If you favor the Tea Party way or you are a gun owner, Jesse Jackson wants you to know you are a racist, terrorist just like members of the old Confederacy.
That’s right, Jackson thinks if you believe in the U.S. Constitution, you are a terrorist looking to over throw the government and kill black people and you want to bring back slavery and the old Confederacy.
He’s made these idiotic, hyperbolic statements many times, of course–like in the video above from Feb. of this year–But his latest statement was made in remarks to Politico on the eve of the anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

In the aftermath of the murder of Australian baseball player Christopher Lane, Australia’s former Deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer attacked the USA over its Second Amendment rights saying that our rights should be taken away from us.
Appearing on NBC, Fischer hyperbolically said that the USA was “corrupting the world” with of its Constitutional rights to bear arms.
“The U.S. has chosen the pathway of illogical policy with regard to guns. They cannot expect not to have any criticism of it worldwide. I am angry because it is corrupting the world, this gun culture of the United States,” Fischer said.

On the August 18 broadcast of NBC’s Meet The Press, New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said in direct terms that more people will face life threatening situations if the courts are successful in stopping the New York Police Department’s stop-and-frisk program.
Host David Gregory asked Kelly directly if people will die should the policy grind to a halt.
“Well, I think no question about it, violent crime will go up,” Kelly replied.

New reports are finding that President Obama’s take over of our healthcare system with his Obamacare law will give the government the right to force “inspections” on millions of American homes and your guns may be one of the factors causing a “forced” inspection.
Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website details the “Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program” which give the government the right to invade any home of families Obama deems is a “high-risk” home.
One of the criteria of an “high-risk” home is the presence of firearms, according to a manual published by HHS in 2006.
According to Freedom Outpost other markers of a “high-risk” home are:

The newspaper editor that caused such controversy in 2012 after publishing the names and home addresses of thousands of gun owners in New York has been laid off, according to the Rockland County Times.
Caryn McBride, editor of the Rockland Journal News was laid off by Journal News Publisher and CEO Janet Hasson. Along with McBride, 17 writers and 26 staffers were also let go.
McBride became infamous for OKaying the publication of an interactive map on the paper’s Internet site made up of the names and home addresses of thousands of legal gun owners in New York’s Rockland County. Her paper got the information from the county clerk’s office.

The saying, “More Guns Less Crime,” seems to be coming true if the Commonwealth of Virginia is any indication as gun sales have soared there even as crime rates have fallen.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch has the story, noting that, “Major gun crime collectively dropped for a fourth consecutive year statewide, while firearms sales climbed to a new record in 2012 with 490,119 guns purchased in 444,844 transactions–a 16 percent rise over 2011.”
The proliferation of guns occurred as the total number of major reported crimes committed with all types of firearms in Virginia dropped 5 percent, from 4,618 offenses in 2011 to 4,378 last year, according to Virginia State Police data.
Looking back over seven years, total firearm sales in Virginia have risen a staggering 101 percent from 2006 to 2012, while gun-related crime has dropped 28 percent during that period.
Now, notice what this means. It means that the left is wholly wrong when it says over and over again that “more guns on the streets means more crime.” It is patently false.

If you like your bang sticks, try this .905 caliber rifle, sold as the largest caliber rifle in the world. It has a kick so strong that it simply cannot be fired off-handed and must be bench fired.
The big iron was made by Ohio-based SSK Industries and packs a wallop both on the range and in the wallet.
The monstrous bullet this piece fires costs about $40 a shot and is made up of 2,400 grains of lead and 240 grains of smokeless powder. When fired it flies at about 2,100 feet per second. The bullet is “25,400 foot pounds of muzzle energy and recoil is 277 foot pounds of recoil energy which is like firing ten thirty aught sixes at one time,” said Dave Fricke of Millennium Manufacturing.
If you are going to fire this puppy, you’d better be ready for a shoulder bruise that’ll last a few days.
For a little comparison, a typical sniper round weighs about 200 grains of lead, but THIS thing is made of 2,40 grains of lead!
Of course, this rifle is over kill, if you’ll excuse the pun. This rifle is useless for practically everything a gun could be used for. But it isn’t its utility that it was created for. It was created for the novelty of it all. This rifle can’t be used in hunting or even war, granted, but firing a nearly one thousand caliber gun? That is just plain fun for many.

