NBC’s Lauer Knocks Down Obama Flack Stephanie Cutter With President’s Own Words

Obama flack Stephanie Cutter appeared on NBC’s Today for what she likely assumed would be a softball interview but got a few hardballs from host Matt Lauer instead when the morning talker used President Obama’s own words to slice Cutter down to size.

Cutter came on to act the attack dog for team Obama as one more flack out there trying to tear down Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s pick for Vice President.

Like so many of her fellows, Cutter refused to engage in any actual debate preferring instead to fearmonger, name call, and essentially lie about Ryan’s past policy proposals. But this time, NBC’s Lauer wouldn’t let Cutter just blather on without being pressed on the facts.

Lauer started the segment reminding Cutter that the President himself said that Paul Ryan was “absolutely sincere about wanting to reduce the deficit.” He went on to ask Cutter if the President still felt that Ryan was an honorable, serious Republican who sincerely wanted to offer solutions to America’s problems.

Instead of responding to the question, Cutter went into her rote attack on Ryan saying he isn’t “bold” because he didn’t “buck” his own party and that Ryan wanted to hurt the middle class by not asking “anything from the very wealthy.”

Barack Obama: Hey Media, Stop Reporting What The Other Side Says!

According to The New York Times, President Obama is a “voracious consumer of news.” But he’s not at all happy with a media that has been apparently engaged this whole time in a one-sided love affair with The One. He has harsh words for the media establishment.

Times writer Amy Chozick herself seemed quite star struck by the prez giving us paragraph after paragraph filled with evidence of how impressed she is with Obama’s reading habits and media interaction. But for the President, the feeling isn’t mutual.

You see he’s mad that the press keeps giving the other side so much coverage.

While Mr. Obama frequently criticizes the heated speech of cable news, he sees what he views as deeper problems in news outlets that strive for objectivity. In private meetings with columnists, he has talked about the concept of “false balance” — that reporters should not give equal weight to both sides of an argument when one side is factually incorrect. He frequently cites the coverage of health care and the stimulus package as examples, according to aides familiar with the meetings.

See? The Me-Myself-and-I President says that the press should just stop giving that “factually incorrect” side all that darn coverage. Only he is the right one, so that is all the press needs to report. There is no “other side” to an issue. Just Obama’s.

Business Owner Wants Her Deli Removed from Obama Campaign Ad

The owner of Krause’s Deli in Cincinnati, Ohio is extremely upset with Barack Obama for showing the front of her business in one of his TV commercials. It is causing her to lose customers and she says she was lied to when the video of her shop was taken. Now she wants the video removed from Obama’s TV spot.

Debra Krause-McDonnell, owner and operator of Krause’s Deli, tells the Cincinnati Enquirer that she is most upset because she was not told that the video crew that appeared before her shop one morning earlier this year was filming for an Obama ad. Not only that but she says they lied saying they were filming for a business security gate company.

The small business owner told the media that after the ad began running in the Queen City some of her customers had told her they will no longer shop at her establishment because she has taken sides with Obama. If she had done this, though, she would likely be prepared to accept the consequences over her support for Obama. But the fact is she has not chosen sides.

White House Spokesman Disses Drudge Report

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney dismissed The Drudge Report, one of the most popular news aggregation websites on the net, as an unworthy source of news.

During the August 7 Press Briefing, Carney said “be mindful of your sources” when a reporter cited The Drudge Report as the basis for her question.

Carney didn’t just tell the reporter to “mind” her sources once, either. He did so twice.

The reporter prefaced her questions saying she saw on Drudge that President Obama himself was the source for the story that GOP candidate Mitt Romney was considering current CIA Director David Petraeus for his vice presidential pick.

After Carney warned the reporter to be mindful of sources and then replied, “I can say with absolute confidence, such an assertion has never been uttered by the president. And again be mindful of your sources.”

Who is the ‘Cancer’? I Say it’s Obama

The ad that Obama put out saying Mitt Romney killed the wife of a Kansas City steel worker is so dishonest, even the left’s favorite cable channels, CNN and MSNBC, have been excoriating Obama over it. But Obama’s tactic here is to just lie through his teeth on purpose in the hopes that some handful of voters will be stupid enough to believe him or will catch Obama’s lie-filled ad but miss the many people pointing out the lies in his ad.

Well, Crossroads America did a great job pointing out Obama’s lies here…

Crossroads also notes that team Obama keep claiming that they have nothing to do with the extremist, left-wing Super PAC that put out the ad in question. This is also clearly a lie.

In fact, the Obama campaign has much to do with Priorities USA. Obama campaign officials actually helped raise money for the ad they refuse to denounce:

  • White House senior advisor David Plouffe raised money for Priorities USA in March.
  • Obama campaign manager Jim Messina raised money for Priorities USA in February.
  • Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod raised money for Priorities USA in June.
  • Obama campaign staff may have attended other unreported fundraisers.

