So Now A School Says We Can’t Even Discuss Religion in Private?

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

So my youngest son Cody, who is a Senior at Moses Lake High School, is a budding Chef. He joined the afterschool Culinary Team through SkillsUSA last January, and right off the bat won an alternate spot in the Washington State competition. He has been winning ever since. (Take THAT Charlie Sheen.)

This past summer he helped set up and work at the new Chief Academy Cafe, an off-campus student-run cafe (the only one in the nation) where kids learn how to set up a business, deal with local codes and sanitation, order supplies, wait on customers, cook the food and try recipes, etc. It is a fantastic experience, especially for a young man who has chosen that career path. On top of that, the Cafe makes a tidy profit for the district. Yup, it’s a bastion of Free Enterprise at work. Other districts should take note!

The teacher, whom I’ll call Mr. F, runs the cafe and teaches the students what they need to know in the restaurant business and the best ways to cook and bake. Cody loved it so much he signed up for the Cafe for his second hour of class as preparation for his final year on the Culinary Team next semester. He’s even creating a dish with the help of Mr. F for his big Senior Project.

They Huff and They Puff But They Can’t Get Their Facts Straight

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

Oh Huffington Post…your dance card, like your professionalism and Arianna’s appeal, is shrinking.

Once the darling of the left with a handful of legitimate writers, and still the drooling lap dog of George Soros, you have deteriorated into the pubescent Facebook crowd of shout-much-do-nothing-good generation that only decades of freedom-crushing communist teaching can create.

Why all the fuss? It started when a young George Washington University student friend of mine sent me the following news story featured at the increasingly absurd Huffington Post:

UPDATE!! Produce Starting to Rot But Prices Barely Coming Down

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

So I was at the store tonight, and fortunately, my favorite produce clerk was there. The Roma Tomatoes were holding steady since I wrote on them earlier in the week, so we talked plums for a bit.

My life is plum exciting…yours is about to be too.

There were two kinds there, the black (left) and the red (right.) Neither of them were particularly big individually…plums usually are pretty small.

Ed Dawn, Invasion of the Dept. of (r)Ed

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

It started when I was getting my Bachelor of Science degree (B.S., appropriately enough) at Idaho State University.

I refused to join the SNEA, the pre-NEA student organization that infests the Colleges of Education all across America.

None of my friends who were also in the Education Program refused to join; in fact, they thought me a fool for not doing so. I guess they didn’t see a problem with it. And if you glance at the rosy picture the SNEA painted on their section of the NEA website, I guess you would agree…if you’re blind and easily led.

There are enough “code words” in their polished statement to be used by WWII submarines. I felt that familiar pricking at the back of my skull that I’ve gotten as far back as I can remember whenever I’m confronted with a person or group that reeks of wretched. Since I knew the SNEA would be temporary and my inevitable goal was to graduate, I skipped that part and went right to the tenets of the NEA. It was, after all, where I would eventually be asked to join.

How Does the Price of Produce Shoot Up 100% in 2 Days?

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

He joked about it this week on his radio show:

Glenn has been warning about rising food prices, and he plans to prepare by eating as many McGriddles as possible.

“Corn, sugar, wheat, beef, pork, and coffee, the prices are already soaring. Cotton prices are near their highest level in more than a decade. Clothing prices are going to go up they say 10 to 30% in the next few weeks,” he said.

Vegetable prices are rising as well, and Glenn said that due to the costs he may not have to embark on his new vegan/stick/soy/really disgusting food diet.

And at his online daily magazine The Blaze, editor Meredith Jessup had this to say this week:

Why This Mormon Will Not Vote for Mitt Romney

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

***This is an updated article on one I originally wrote on December 28, 2007. Given the recent event in New Hampshire, I found it apropos to update it.***

I have come to the conclusion that Mitt Romney is a Mormon In Name Only (MINO.) I know this requires an explanation, especially for those who may know nothing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And even more so for my fellow Mormons.

Another Mystery Missile, Now off The Coast of Texas

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

After 9 Days of Silence From KCNA

Early morning, January 5, 2011, I posted the following on my blog:

Well, it’s January 5, and after 9 days with NO CHANGE, the KCNA today put up December 28 and 29, then January 4. And most of the articles were about New Years’ greetings, Kim’s birthday next month, US has no face to take issue with DPRK’s nuclear activities, Die American Die, yadda yadda yadda.

