Most leftists like to claim that religion is a sham, or, as many say it, religion is the “opium of the masses.” But the simple truth is, the left doesn’t do away with God it merely replaces him with the state. Worse, the left eliminates the Christian ideal of the sovereignty of the individual by eliminating the individual making him but a cog in god’s machine of the state.
The left claims that man is “basically good” and proceeds from there to claim that his actions are a result of his “society.” This means that properly guided by the state, this “good” will keep man and his society on the proper track. Man can be “perfected” in this way and since there is no individual, men will simply inculcate the state’s will.
Therefore, this concept holds that man is beholden to the state for everything from his daily sustenance and his physical well being, to his intellectual life, essentially his soul belongs to the state. Without the state the man is not only nothing, but in fact, cannot exist.
Ultimately, all power to create, to cogitate, to “be” is in the hands of the state. The state does not answer to any one person or any group but is a power unto itself, one without limits. Ergo the state assumes the mantle of God and becomes a literal god in his place.
The left does not hate religion. The left IS religion.

So, according to the Obama administration, if you are a Muslim in Illinois who signed a contract to work for a company, but you find that you just don’t want to do something your boss tells you to do, why, you just don’t have to do it. Oh, and if you are fired for refusing to do the work you contracted to do, why, Obama will sue your employer for you.
From the floor of the Senate, Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid has stated that all those thousands of Americans that have reported that Obamacare is driving up their costs, not reducing them, and that Obamacare is a “horror story” are simply lying. Yes, Harry Reid just called thousands of Americans liars.
Foreshadowing Obamacare, the family of a Canadian man who died sitting in his wheelchair in the waiting room of a Winnipeg hospital for 34 hours has withdrawn from the inquest being undertaken to find out what went wrong.
We all know that Obama has been abusing his power as President, trying to push his policies on Americans through backdoor means and subverting the legislative process, but what did Obama think of the penchant of presidents to extend executive power when he ran for president in 2008? Well he was against it for George W. Bush, of course.
Senator Dick Durbin is at it again, lying through his teeth, this time about Obamacare. On Sunday’s Meet The Press, Illinois Democrat Durbin made the wild-eyed claim that ten million Americans found new health insurance thanks to Obamacare. He also claimed that Obamacare would lower the deficit. But even the Washington Post gave its worst rating to Durbin’s lies.
Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee from Texas thinks it is the job of Congress to write a President’s Executive Orders. Apparently she doesn’t “get” that Obama is in the executive branch (hence the “executive” part of the Executive Orders) and she is in the legislative branch.
Now Obama is importing big government advocates from Europe to help him push Obamacare on Americans.
It looks like Barack Obama was taken for a ride with his administration’s failed negotiations with Iran over that country’s nuclear ambitions. The Iranians are touting the agreement as a victory over both Obama in particular and “the west” in general.