Devastating Youth Parody Song: ‘The Obama That I Used To Know’

You may be aware of the horrid song by Gotye called Somebody That I Used to Know. It is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. But that’s just me. Millions love the thing and it became quite a hit last year. It is so popular that many parodies of it have been posted to Youtube.

A pair of Harvard graduates got into the Gotye parody business, too, and their parody takes on Barack Obama in a most effective and devastating way. It ridicules the overly emotional high of “yes we can” and “hope and change” and reveals through the lyrics what a farce, a lie, a faux ad campaign Obama’s 2008 run for the White House really was.

The best line in this parody: “…but the change I got was that I moved in with my mother.”

If you can stomach the crappy tune that the parody folks were forced to use by choosing the Gotye song, this is a great video. Enjoy…

For His Trajectory, Obama is Right, ‘He Didn’t Build That’

Much has been made of President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comment made early in June at a campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia. Comments range from the disingenuous claim that he only meant that successful folks didn’t themselves go out and build roads and bridges to the thought that his comment revels his desires to credit the nanny state with all things good in the world. But one thing seems evident. From his perspective he’s right. Wealth and fame are easy and really don’t require much work.

An extended look at Obama’s trajectory to wealth and fame explains his attitude quite well. Upon examination, the phrase “you didn’t build that” seems quite apropos. After all, his entire life has been one handout from others after another and it doesn’t seem that he had to put much work into anything he’s ever done to become part of the one percent. All he had to do was walk around “being” Obama and it all was just handed to him by the great affirmative action administrator in the sky.

At first one might think that his earliest days would have produced a man of hard luck. His addled, useless, philandering father left him when he was young. And unfortunately for young Barry, his mother was a starry-eyed agitator without much interest in child rearing. She was one enamored of everything outside her experience, unhappy with life “here” — wherever that was at the time — and always thinking every other culture was better than the American hell she was born into. In other words, his mother was a typical liberal.

Newest Obama Ad So Outrageous Even Lapdog Media Calls it Lies

Obama’s super PAC, Priorities USA Action, put out an ad so vile, so filled with lies that even his usually lapdog media couldn’t stand by and strain credulity to say that the ad was anything other than a lie. Even The New York Times said the ad was dishonest.

The ad, titled Understands,” is so filled with lies that I won’t give Obama’s sycophants the satisfaction of posting it here. If you want to see it, go look it up. But essentially the ad claims that Governor Mitt Romney is guilty of murder by closing a steel company and canceling the workers’ health insurance that, in turn, caused one worker’s wife to die of cancer because she had lost her healthcare.

This vile claim is so absurd, so completely untrue that few Old Media outlets could see their way clear to give Obama the benefit of the doubt.

Most usually left-leaning media outlets had to admit the ad is dishonest. Huffington Post, for one, updated its story to reflect the truth. CNN said the ad was “not accurate.” Politico found itself unable to find the connection between Romney and Soptic’s wife. Even the AP said the claims in the ad are “not backed up factually.”

So what of the lies in the ad?

The Next Obama Pivot: Talking About Issues?

At a recent fundraiser in New York City, President Obama told his high-dollar donors that he wanted to enter a new phase of his campaign getting away from the negative campaigning that has thoroughly defined his reelection effort thus far. Is this a sign that all tis negative campaigning isn’t working?

At his July 30 funder in the Big Apple, Obama assured his audience that he was about to pivot to a more positive campaign.

“There is going to be, though, as the summer winds down and we get into the fall, the need for voters in these swing states to know not just what they’re voting against but also what they’re voting for,” he said. “And so we’ll be spending a lot of time talking about the specific agenda that I intend to pursue in the second term, which I think will make sure that this economy is going full guns.”

Leaving aside his use of “guns” (you know, the “violent imagery” that the Old Media is always braying about), it is interesting to note that this issues-based campaign is exactly the sort of campaign Obama claimed he would initiate back in 2007 when he was running for his first term.

Media Ignores Warren Plagiarizing, Went Nuts Over Claims of Scott Brown’s

Michael Patrick Leahy detailed yet another twist to Elizabeth “Faux-Cahontis” Warren’s tale of fake American Indian claims. Apparently in 1984 Warren supplied several “old family recipes” to the “Pow Wow Chow cookbook,” edited by her cousin. Turns out these “family recipes” where just lifted from various cookbooks and newspaper articles of the era. She appears to have plagiarized them.

Will the media note that Warren plagiarized recipes from other cookbooks, claimed they were “family recipes,” and then signed them “Elizabeth Warren – Cherokee”? Probably not, but the Old Media went ga ga when they thought her opponent, Senator Scott Walker, plagiarized something.

