People often wonder what is the difference between a conservative and a liberal. The simple fact of the matter is that the major difference is that conservatives wonder first what it is they are responsible for while liberals wonder first what everyone else should be doing for them.
Here are some brief rules of thumb:
- If a conservative sees a U.S. flag, his heart swells with pride.
- If a liberal sees a U.S. flag, he feels shame.
- If a conservative doesn’t like guns, they don’t buy them.
- If a liberal doesn’t like guns, then no one else should have one either.
- If a conservative is a vegetarian, he won’t eat meat.
- If a liberal is, they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

We are speeding headlong toward a time when our Congress will have become just like Mad King George’s Parliament, that body from which in 1776 the American colonists separated with the rallying cry of “no taxation without representation.” Our national government is fast becoming just as unrepresentative of the people as far off Briton was when we went to war to become the United States of America.

Rob Thomas, singer/songwriter and front man for the band Matchbox 20, has successfully proven an old adage: Don’t Keep quiet and let people think you’re a fool. Open your mouth and remove all doubt. He has also shown us all that the American system of education is in pretty sorry shape. But, one thing is sure, Mr. Thomas “feels good” about himself, so he’s got that whole self esteem thing down nicely. Sadly, he lacks some basis for the conceit.
Just imagine one morning you rise up bright and early, go get your usual cup o’ joe from the kitchen then plunk yourself down in front of your computer to pull up the Drudge Report only to find out that you’ve made headline news by being banned from a country that you never even intended to visit. Snap, crackle and ka-pow is not the best way to start the day but that is exactly how conservative and controversial national talk show host, Michael Savage, started his day earlier this week.
