Nicholas Kristoff does a review of a book about the oppressed life of a young Muslim girl that was married off at 10-years-old. Kristoff laments this poor girl’s plight but not once mentions that she was from an Islamic culture. How can he discuss the evils of these sort of arranged marriages without mentioning Islam? You tell me…

A Canadian columnist has his door practically beaten down by Toronto’s stormtrooping police because he had a 30-year-old bird rifle that he forgot to re-register. America THIS is coming to YOUR door if the left gets its way in banning guns.
Some cultures are just plain evil and they must be destroyed. Uganda proves this with the rise in child “sacrifice” where kids are being abducted, murdered, and “sacrificed to the spirits” in order to bring good luck on adults.
Looks like the last Publius Podcast for 2009.

I am usually horribly remiss at self promotion, so let me take this post to toot my own horn — much as I am loathe to do it. Still, this is a great thing that I’d like to announce here.
I am now an official contributor to Andrew Breitbart’s BigCovernment.com website. My first post is titled Nidal Hasan: It’s Not Islam, It’s a ‘Military on the Brink’? and is up now.
BG.com really gets some major traffic, posts there will have the potential of seeing some 800,000 hits or so a month. In fact, BG.com gets some of the highest traffic in the conservative blogosphere. I am grateful that they’ve accepted my work.
Also, for those of you unaware, I also participate with Ann “Babe” Hugget in a BlogTalkRadio show we’ve titled “Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Conservatism.”
Finally, there is my Podcast.
Not to mention the dozen sites my work appears at, of course.
Anyway, mark this up as my self-promotion duties for the day.

In the recent race in New York’s 23rd District we saw a perfect example of the way that ACORN tries to undermine the political process.
For a Halloween treat, please enjoy this reading of Poe’s The Raven.
I always wanted to hear an old school, horror styled production of the raven, so here it is. The Raven replete with spooky music, lightning, and blustery weather sounds. This is a fun one to heighten your Halloween mood.

Time once again for another gripping Publius Forum podcast with yours truly (that’s me Warner Todd Huston). This time I dramatically read to you my op ed about the Dept. of Justice’s secret blogging team and wonder aloud if it’s illegal. I wonder aloud because it it wasn’t “aloud” you wouldn’t hear anything on the podcast.
Enjoy and don’t write any complaint letters. It’s free, after all.

Here is the latest Publius podcast about the New York Times article on the sad story of Mr. Eric De La cruz who died at 31 from heart disease. He was denied government healthcare from Social Security and Medicare and he died as a result. Yet the New York Times blames the insurance industry?

The main reason why the so-called progressive movement can’t win the hearts and minds of Americans is because they are liars. And no one trusts a liar.

You’ve just got to hear this great effort of some school bands and choruses doing the Battle Hymn of the Republic. It is inspiring.
It can be found on greatdanepromilitary.com and had it recommended to me by my friend Paul Young at prying1.blogspot.com.
