Obama’s Department of Justice has summarily removed federal funding from two Louisiana youth programs, one a Young Marines program, because a local official refused to sign a pledge stating he would require the programs to ban mentions of God.
Julian Whittington, the sheriff of Bossier Parish, La., told Fox News that Obama’s Justice Office of Civil Rights defunded the Young Marines chapter and another youth program over mentions of religion. In the case of the Young Marine program, chartered in 1965, the funding was cut off because the group features an oath that mentions “God.” In the other case it was because a program for at risk youth featured a voluntary, student-led prayer session as one of its activities.
Sheriff Whittington says that the DOJ withdrew a combined $30,000 from the programs because the groups refused to remove God from their activities. The sheriff said this was evidence of the government’s “aggression and infringement of our religious freedoms.”

The166 detainees that are still at the Guantanamo Bay’s Camp 6 apparently have some interesting activities to keep them occupied. Among other activities the terrorists enjoy training classes in “interviewing and resume writing” as well as “writing success.”
A new study of the most controversial entries on Wikipedia, the crowd sourced, online encyclopedia, shows that in the English language entry the most fought over is the biography of George W. Bush.
The intrepid Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News has been one of the few reporters attempting to dig deep into controversial stories–and by controversial we mean stories that Obama would rather see go away. But after her work on Fast & Furious and Benghazi, she is now reporting that she’s been shut out of the information loop by the White House.
On the May 19 broadcast of CNN’s State of the Union, host Candy Crowley said that Obama was late in identifying the attacks in Benghazi as terrorism quite contrary to what she said during the Presidential debates late last year.
According to Lisa Myers of NBC news, Democrats are starting to get worried about the testimony delivered by the Benghazi whistleblowers on Wednesday. Myers says she has been the recipient of phone calls by Democrats who are trying to undermine that testimony.
MSNBC talker Toure thinks he has discovered a key security flaw in our nation’s policies and has suggested a solution. Poverty in the Muslim world, he says, is a key threat to U.S. security and to nullify that threat we should open the borders wide and let all Muslims come here to get jobs so that their poverty can be alleviated.
Reddit has officially apologized for users’ assumption that an innocent and missing Brown University student was a likely suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.
On his Sunday broadcast, CNN’s Howard Kurtz was critical of both CNN’s and the rest of the media’s coverage of the quickly moving story of the apprehension of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects on Friday. “What is the rush to put this information that has not been confirmed on the air?” Kurtz asked of his own network as well as the rest of the progressive media establishment.
CNN commissioned an explosives expert in New Mexico to build and detonate a homemade bomb built from a pressure cooker, filming the blast in slow motion to study the damage it can cause.
What one resident of Cambridge, Massachusetts had to say about the atmosphere in that liberal area of the state was quite telling in revealing how essentially un-American leftism truly is. This resident practically admitted that the in that college town, everyone expresses the same basic hate for America that dead terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev so often did. When he terrorist Tsarnaev was heard attacking America in conversation, no one paid it any mind.

Before the dust has settled, before any idea of who perpetrated the Boston Marathon bombing and why is determined, the Boston Globe is fretting for the city’s Muslims claiming that there will surely be a “backlash” if the bombers are found to be Islamic extremists. This despite that even after 9/11 there was never any real backlash against Muslims in this country.

Easter is coming up and I think this is an ideal time to make some important historical points about the city of Jerusalem.

Pamela Geller and the American Freedom Defense Initiative have launched a new series of bus ads, this time in San Francisco, California, and the results in the media are typical of the distortions constantly thrown at Geller and her ad campaigns.
Catching up on how the media treated the days before Pope Francis became the new leader of the Catholic Church, as the Vatican hosted its conclave, NBC looked into the work of Asian Cardinal Luis Antonio “Chito” Tagle–a possiblePapal candidate–and came to the sad conclusion that he was just as traditional as any other cardinal. As NBC ruefully noted, Tagle is “no reformer.”
The Old Media has been looking for ways to attack the new Pope, Francis I, since he was introduced to the world. Initially, the media attempted the needle the new Pontiff into “reforming” the Church or face failure, but this week it seems that there is a new line of attack: he is an advocate for dictators.