Pretty Pathetic, Kim, but then, we’d go into deep shock if you ever went above nutless pathos…

I was up late every night those 9 days, waiting to see if the Korea Central News Agency would post something, torn between the dread of having to wade through the absurd rhetoric and mind-numbing childish rationalizations and the ominous foreboding I always feel when North Korea go days without any of its usual absurd rhetoric and mind-numbing childish rationalizations.

Sacred War, Holy War: The Secret Combination of Islam and Communism

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

“…we have seen in the past – over and over again – that evil seeks out evil, that they create secret combinations and make blood oaths against the good people of the earth. They bond together in their mutual treachery, and no malevolence is too much for them to consider.”

I wrote that, 8 years ago, in my first ever articles, a three-piecer that Joseph Farah asked me to write for World Net Daily. Most of my friends laughed.

That was then….

Three Wise Men Following A New Star

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

It’s that time of year again: Three Wise Men following a new star.

A shooting star, that is.

And like those ancient oracles, these men of honor know better than others what that star means. That’s why we should once again listen to The Wise Men, for what they have to say is unprecedented.

On November 8, a mystery missile lit the dusk skies off the coast of Los Angeles. After about 3 days of swearing that no one knew what it was, suddenly the Pentagon swore first that it wasn’t a threat, then that it was “just an airplane contrail,” and that anyone who said different had fallen for an “optical illusion.”

MIG Alley Remix, Oh Lord It’s On

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

Defense Minister-designate Kim Kwan-jin expressed firm resolve to take a strong retaliatory action, including air strike, in the event of another North Korean military provocation during his parliamentary confirmation hearing Friday…Noting that South Korea is in the most serious crisis situation since the 1950-53 Korean War, Kim said that he will set up an operational plan to bolster military capabilities to protect the five border islands in the West Sea…Immediately after the artillery attack, the military sent some 400,000 anti-North leaflets to the North in a reversal of its cautious stance. The military had been cautious about fully resuming the psychological warfare as it could seriously provoke the reclusive state.
Kim warns air strike on North Korea, The Korea Herald

So it’s come to this. For the first time in 60 years, the specter of air war is a reality over the Land of the Morning Calm. This is highly significant; it is the first time in almost 6 decades that South Korea has put the option of air strikes back on the table. The first time this century.

Shelling civilians, hidden under water nuke factories, NoKo tunnels under the DMZ, and the South Korean decision to stage air raids on any further NoKo provocations—at long last—certainly makes for exciting times. The promise of air strikes opens the possibility of a repeat of history: the first known jet vs. jet air battles that occurred 60 years ago and came to be known famously as MiG Alley.

Avoiding War at Any Costs Usually Costs Too Much

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

When Secretary of State Dean Acheson declared that Korea was “not in our sphere of influence,” Communism paid attention. When President Truman removed all but 500 troops from the Korean peninsula prior to June, 1950, Communism paid attention. When Kim Il Sung, who had been trained in Marxism during his exile in Siberia, taught his people that Americans had a silly sentimentality about the individual human life and would hesitate to fire on screaming, unarmed civilians, his Communist soldiers listened, and went through villages on their rampage south forcefully conscripting young Korean men and forcing the old, female, and children to form a circle around them as they fired at our men, who did indeed hesitate to fire back, causing many Americans to die in the early days of the war.

And — you guessed it — Communism paid attention.

And when we allow Political Castration to stop us from profiling, when we allow leaders to vacation in decadent opulence while people are losing homes, jobs, and futures, when we refuse to call things that are evil “bad” and things that are righteous “good,” when we allow ourselves to be lied to about sub-launched missiles and contrails, when we restrain our soldiers from actually fighting and winning, when we ignore their desires to NOT have to serve with openly gay and fabulous members, when we give enemy groups extra rights while denying friends and allies basic rights, Communism pays attention.

Combine TSA and Healthcare, Killing All Birds With Two Stones

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

There’s been a lot of talk lately about two things: stopping the out-of-control spending by the elite and the airport grope-fests we who choose to take flight like the birds must now face so that none of the real terrorists get their pathetic feelings hurt.

Since both the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Health Care (HC) are under the control of our bloated, belching government, my friend Peter Gourley had a brilliant idea.

