until days later.

If you are paying any attention at all to politics, you can’t have missed Obama’s claim that no one builds their own businesses and that success only comes through the benevolence of our lord and Master, The One, Barack “Obammessiah” Obama and his big brother, nanny state, government.
So, I thought I’d grab some of the funnier images I saw lambasting the nanny in chief for his hate for American entrepreneurship.
But first, here is what he said earlier this week:
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
Obama is the worst, most anti-business President we ever had.

Dear GOP, Let’s Not Waste Romney’s VP Pick on One of Our Best Guys, OK?

Who should be Romney’s VP pick? I know who it shouldn’t be!
I don’t want Paul Ryan to be Romney’s Vice Presidential pick. I also don’t want Bobby Jindal, Chris Christie, or Marco Rubio to be picked. It’s not because I don’t like these guys, but because I do like them. It is precisely because they are good politicians, necessary politicians, effective politicians that I don’t want them wasted as a measly VP pick.
Does that seem counter intuitive? Well, as the founders always used to say, let’s let history be our guide. History tells us that the vice presidency is a career killer, a position to which we should try to avoid nominating our best guys.
Looking over the list of politicians that have run for vice president shows us a long, long list of fellows whose career essentially ended after the conclusion of the election. Even those candidates who won his quest for the second chair often found their political lives at a dead end once their term(s) were over.
Remember all the great stuff that Charles Fairbanks did after he left the Vice President’s chair? How about the heights of success that Vice President Alben Barkley went on to achieve? Does anyone recall the great works that losing VP candidate William Miller was famous for? Neither does anyone else. (Amusingly, Miller was one of the first people to appear on the “do you know me?” commercials for American Express credit cards. That shows how quickly he disappeared from the national scene.)

AP Misleads: Perry Did NOT Call for Romney to Release Tax Returns

The Associated Press does it again, falsely reporting something that might tend to make Mitt Romney look bad. This time, with a headline that screams, “Perry calls on Mitt Romney to release tax returns,” the AP garbles the story of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s comments about Romney’s tax returns. Contrary to the AP, Perry made no such call on Romney, however.
We should be suspicious of the initial AP report right off because it doesn’t contain a single, actual quote from Gov. Perry. Here is how the AP report begins:
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is calling on fellow Republican and former rival Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.
Perry said anyone running for office should make public as much personal information as possible to help voters decide.
The report goes on with a bit of padding but also notes that “Romney has come under increasing pressure” for not releasing more tax return information, a demand that itself is nonsense.

Washington Post Falsely Claims Rush Limbaugh Said Batman Movie Bad Guy is ‘Liberal Attack’ on Romney

It’s another case of newspaper columnists claiming someone they’ve never listened to in their lives is talking trash against them. This time it is Paul Farhi for the Washington Post who on July 17 claimed that Rush Limbaugh said that the super villain in the new Batman movie is a “liberal attack on Romney.”
Farhi’s headline reads, “Rush Limbaugh claims ‘Dark Knight’ movie is liberal attack on Romney,” but the truth is, of course, that Rush, did not say that the terrorist character Bane in the soon-to-debut Batman movie is meant as an underhanded slap at Mitt Romney. He just didn’t.
My guess is that Farhi only briefly scanned the transcript of Rush’s comments about the Batman movie made during his July 17 show because tone is telling when you actually hear the Rush’s comments as I did when the show was going on. Rush was not saying that the movie was planned as an attack on Mitt but that some pundits were making such a claim that day. He was also ambivalent on the whole thing, not claiming to have fully accepted the idea himself.

If You Watch Fox News, Obama Says You’re ‘Stubborn’

More from President Obama, the most negative campaigner in recent presidential campaign history. This time Obama is name calling Fox News fans, saying they are “stubborn” for having the temerity to frequent the most watched cable news station on the air.
At a campaign stop in Virginia on July 6, Obama thought it would be funny to take a shot at Fox News.
So, just in case some of your friends or neighbors, you know, uncle Jim who’s a little stubborn and been watching Fox News. Well, he thinks that somehow I raised taxes, let’s just be clear, we’ve lowered taxes for middle class families since I came into office.
The President has been touring the country claiming that the end of the Bush tax cuts will cause the government to “spend nearly a $1 trillion more” in tax cuts for the “wealthiest 2 percent of Americans.” Even factcheck.org says that this is a gross exaggeration.

Terror Trials: Delaying American Justice to Observe Ramadan

A military judge has just put off American justice in a terror trial so that the accused can observe Ramadan. So our culture, our system of justice is now to take a back seat to Islam. This is how our civilization ends and how we capitulate to radical Islamism without our firing a shot, folks.
As the AP reports, “A U.S. military judge agreed Monday to postpone the next court hearings at the Guantanamo Bay prison for five men charged in the Sept. 11 attacks to avoid a conflict with the Muslim holy period of Ramadan.”
Well, isn’t that nice of him? Those that perverted their own religion to launch an attack that killed thousands of Americans will be allowed to take a holiday from their prosecution!

Hey, Media, The House Did NOT Vote to Repeal Obamacare 33 Times

By the way, we missed this last week when the House voted to repeal Obamacare, but you may recall that the Old Media went bonkers to tell everyone that the July 11 vote was the “33rd time the Republicans voted to repeal Obamacre.” Only there is a little problem with that claim. It isn’t true.
The fact is, the House has only voted twice — not 33 times — to repeal Obamacare in its entirety. And the two times includes the July 11 vote.
Regardless of the truth, though, we were treated to media outlet after media outlet parroting the “33rd vote to repeal” narrative and acting as if it were the truth.
One example is Daniel Akst of Newsday, who scolded Republicans for this repeal attempt. “Despite a host of pressing national problems, House Republicans today voted for the 33rd time to repeal President Obama’s health care law,” Akst scornfully wrote.
Akst’s partisan, skewed those-evil-Republicans narrative was the one most media outlets went with.

Obama Just Hates Capitalism. Period.

Many are saying that President Obama just doesn’t understand capitalism, that his big government ideas are born of a misunderstanding of what makes the United States of America the great nation it has become. Many think that he just doesn’t grasp our American culture, our philosophy, and our founder’s vision. With his comments made at a campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia on July 13, one can easily think that might be the case.
Here is what he said about the business sector:

As they used to say on Saturday Night Live back in the day, “Barack you ignorant slut.”
Many are saying that this, along with a plethora of other off handed comments he’s made over the years proves he doesn’t understand the American economy. Other comments such as his 2008 claim that he wants to “redistribute” everyone’s wealth, his thought that he wanted to “necessarily bankrupt” the coal industry in order to implement jobs-killing faux enviro-nut rules, his crony loans to multiple failed Solyndra-like “green” energy companies, and his sweetheart deals with other friends, campaign donors, and members of his administration — all with OUR tax money — all this shows he is not a capitalist, but a quasi-fascist that thinks the State should own and control the business sector.