For Warren’s part, Leahy notes that several of her “family recipes” were copied word-for-word from a New York Times News service piece published in 1979. Boston-based talk show host Howie Carr also found that several of her recipes appear to have been plagiarized. (Here, here, and here)

Obama’s Campaign Most Cynical in Recent Memory

Obama is running probably the most cynical campaign in recent memory. At Obama’s hands, Romney is suffering the worst treatment a presidential candidate has gotten from an opponent since Gov. Al Smith was ripped to pieces by anti-Catholic operatives in 1928 giving Herbert Hoover an easy White House win. Obama and his surrogates are simply throwing one provably false claim after another at Romney in the hopes that uninformed people will not know the difference.

Take former White House spokesman Ben LaBolt, for instance. Recently he threw out the claim that Romney is the “most secretive candidate we’ve seen since Richard Nixon” (See video HERE). This claim is simply untrue. In truth, the most secretive candidate in American history is Barack Obama.

When Obama ran for the White House in 2008 much of his life was a complete unknown to us. That hasn’t changed. For one thing, we have none of his records when he was a student at Columbia. Also few people from his past have come forward with their reminiscences of him — causing doubt that even what we think we know of him is questionable. In fact, much of Obama’s life that the Old Media thinks it knows all about is simply taken verbatim from the President’s own autobiography, stories that are hard to verify. Then again, some of the stories in his book are being systematically disproven.

Sometime this week the House of Representatives will be voting on H.R. 8, the Job Protection and Recession Prevention Act of 2012. This bill is intended to stop things like Obama’s time bomb of a 4.3 trillion tax hike over 10 years, well-known as Taxmageddon.

We can do something about this in the Land of Lincoln. As the American Action Network notes, Illinois residents need to tell Illinois liberals in Congress to let small businesses “compete for the gold.”

On July 24, Vice President Joe Biden took questions from the White House press during a phone conference call, but the White House told reporters they would not be allowed to use Twitter to live-report the VP’s remarks.

Politico reported that the Obama administration banned reporters from Tweeting Biden’s comments as he made them, telling them that they’d only be allowed to report the on-the-record comments once the call was concluded.

Media Loves Romney Brit ‘Gaffes,’ Forgets All About Obama’s

All day Wednesday the Old Media establishment was going gaga over the “gaffes” that presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney supposedly committed on his overseas tour. But all the many gaffes Obama committed with our allies — especially the Brits — were conveniently absent from any of the coverage.

The list of jabs at Romney grew by the hour throughout the day. From assumptions that Romney forgot the name of Labour Party leader Ed Miliband, to his spilling of the beans about a meeting with British Intelligence (usually these meetings are kept hush-hush) to a back and forth of jabs about the Olympics opening this week in London, both the British and American press were quick to give Romney the back of a hand.

Of course, few Old Media outlets noted that Obama, too, has had his troubles, especially with the Brits.

Ever since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, left-wingers and Democrats have been braying for center right and conservative organizations, PACS, and super PACS to reveal their donors, the libs claiming that such “transparency” is good for American politics. But as far as these people are concerned, “disclosure” is only to be forced on others and the fact that one of Obama’s biggest campaign donation bundlers is the leader of a very secretive Democrat money machine proves the rule rather than the exception.

That campaign money maven is Kelly Craighead, president and managing director of Democracy Alliance, a high dollar group of Democrat donors founded in 2005 with start-up money from left-wing billionaire George Soros.

So, what does this group do? According to the Washington Free Beacon:

The Alliance serves as a clearinghouse that connects donors to endorsed organizations—such as the Center for American Progress and the pro-Obama Super PAC Priorities USA—without threat of disclosure. The Alliance is not listed in any phonebook, and does not disclose its donors or endorsed organizations.

That’s right, this group that is made up of left-wingers that scold the right for a lack of transparency won’t reveal its own donors. So much for veracity.

Obama Conference Call Ignoring Administration’s Syria Stagnation

President Obama’s reelection team held a conference call recently. The call was meant as an attack on Mitt Romney’s trip abroad, a trip meant to burnish his foreign policy creds. But one thing that team Obama seemed to want to ignore was Obama’s own foreign policy failures in Syria. And so the civil war in that far away lands was practically ignored by Obama’s advisers.

In fact, Obama’s entire policy on Syria seems to have at the very least become stalled. It is likely he’s putting off any further decisions until after the election in order to appease his anti-war left wing supporters. But whatever the case, he is failing to lead in Syria.

There may soon come a very dangerous tipping point in Syria, too.

This week it was reported by some sources that Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian forces have chemical weapons and may be prepared to use them against rebels. Obama has done little of note about this threat.

Sadly, the rebels have been pleading for better weapons from the U.S. but despite Obama’s pledge of his support for them, he has ignored their pleas.

MoveOn.org’s Stealth Fund Raising off Colorado Theater Murders

Not even a day had passed before extremist, left-wing Internet activists MoveOn.org began to try and raise funds off the tragic crime.