Even though Florida’s Stand Your Ground law had absolutely no part at all in either the death of her son or the prosecution of the man that shot him, Trayvon Martin’s mother is now trying to make a name for herself by becoming an advocate for repealing Florida’s self protection law.
We all know the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman drama, I assume. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, was attacked and beaten by the six-foot-tall Trayvon Martin, a person unknown to the neighborhood, when Zimmerman pulled out his gun and shot Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman was then arrested and charged with murder but was acquitted early in July. Not guilty, said an all-woman jury.
Florida’s Stand Your Ground law had no part in the trial, though. Zimmerman’s defense did not invoke the law and neither did the prosecution. So what the heck is Martin’s mother yammering about?
Who knows. But Sybrina Fulton (gee, not “Martin”? Yeah) is now throwing her voice behind the effort started by left-wing members of the National Bar Association to repeal the law. She spoke up at a convention in Miami Beach at the end of July.

The Missouri legislature passed a bill that would essentially nullify any federal interference in the state’s gun laws. But Governor Jay Nixon vetoed the bill telling the legislature that they could not oppose the federal government (so much for the 10th Amendment, eh?).
Early in July the governor vetoed a bill that would have made it a state crime for federal officials to attempt to enforce federal gun laws. The bill also would have made it a crime for journalists and activists to publish the names and addresses of gun owners in the state.
Governor Nixon said that the law violated the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution giving the federal government preference over state laws. He also noted that the bill violated the freedom of the press and free speech.

New York Mayor Michael “Nanny” Bloomberg has been running all over the country claiming to represent hundreds of America’s mayors with his anti-gun group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG). But Nanny Bloomberg is lately finding that many of those mayors are abandoning his anti-gun group over the mayor’s false advertising about just what his group is about.
A recent look at the 2012 membership rolls of MAIG finds that some 50 mayors have recently quit Bloomberg’s anti-Second Amendment group.
Of course, some of those mayors are off the list because they lost an election or have left office for whatever reason. But many have specifically asked to be removed from the group.
Two mayors in particular have left because they say that Bloomberg misled them about what MAIG was going to be about in the first place.

Illinois State Representative Monique Davis is blaming the Chicago Police Department for the high number of killings in the Windy City. She’s not just blaming the CPD for bad policing, though. She wonders if it is the police themselves doing some of the killing.

Chicago’s activist Catholic Priest, Father Michael Pfleger, took the occasion of the George Zimmerman trial to race to the streets to stir his flock, preparing them for “civil disobedience,” and leading a rally to decry the not guilty verdict reached in the Florida case. Pfleger also claimed that teen Trayvon Martin is somehow just like civil rights icon Emmett Till.
Pfleger, a long-time left-wing activist in the city, took to the streets of Chicago holding a sign that read “I Am Trayvon Martin,” and announced to the media that on Sunday he was going to urge his flock of mostly African Americans at St. Sabina Church to “civil disobedience.”
Before the verdict was announced on July 13, Pfleger took to his Facebook page and in an all caps post asked God for a conviction of Zimmerman.

On July 14, close Obama adviser David Axelrod quickly resorted to Twitter to use the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial as a call for stricter gun control.
In one Tweet, Axelrod issued the inflammatory claim that George Zimmerman “stalked” Trayvon Martin. The presidential confidant also claimed that Martin was “minding his own business” when he was shot. This is undermined by evidence of the beating that Zimmerman suffered at the hands of Martin.
In a second Tweet, Axelrod criticized Zimmerman for having a gun that night, as if blaming the gun itself for the incident.
…the undeniable fact is that none of this would have happened if an emboldened George Zimmerman were not carrying a gun that night. 2/2

Are you an evil gun owner whose “gun religion” requires “live child sacrifices” to appease your gun god? Well now there is a smart phone ap to expose your home address to the world.
Gun Geo Marker is now available for anti-gun smart phone users to upload the home address of gun owners to a database created to mark “dangerous guns and gun owners.”
The ap was developed by University of California San Diego lecturer and anti-gun hobbyist Brett Stalbaum who claims that his project is meant to track “irresponsible” gun owners. But reading his ap website tends to affirm that Stalbaum thinks all gun owners are irresponsible–as with the “gun religion” comment.
As Stalbaum explains on the ap’s webpage, “Yes, I guess this is the same as ‘publicly geotag[ing] homes of people believed to belong to a particular religion.’ True enough, if your religion requires live child sacrifices to appease a cold, tubular god.”