Why not combine the two? You know, a whole fleet of neurosurgeons, proctologists general practitioners, OB/Gyns, gastroenterologists; make a trip AND get a thorough (and I do mean THOROUGH) checkup. Our airports could double as doctors’ offices. It’s the old two birds-one stone scenario. Just think of the savings…and the conversations…

Cronkiting North Korea Won’t Work This Time

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

He’s dead, and we’re not buying it

You know the man on the right. He’s hard to miss with his ridiculous hair and Dr. Evil wardrobe. But do you recognize the man on the left? Most of you probably don’t. Allow me to give you a refresher.

After we won the Tet Offensive in 1968, the Hippy Press here in America sank to new depths. Walter Cronkite, “the most trusted man in America,” made a perverse choice.

He looked directly into the camera and lied through his “most trusted” teeth.

He told America that after what happened at Tet, surely the war was now lost.

TIME FOR I TOLD YOU SO, And For War…It’s Inevitable Now

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

Let’s dispense from the beginning with the idea that more “sternly-worded letters,” sanctions, condemnations, or talks (serious this time!) are the answer to North Korea’s dual declarations of war. They have NEVER worked, because when dealing with evil, you must speak to it in the language it understands. Evil only understands violence.

It gives me no pleasure to say so, but the pattern of history has borne out this truth: there will never be peace so long as only one side is willing to abide by the rules for peace.
he pictures coming from Yeonpeyong, South Korea, are chillingly reminiscent of Pearl Harbor. But did we get the “a date which will live in infamy” speech, which Pres. Roosevelt delivered only 1 day after the December 7, 1941 attack?
Nope.

Here’s what we got from the Eunuch in Chief: “…too soon to discuss ways the U.S. military might deter the reclusive communist state from another strike.”
And from his lapdog Stephen Bosworth: “I would not at all accept that our policy toward North Korea is a failure,” Bosworth said after flying to Seoul to meet South Korean officials. “They are a difficult interlocutor,” he said of the North, “but we’re not throwing our policy away.”

MADNESS
: Almost Too Late to Freely Choose Your Side

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

An illegal army. That’s what’s going on in the state named for the Father of our Nation. But what can you expect in a state where I actually coined the following bumper sticker after the 2004 Governor’s election: WASHINGTON—The Only State where winning 2 out of 3 vote counts means you lose!

I know you’ve all heard about it. Patty Murray, that liberal icon who supported Obama’s horrifying healthcare bill (in spite of how her state felt!), who demanded the people pay for her parenting class anyway in spite of no one wanting to take it, and who repeatedly elites, manipulates, and forces her will on a state that is getting fed up with her Islammunist ways, now has an army.

Not a legitimate institutionalized one, not even one made up of actual citizens of the state she wishes to represent. Nope, for she is above such things.

Pyong-Demonium: Family Feud, Nuclear Fuse, Islammunist Fools

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

It is said, and rightly so, that the true tell of what we believe is in our actions, for one can say anything. You can say you believe in God, but if your fruits are consistently wicked, that sheep’s clothing is useless. It is what you do that outs you.

In spite of North Korea signing onto the 1994 Agreed Framework, by 1996 my sources along the DMZ were making it clear to me that North Korea was waist-deep in nuclear development. How did they know? They looked to what NoKo was doing, not to what they were saying to the UN.

To those who are new to NoKo behavior, let’s look to the real tell of who they are and what they believe: they’re actions.

The Cross We Bear, The Mosque We Won’t

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

On the West Side….

It first ended in 1918 (or so we thought), then began in 1934. It was replaced with a metal one in 1984, and became a subject of controversy in 2002. It was covered with a shroud while lawyers argued its offense factor until 2010, when courts ruled it could stay and lose the veil.

The majority wept with joy, secure in the thought that this friend would remain steady whenever they looked up.

The item of all the controversy, offense, lawyers, courts, and shrouding—a simple white cross honoring American warriors of WWI—joyfully returned for another 76 years standing guard over the harsh and unforgiving world it was willing to purchase with its own eternal vigilance.

And two weeks later, in a display of spoiled, spineless, hippy fagatronics, the Politically Castrated minority took their ball and went home like the cowards they are. They decided if they couldn’t get their way through the law, they’d take it into their own impotent, pathetic, mob-clenched hands.

