Apparently the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is not happy that the Oakland A’s have scheduled its first Jewish Heritage night. In fact, CAIR thinks that the mere fact that the A’s even have a night to recognize Jewish fans is somehow evidence that America is out to get Muslims.
It must be emotionally draining to be a Muslim. After all, they seem to spend every waking minute finding new things to get outraged over, their every breath seems dedicated to finding people giving them slight. And that’s not to mention the suicide bombings, death threats, and murderous riots! The delusion must be all consuming and tiring. I know it’s tiresome, anyway…

Democrat Mayor Dave Bing is struggling with a black hole of a budget deficit that he is stuck dealing with and one of his biggest stumbling blocks to fiscal sanity is the government unions. Oh, it isn’t just a few city government unions, either. He has 48 of them to deal with. 48 government unions all sucking up the tax payer’s dollars!
Since Barack Obama has taken over General Motors, the newly installed Obama-owned executives have come up with a way to save the floundering auto giant. They’ve come up with a new car model that they are absolutely sure will save the company.
Congressman Peter Roskam (R, ILL), Chief Deputy Whip, issued the following statement after the ratings agency Standard and Poor’s downgraded the United States long-term credit outlook from stable to negative:
At a private meeting with Chicago area donors, Barack Obama leveled some though talk at Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner and the Republicans. His posturing, we are told, was supposed to be private for the ears of his donors only but the White House communications staffers left Obama’s microphone up with the feed going straight to the general press corps.
I know, I know, I know… many conservatives are mad at the whole thing. It was too small, it was too timid, Boehner caved on Planned Parenthood, etc., etc., etc. But, can I just point out one other thing in Boehner’s favor, just for a little perspective?
I expect a lot of union protest and rallies in the coming month, and I fear that things will get ugly. The unions certainly are active, and protests this week took place from coast to coast, from Times Square to Olympia, WA. GM, Obama’s favorite federally owned car company, was thrilled to report in March that sales figures for the Chevy Cruze helped put the company on the fast track to success but it wasn’t the best news when the wheels began to literally fall off the Cruze causing a recall of GM’s “success” story.
