It’s about time one of these baseless, nuisance lawsuits against some decades-old display of the Christian faith was given the heave-ho out of court, as all of them should. And that is just what happened to a lawsuit demanding the removal of a cross memorial to the fallen of WWI that was erected nearly 100 years ago.
In a judge’s decision on Monday, Maryland federal judge Deborah Chasanow threw out a lawsuit that was demanding the removal of a cross monument standing in mute tribute to The Great War that was erected at the intersection of State Route 450 and U.S. Route 1 in Bladensburg, Maryland. The display was built by members of the American Legion in 1925.
The monument is part of a park built to Maryland veterans and also contains memorials to soldiers who died in WWII, Pearl Harbor, the Korean War, Vietnam and other wars and battles.

A new poll on religious affiliation in the country shows that the number of Christians has declined while the number of people not affiliated with a religion is up.
A useful idiot named John Banzhaf who claims to be a professor at George Washington University, but really spends his time filing nuisance lawsuits on all sorts of topics, has filed a complaint against a Catholic university because the Christian cross is displayed throughout the school. This loon claims that because there are Christian crosses everywhere, why, goshdurnnit, this must offend Muslim students. So he is demanding that the crosses be removed from the school.
So-called ethicist Richard Dawkins, famed as the world’s most active militant atheist, has now decided that all babies that don’t fit his definition of worthy should be aborted and that it is actually “immoral” if they are allowed to be born. Thus he feels that babies with Down Syndrome must be aborted and it is “immoral” not to do so.
In the pages of The New York Times columnist Timothy Egan unleashed an attack on religion that was at once wholly uninformed about both religion and American history yet entirely typical of how uninformed liberals typically are about both religion and history. Egan’s anti-religious rant was also quite hysterical by saying that there is little difference between business owners who don’t want to pay for abortion drugs and radical Islamic terrorists, another opinion increasingly gaining cachet on the left.
Reliably left-wing Time magazine recently picked the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, as its “person of the year” for 2013. This choice is odd for several reasons–after all the Pope stands against most of Time’s leftist ideals–but maybe the Pope’s recent Marxist-styled attack on capitalism explains the choice?

A school in South Carolina has been forced to cancel its annual toy collection drive for the charity Operation Christmas Child by atheists who claim that the event is “religious” and therefore should not be allowed.
Talk about making a mistake everyone can see! Atheists in California have done a disservice to their own crusade to spread atheism by launching a new billboard campaign that ascribes a false quote to Thomas Jefferson. That’s right, they’ve essentially become