In an early afternoon posting to its SignOn.org website, a site where like-minded activists can join MoveOn’s campaigns and sign Internet petitions, MoveOn urged supporters to “stand with the Aurora, Colorado shooting victims and their families.”

The site features a petition that MoveOn activists can sign. Names and emails are required which in turn go into the MoveOn database so that fundraising emails can then be sent to the mourners of the Colorado victims.

Once again, MoveOn sees a crime as a way to raise money for its activism. Pretty cold blooded, really.

If you are paying any attention at all to politics, you can’t have missed Obama’s claim that no one builds their own businesses and that success only comes through the benevolence of our lord and Master, The One, Barack “Obammessiah” Obama and his big brother, nanny state, government.

So, I thought I’d grab some of the funnier images I saw lambasting the nanny in chief for his hate for American entrepreneurship.

But first, here is what he said earlier this week:

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

Obama is the worst, most anti-business President we ever had.

If You Watch Fox News, Obama Says You’re ‘Stubborn’

More from President Obama, the most negative campaigner in recent presidential campaign history. This time Obama is name calling Fox News fans, saying they are “stubborn” for having the temerity to frequent the most watched cable news station on the air.

At a campaign stop in Virginia on July 6, Obama thought it would be funny to take a shot at Fox News.

So, just in case some of your friends or neighbors, you know, uncle Jim who’s a little stubborn and been watching Fox News. Well, he thinks that somehow I raised taxes, let’s just be clear, we’ve lowered taxes for middle class families since I came into office.

The President has been touring the country claiming that the end of the Bush tax cuts will cause the government to “spend nearly a $1 trillion more” in tax cuts for the “wealthiest 2 percent of Americans.” Even factcheck.org says that this is a gross exaggeration.

Terror Trials: Delaying American Justice to Observe Ramadan

A military judge has just put off American justice in a terror trial so that the accused can observe Ramadan. So our culture, our system of justice is now to take a back seat to Islam. This is how our civilization ends and how we capitulate to radical Islamism without our firing a shot, folks.

As the AP reports, “A U.S. military judge agreed Monday to postpone the next court hearings at the Guantanamo Bay prison for five men charged in the Sept. 11 attacks to avoid a conflict with the Muslim holy period of Ramadan.”

Well, isn’t that nice of him? Those that perverted their own religion to launch an attack that killed thousands of Americans will be allowed to take a holiday from their prosecution!

Obama Just Hates Capitalism. Period.

Many are saying that President Obama just doesn’t understand capitalism, that his big government ideas are born of a misunderstanding of what makes the United States of America the great nation it has become. Many think that he just doesn’t grasp our American culture, our philosophy, and our founder’s vision. With his comments made at a campaign stop in Roanoke, Virginia on July 13, one can easily think that might be the case.

Here is what he said about the business sector:

Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

So, Mr. President, no one makes his own business? Someone else handed it to him? And the wellspring of all business is government spending?

As they used to say on Saturday Night Live back in the day, “Barack you ignorant slut.”

Many are saying that this, along with a plethora of other off handed comments he’s made over the years proves he doesn’t understand the American economy. Other comments such as his 2008 claim that he wants to “redistribute” everyone’s wealth, his thought that he wanted to “necessarily bankrupt” the coal industry in order to implement jobs-killing faux enviro-nut rules, his crony loans to multiple failed Solyndra-like “green” energy companies, and his sweetheart deals with other friends, campaign donors, and members of his administration — all with OUR tax money — all this shows he is not a capitalist, but a quasi-fascist that thinks the State should own and control the business sector.

Obama’s Crony Capitalism Hurts the Middle Class

Former GOP head Ed Gillespie is now one of Romney’s senior advisers. This weekend he was on CNN’s State of the Union show and he had something exactly right to say about Obgama’s crony capitalist economy and how it is hurting the middle class.

What they’re seeing is if you’re a political donor to Barack Obama, you’re going to do fine because you’re going to get a payoff. If you’re a middle class worker, you’re in jeopardy, you’re facing a layoff. That’s the kind of economy we’re seeing with President Obama. His buddies do well, political supporters do well, they get green jobs, money, and they get stimulus dollars. If you’re a middle class worker, you’re struggling right now and Mitt Romney can make things better for you and he has a plan to do and that’s what we’re talking about while President Obama is trying to talk about everything but.

Exactly right, Ed!

Worse, as we see company after company that Obama floated with the people’s tax dollars going down the tubes and folding while the big money Obama donors that ran those companies into the ground get away with pockets full of millions of our tax money so generously donated to them by the President, the rest of us are losing jobs, losing pensions, and losing our homes.

Barack Obama’s so-called stimulus did not help this country at all. The only thing that wasted money did was go to states to pay unions.

Barack Obama couldn’t be destroying this country better if he’d have planned it.