Islammunism: Two Fronts, One Enemy

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

“…we have seen in the past – over and over again – that evil seeks out evil, that they create secret combinations and make blood oaths against the good people of the earth. They bond together in their mutual treachery, and no malevolence is too much for them to consider. They will try to distract us from their wickedness by claiming it is all for God – as Islam does. Or it is our fault for being fat, spoiled Americans – as North Korea does daily. Or, even more vile, they will point to American sins and excess and claim that we are merely “reaping what we’ve sown.” And being kind, forgiving and self-evaluating people, we hesitate just long enough for them to strike at us. 2-front war, by Resa LaRu Kirkland, October, 2002

I wrote those words almost 8 years ago now, in a three piecer on the chilling alliance that has been clearly forming between Islam and Communism for the past 2 decades. Given what’s going on now, can we dispense with the frantic attempts to call it what it isn’t and settle on what we are dealing with here: Islammunism, the coming together of Islam and Communism?

The Cogent Response to Gays in the Military

From the Only Ones Whose Opinion Matters_-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

I was intending to write an article on this subject myself, but was blown away by a letter I received from a warrior who is overseas, doing history’s work: fighting for freedom. His response is the epitome of logical sequencing and reasoned analysis, scientific in its conclusions and mathematical in its preciseness.

In other words, indisputable in its truth, the final nail in the coffin of iron-gripped Political Castration.

There is no way I could have done better. I am printing it here unabridged, and as per his request, giving no clues to his name or service. Shame, really, that he must fear retaliation for truth. Such a response is supposed to be reserved for the lie.

Welcome to Armageddon…with our permission born of sloth.

Down to Days, The Luxury of Time is Over

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

May is an interesting month.

On May 1st we have the official day that Commie Bastards everywhere embrace, celebrating the rise of the most evil of all TOTALitarian DICtatorS: the Communist Slaughterers of the Soviet Union and various other nations it engulfed and devoured.

On May 5th, we have Cinco de Mayo, a Spanish holiday that celebrates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

The last Monday in May, this year the date will be May 31st, is Memorial Day, the day we celebrate the warriors who defeated many enemies in the past, including from the above countries.

It’s Hard To BRING Home The Bacon… With All These Pigs at the Trough

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

From 1789 to 1815 Congressmen received $6.00 daily, but only on the days they showed up. From 1815 to 1855 Congressmen received a modest salary, compared to the massive salaries of the Congressmen today. In 1855 their salaries increased to $3,000 annually. Then in 1865 they gave themselves a 66% increase to $5,000 annually. 6 years later they boosted their salaries another 50% to $7,500 per year. The American People became so outraged by the greed that congressmen were showing, that congress was forced to take a 33% pay cut, which lasted 34 years until 1907, at which time they gave themselves another 50% increase back to $7,500 annually. They took two other pay cuts, both of which were during the Great Depression, for a total of 15%. These are the only 3 times in American History that any Congressmen have ever taken salary cuts.

In 1935, Congress voted themselves a 19% increase, then they didn’t receive another pay raise until 12 years later, when they gave themselves a 25% increase in 1947. In 1955 Congress gave themselves a whopping 80% increase. In the years 1987, and 1991 Congress received 2 raises per year. 3% + 20% in 1987, and 4% and 25% in 1991. Within the last 10 years Congress has raised their salaries 8 times for a total of 26%. While the lowest paid American Workers have only received 1 raise within the last 10 years.

ARE WE UNAFRAID? Are we powerful?

-By Resa LaRu Kirkland

Evil is powerless if the good are unafraidRonald Reagan

My dear friend Audrey Russo put a note up on her FACEBOOK page that inspired me to write this piece. The following excerpt explains it:

…the Revolutionary Guards Chief, Mohammed Ali Jafari…said, “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has missiles with the range of 2,000 km (1,250 miles), and based on that all Israeli land including that regime’s nuclear facilities are in the range of our missile capabilities.”

Jafari also believes that neither the US or the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) “had the ability” to strike Iran…

…The two greatest militaries in the world did not have the ability to strike Iran? Right…

…this is a simple illustration of how…PC paralysis has become the fuel for ‘the little regime that could’ and the mushroom cloud that it will produce. — Iran: The Little Regime That Could by Audrey Russo
