On Sept. 4, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) made a startling assertion saying that Obama circumvented the law when he summarily waived the work requirements in the welfare law. Perhaps not as shocking, to date, few news outlets seem interested in the story.
In its Sept. 4 letter, the GAO found that Health and Human Services (HHS) should have formally submitted a letter of its intent to make the changes to Congress and the Comptroller General before any waivers can be legally issued.
The letter also said that the GAO had not determined if HHS had the legal right to even make such waivers available. The GAO is basically saying that the Obama administration is breaking the law with its waivers.

Media Blackout: GAO Says Obama’s Welfare Waivers Illegal”

Democrats and their progressive cohorts are now trying to claim that Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan is lying about the number of times he’s hiked Colorado’s mountainsides. Naturally they are garbling the truth. Is there anything these left-wingers won’t try to make into an end-of-the-world outrage?
Friday morning’s Today show on NBC did its best to paint the most rosy scenario possible on Obama’s latest dismal jobs report. Attempting to inoculate Obama from this economic downturn, host Matt Lauer said that analysts he had “been reading” claimed that the economy will add up to 12 million new jobs, “no matter who is president in the next four years.”
One of the main themes of this fetid Democrat Convention is that we, the citizens of the United States of America, belong to the government. This is one of the most un-American ideas I’ve ever seen adopted by a major, important American political party.
Looks like some members of the Old Media establishment have resorted to using false names in order to buy Obama campaign merchandise inside the friendly confines of the media-only areas of the Democrat National convention this week.
TV viewing of the GOP convention dropped sharply over its 2008 counterpart and there is little reason to expect that the Democrat convention will fare any better this year. But the Republican’s affair was a big hit on social media and that will likely be mirrored this week for the Democrats.

One of the most vile members of the Senate is Dick “Turban” Durbin and he once again proved his ignorance and hatemongering on Fox News when asked why the

CNN took the time just ahead of the Democrat National Convention to put together a little primer on the history of the party and, while they do mention slavery as a prime issue in the party’s early days, no mention is made of its support of Jim Crow, Japanese Internment, or the Ku Klux Klan.
During Wednesday’s Republican convention an incident occurred that was immediately portrayed as an example of Republican “racism.” It was on the lips of every newscaster, in every paper, and on every cable TV show. But was it really an example of racism? There is much room for doubt.
At a recent campaign stop Obama openly lied about what the Romney camp said just as he was claiming the GOP nominee’s campaign is itself filled with lies.
You may recall the recent Newsweek cover that featured a photo of President Obama, mouth agape, coat over his shoulder, appearing above the words “Hit The Road, Barack.” The lefty Old Media establishment just hated that issue. The magazine buying pubic, on the other hand, seems to have lapped it up as the issue apparently has become one of Newsweek’s best sellers.
California Democrat Party Chairman John Burton is setting the Democrat National Convention off on the sort of demagogic footing that has characterized the Democrat’s campaign this year by accusing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan of being like Nazis, specifically Nazi official Joseph Goebbels.