A staffer for Michigan Congressman, Democrat John Conyers, was arrested for bringing a concealed gun into a federal courthouse in Detroit but faced little by way of sanction or punishment as a result.
Rep. John Conyers’ office manager, Betty Petrenz, had the pistol in her purse as she entered the court building and told police that she simply forgot she had it in there.
She faced no prosecution and was given what one prosecutor called “a gift” for a penalty. She received a ticket for having a gun on federal property and got what is called “pretrial diversion,” a sentence that involves neither jail time nor a fine. It merely requires the person to be on good behavior for a specified period of time after which the ticket is dismissed.
Tresa Baldas of the Detroit Free Press found that three other people who also accidentally brought their guns into the courthouse were treated a bit differently.

In a reversal of greenism, Michael Bloomberg’s New York Metropolitan Transit Agency is giving up on hybrid transportation.
The city with the mayor nicknamed “Nanny Bloomberg” may be stumping for all sorts of chic, activist causes, from the campaign to rid us of our Second Amendment rights, to the elimination of trans fats in our foods, to the downsizing of soda portions, but one cause the city is souring on is hybrid busses.
The New York Post reports that the city hasn’t bought a new hybrid buss in three years and is now moving to retrofit many of the ones it has with diesel engines.
The MTA is reporting that it will retrofit 389 hybrid electric busses with diesel engines because the hybrid engines are too unreliable and too expensive to repair.
“The electric-traction motors are burning out. They’re so expensive to replace that it’ll be cheaper to stick a diesel engine in there,” a source inside the MTA told the Post.

There was once a day when the Democrat Party was very concerned about the protections of the U.S. Constitution and the due process of the law. But they used that fealty to the law of the land to protect slavery and disenfranchise blacks. To eliminate this, the system was used against Democrats to destroy their evil intent. Democrats learned a lesson from this, sure, but it was the wrong one. Instead of learning that the Constitution and the law is good, now, with their 100-year-old fealty to un-American, European-styled socialism, Democrats use that same system to undermine every tenet of Americanism. The lesson they learned was not to look for the intent of the law but to use the law as a weapon to destroy enemies.
Sadly, the Democrat Party has never been a force for good in this country.
Take the Second Amendment, for instance. Like the good apparatchiks they are, Democrats pretend they love the U.S. Constitution and blithely tell the media that they would never want to take away guns. Why, all they want, they say, is “common sense” gun laws that keep us all safe while protecting our Constitutional rights of self-defense.
This, however, is a blatant lie.
Look to Illinois, the last, deeply blue state to hold out for passing a concealed carry law, a law that the Supreme Court of the United States has demanded they pass.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-Second Amendment group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, has lost another member, this time the mayor of Rockford, Illinois–the state’s third largest city.
At a townhall-styled event sponsored by the Rockford Tea Party on June 22 in Loves Park, Illinois, Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey announced that he has, indeed, quit Mayor Bloomberg’s gun group because Bloomberg’s group was not fulfilling what Morrissey felt was the group’s stated intentions.
Morrissey has for some time been saying he intended to quit the anti-gun group and some citizens wondered if this was just electioneering, but at this most recent townhall event, Mayor Morrissey has for the first time said definitively that he is out.
In the video shot by local political blogger Ulysses Arn, Mayor Morrissey said the chief reason he left Bloomberg’s group is because he thought the group would be against illegal guns but has instead become a group looking for ways to ban legal guns and attack the rights of legal gun owners. He also said that he intends to get a concealed carry license himself when they become available in Illinois.
Morrissey also made a salient point about the sort of guns Bloomberg’s group keeps harping on. The mayor pointed out that the sort of gun crime he sees in Rockford has nothing whatever to do with “assault rifles” but is instead criminal use of handguns. Yet Bloomberg’s group seems chiefly interested in so-called assault rifles despite the fact that little crime is committed by criminals using assault rifles.

In the aftermath of the crime at a Colorado movie theater where 12 people were murdered, the Colorado State legislature quickly moved to adopt stricter gun laws and Senate President John Morse led that effort. But now, after his anti-gun bills were successfully passed into law, Morse faces a recall election that could turn him out of office.
On June 18, Colorado certified that the recall effort had gained enough signatures to move forward making Senator leader Morse the first legislator to ever be recalled in the state’s history.
Morse, a Democrat from Colorado Springs, has been in the legislature for seven years and for a short time was the police chief of Fountain, Colorado. He became Senate majority leader in 2009 after the former occupant of that office resigned to join the Obama administration.
Senator Morse not only supported but championed the new laws that limited ammunition magazines to 15 rounds or less and mandated that background checks be performed even for private transactions on gun sales. Morse also strongly supported several other, even stricter measures but they failed to pass.
Despite the complaints of constituents, the Senator is wholly unapologetic for his strong support of the new gun laws.

