News today was revealed that Jesse Jackson, Jr. has put his Washington D.C. home up on the market. This after his many months in seclusion for “exhaustion” or whatever mental problem he’s claiming he had this week. So, my guess is Jesse Jackson will quit Congress.
If I had to bet, I’d guess he’ll quit just after he wins reelection, too.
Jackson put his home on the market in June so it is obvious he’s been planning this for some time. The house is listed for $2.5 million and you can see the video listing here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGxgMFwFXaI.
Why would he wait until after he wins re-election? So that he can be 100% sure that his Republican opponent couldn’t possibly take the seat. Not leaving anything to chance to keep the seat in Democrat hands, he’ll quit right after he wins re-election, for sure.
Does this serve his voters? Of course not. Democrats don’t care about what is moral, right or good for the people. They only care about power.
So, who is that Republican that Jackson wants to be sure and prevent from having any chance to unseat him? His name is Brian Woodworth.
Here is Brian Woodworth’s webpage for donations and info: http://www.woodworthforcongress.com/. And here is Woodworth’s Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/WoodworthforCongress.

One of George W. Bush’s real achievements in Afghanistan was his push for civil rights for Afghani women. Real successes were had as girls were at last allowed to go to school and women began to enter the realm of Afghan politics. Bush made equal rights for Afghan women a priority. Not so with his successor, Barack Obama, and his speech at the opening of the NATO meeting on Afghanistan was yet another missed opportunity to reassert that drive for civil rights in Afghanistan.
Back in August of 2011 I finally made it downtown to take a gander at the tacky Marilyn Monroe statue that was placed at Pioneer Court near the Tribune building on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. It was a horrible. But finally, we are told that

Last cycle this website did not support Mr. Morrison for the first district seat on the Cook County Board of Review. There was a big reason for this. Morrison was a heavy supporter, donor and voter for Democrats prior to suddenly launching his campaign as a Republican.
Cook County Comptroller, Constance Kravitz, was another one of those oh, so wonderful appointees of the dismal Todd Stroger, the previous failure that sat in Preckwinkle’s chair. Kravitz was struggling to make ends meet at $165,000 tax dollars annually, so I can see why it was so hard for her to get her facts straight at work. It’s a lot of pressure to be living at such subsistence pay, you know?
News today had it that two Cook County Commissioners have refused to take the agreed upon furlough days as required by the 2011 budget, days meant to save the county money. Both William Beavers and Earlene Collins have both refused to take the 10 days off.

Illinois ended 2010 as the most indebted state in the union. Sadly, not a thing has been done so far in 2011 to make it better. Instead, it will get worse.
