The phrase “Obama lied, people died” should ring out from every corner of the country now that we know 100% for sure that Obama knew full well that no “anti-Muslim Youtube video” caused the attacks in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans. Obama knew as it was happening that it was a terror attack but lied to America anyway.
Fox News recently uncovered a stash of documents that proves beyond doubt that Obama and his advisers knew just after the attacks began that it was terrorism.
Fox News correspondent James Rosen reported on January 14 that 450 pages of sworn testimony by America’s highest ranking military officers makes the case clearly about what the administration knew and when it was known.
“Minutes after the American consulate in Benghazi came under assault on Sept. 11, 2012,” Rosen reported, “the nation’s top civilian and uniformed defense officials–headed for a previously scheduled Oval Office session with President Obama–were informed that the event was a ‘terrorist attack,’ declassified documents show.”
And yet, even as all Obama’s top advisors knew immediately that the attacks were terrorism, for weeks afterward Obama went to the nation and blamed it all on a Youtube video.
As the Heritage Foundation noted in 2012, “when the terrorist attack did take place, the Obama Administration peddled the ridiculous story that an offensive, amateurish, anti-Islam YouTube video was to blame in order to avoid characterizing the murders of four Americans as terrorism.”
This is a singularly damning report.
It is also one that needs to be held against then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as she prepares for her run for President in 2016.
Then again, Hillary told us that “at this point” the deaths of our ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi don’t even matter.
Obama has been caught lying many times. Remember how we could “keep our insurance if we liked it”?