You know the claim, right? Islamic terrorists don’t allow any sort of pork products to come near them. Well, one ammunition company is taking advantage of that religious tenet by making bullets dipped in pork-infused paint. They say that since radical Islamists don’t like pork, these bullets may deter terrorism.
The ammunition company, Jihawg Ammo, says that their goal is to turn the tables on the radicals.
“We at Jihawg Ammo hope you will stock up on Jihawg as a natural deterrent to the ever growing threat of radical Islam and Sharia Law. We, however, stress that the nullifying principle of our product is only effective if you are attacked by an Islamist in Jihad. Otherwise, our ammo functions just like any other ammunition so we obviously insist upon defensive use of our ammo only-not offensive.”
It is a nice, kitschy way to sell a product, of course, but the fact is Islam is quite a bit more flexible than that.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the 24-year-old Santa Monica shooter had a history of mental illness but leads a June 9 story with the claim of an “unnamed source” who said that the killer had a “fascination with guns.”
In the Times report the story about killer John Zawahri leads with two paragraphs detailing the claims of this unnamed source, but the spends many more paragraphs discussing his mental health problems and run-ins with the law.
It is interesting that the paper leads with this claim when there is far more evidence of Zawahri’s run-ins with the police in the past, his reputation as a young man with an explosive temper, and his undefined mental problems.
Yet the paper quotes an unnamed person said to be familiar with the murderer and his family who feels he had “a fascination with guns.” This unnamed person also claims that many people were worried about Zawahri’s gun fixation and also wondered where he got the money for the firearms.
But the Times finds that Zawahri had a history of emotional problems. He was upset over his parents divorce and police had been called to his family home in 2006 over an incident of domestic violence.

Chicago has been one of the most dangerous places in the country to live for the last several years with gang shootings wracking the city. To address this plague of gangs, Senator Mark Kirk (R, IL) proposed that some 18,000 gang members be rounded up and prosecuted. Now several African American leaders in Chicago are lambasting Kirk for his idea and one former gang member turned Congressman is demanding a meeting with the Senator.
Early in May, Senator Kirk succumbed to utter frustration over the powerlessness of the Chicago police to stop the violence and demanded that the federal government step in and take over.
Speaking of High School cheerleader Hadiya Pendleton, a teen killed during gang violence in 2012, Kirk said of the gangs, “I would like to crush them, because they shot Hadiya.”
“My top priority is to arrest the Gangster Disciple gang, which is 18,000 people. I would like to do a mass pickup of them and put them all in the Thomson Correctional Facility. I will be proposing this to the assembled federal law enforcement: ATF, DEA and FBI,” the Senator said.
Kirk has noted that the law enforcement community has met his idea with skepticism but law enforcement isn’t the only sector of the city to find fault.

Now we get to the height of idiocy with a school “no tolerance” policy with a boy who was suspended just for saying the word gun.
A 11-year-old boy from Northern Middle School in Owings, Maryland has told his mom and dad that he wants to be a Navy SEAL one day, but getting pout of grade school may be a problem for him if Northern authorities have anything to say about it. You see, the sixth-grader was suspended last December just because he used the word “gun” at school.
Todd Starnes reports that the boy’s father, Bruce Henkelman, found out that his son had been talking with other kids on the school bus when the incident happened.

The boy’s father is himself a retired Navy veteran.

The Charlestown Gazette recently published the editorial by a Marshall University professor who advocated using an “M1A Abrams tank, supported by an F22 Raptor squadron with Hellfire missiles” to kill NRA members, Republicans, Conservatives, and those who support the Second Amendment.
In an anti-gun piece that could best be described as a foaming-at-the-mouth tirade, Professor Christopher Swindell employs incredibly overheated rhetoric, punctuated by constant name calling, spiced with grammatical errors and out right lies to expound upon his hate for those with whom he disagrees.
Early in his piece, for instance, Swindell describes the rhetoric of supporters of the Second Amendment as “knuckle-dragging Cretan talk.” Yes, he wrote “Cretan talk.” A twofer that is both misspelled and needlessly capitalized.

