LANSING, MICH – Yesterday, Rep. Gary Peters released his Washington DC legal attack dogs out to intimidate and silence Julie Boonstra, a Michigan mother battling leukemia who had the courage to speak up after the insurance plan she liked was cancelled due to the Affordable Care Act.
Instead of listening to Julie’s concerns, Peters took steps to strong-arm Michigan television stations to simply pull “Julie’s Story” from the airwaves. These are desperate political tactics from someone who is increasingly incapable of defending his support for Obamacare.
AFP-Michigan State Director Scott Hagerstrom issued the following statement:
“The fact that Representative Peters would sic his legal team on a Michigan mother battling cancer to muzzle her tells you everything you need to know about his record of putting politics over people.”
“Julie Boonstra was brave enough to tell her story about how Obamacare is making her life worse and instead of offering compassion and solutions, Rep. Peters responded with intimidation.”
“Rep. Peters is an unwavering supporter of Obamacare and now he won’t take responsibility for the devastating impact it’s having on millions of Americans just like Julie.”
“This attack on her credibility is disgusting, unwarranted, and inexcusable. Congressman Peters and his indecent campaign team should be ashamed of themselves.”

Foreshadowing Obamacare, the family of a Canadian man who died sitting in his wheelchair in the waiting room of a Winnipeg hospital for 34 hours has withdrawn from the inquest being undertaken to find out what went wrong.
Now businesses will have to go hat in hand to Obama to 
Senator Dick Durbin is at it again, lying through his teeth, this time about Obamacare. On Sunday’s Meet The Press, Illinois Democrat Durbin made the wild-eyed claim that ten million Americans found new health insurance thanks to Obamacare. He also claimed that Obamacare would lower the deficit. But even the Washington Post gave its worst rating to Durbin’s lies.
Now Obama is importing big government advocates from Europe to help him push Obamacare on Americans.
The disaster that is Obamacare rolls ever onward. This time we have U.S. Senator Rand Paul who has been trying to get his own family signed up for Obamacare only to find that the state of Kentucky automatically assigned Paul’s own son to Medicaid even though the Senator was trying to arrange for an insurance policy he intends to pay for himself.
As Obamacare continues to spiral down into an ever deeper morass, Democrats are coming to understand that the law will be an anchor around their necks in the upcoming 2014 midterm elections and so they badly want the mess fixed before it is too late. Now they are urging Obama to pick another czar to fix the healthcare law, this time calling the position a “CEO” for Obamacare.
On Monday, December 23, the White House tried to make “news” by claiming that President Obama “signed up” for Obamacre. Only, the truth is it was just a lame publicity stunt. Obama did not sing up for anything.
The CEO of Whole Foods, well known for standing against Obamacare, recently pointed out that the President’s government take over of our healthcare system will create a permanent part-time work force filled with positions that will never be able to advance to full time work. Because of that, Obamacare is hardly a very American ideal as it puts a government-enforce, concrete ceiling on top of workers who hope to better themselves.
New Jersey’s Republican Governor Chris Christie slammed Obamacare as a “train wreck” in comments made at a Jersey radio station on November 25.
Obamacare has been an absolute disaster all across the United States. Millions of Americans have lost their insurance due to the new rules that Obama put in place with his Obamacare law. But there is one success to report. In Colorado a man just learned that his dog got covered by Obamacare.
As a result of the massive failure of Obamacare, Obama’s Medicaid info chief was brought before Congress for questioning. His testimony is an infuriating example of a man who hasn’t a clue what is going despite that he is supposed to be in charge but spins lie after lie to cover up that fact, anyway.