Living up to his promise to attack even Democrats that he deems insufficiently anti-gun, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced an ad buy to criticize Arkansas’ Democrat Senator Mark Pryor.
Pryor, who will be running for a third term in 2014, recently voted against the Toomey-Manchin anti-gun bill drawing the ire of Bloomberg and his Mayors Against Illegal Guns group.
Bloomberg’s group has announced a $350 thousand buy for a two-week campaign.
The video ad features former Democratic staffer Angela Bradford-Barnes mourning the loss of Democrat Party chairman Bill Gwatney who was shot to death in 2008 as he worked at party headquarters in Little Rock.
No motive for the shooting was ever determined by police.
In the anti-Pryor ad, Angela Bradford-Barnes mentions Gwatney’s murder and then says that she was “disappointed when Mark Pryor voted against comprehensive background checks.”

CNN’s chief anti-gun zealot Piers Morgan may have been loathe to admit it, but this IRS scandal seems to validate some of his detractor’s distrust of government.
During his evening show on May 16, Morgan’s guest was magician Penn Jillette and the discussion turned to the admission by the Internal Revenue Service that it had misused its offices to intimidate President Obama’s opponents. Morgan seemed to ruefully come to understand that this abuse of power lends credence to those that say the government cannot be trusted.
“I’ve had some of the gun, pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, ‘Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government,’ and I’ve always laughed at them. And I’ve always said ‘don’t be so ridiculous, your own government won’t turn itself on you.’ But, actually, when you look at this–this has nothing to do with guns–but actually this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government. I think what the IRS did is bordering on tyrannical behavior, I think what the Department of Justice has done, actually, to the AP, is bordering on tyrannical behavior.”
We might recall that Piers Morgan was skeptical of Breitbart’s own Ben Shapiro for making just that point earlier this year.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe host, Joe Scarborough, is nearly apoplectic over the recent IRS admission that it used the power of its office to intimidate conservative groups throughout Obama’s presidency. Not necessarily because the IRS was acting so poorly, but because the scandal hurts his anti-gun argument.
During the recent debate over gun control in the Senate, Scarborough was a big booster of the Toomey/Manchin gun bill.
One of the arguments against the two Senators’ bill was that expanded background checks would likely lead to an un-Constitutional gun registry. Opponents maintained that the government wasn’t trustworthy enough not to misuse the information that would be gleaned from universal background checks.
In April Scarborough called anyone that opposed his support of the Toomey/Manchin bill an “extremist.”
This week, after the current IRS scandal hit the news, Scarborough is changing his tune albeit if only slightly.

Outside of Chicago’s museums gangs are killing each other at an alarming rate. But due to Chicago’s strict gun ban policies, inside those museums curators are not allowed to display historical firearms. In fact, in some cases the museums are not even allowed to store their collections inside the city limits.
The matter has become an issue after the family of the late Major General William Levine, one of America’s highest ranking Jewish generals, donated his belongings to Chicago’s Pritzker Military Library this year. The collection included a firearm that the general picked up in Germany during WWII.
But the library isn’t allowed to display the captured German pistol. In fact, the library isn’t even allowed to store it in the collection inside city limits.
“We realized when we received that gift that we couldn’t keep that gun in the city of Chicago,” said Ken Clarke, Pritzker Military Library CEO.
To correct this foolish oversight in the law, powerful city alderman Ed Burke has proposed a museum amendment to the city’s strict gun ban law.

Square payment services is one of those new payment applications that merchants can put on a smart phone and, along with the plug-in hardware, is used like a credit card swipe machine to accept payments made by their customers. This month, however, Square has changed its user policy and is now prohibiting merchants from using the service to sell anything firearm related.
The new user agreement has altered its “Your Square Account” section to add a new category for things that Square won’t allow its service to be used for.
The new prohibition reads: “(23) sales of (i) firearms, firearm parts or hardware, and ammunition; or (ii) weapons and other devices designed to cause physical injury.”
This is the next battle for gun owners to fight. Liberals and anti-Constitutionalists continue to lose with efforts to curtail our freedoms via Congress and the courts so they are attacking our credit, banking, and sales sectors attempting to scare them into putting an end to the selling of firearms and firearm related items at the retail level.
Another area of attack comes in the field of investments. Some Democrats and anti-gun zealots are targeting investment firms that hold stock in gun companies. Others are trying to intimidate cities and individuals into pulling investments out of gun companies.
