McCain Endorsing Journalists Thrown off Obama’s Campaign Plane!

-By Warner Todd Huston

ALERT! Senator Obama has thrown off his campaign plane the members of the press representing the New York Post, Washington Times and Dallas Morning News — papers that endorsed John McCain for president. According to an exclusive from Drudge this happened yesterday night, Oct. 30.

As Drudge has it, some are saying that the Obama campaign is trying to “make room” for network bigwigs and a documentary crew attempting to cover Obama’s last remaining days on the campaign trail.

Now, let me recap a paragraph from Obama’s plea to the nutroots to play nice:

But to the degree that we brook no dissent within the Democratic Party, and demand fealty to the one, “true” progressive vision for the country, we risk the very thoughtfulness and openness to new ideas that are required to move this country forward.

But, is throwing off his plane journalists that disagree with him an example of Barack “reaching across the aisle”? Is this his idea of a “new” politics, one of “bipartisan” principles? Dissent from his positions and be banished???

I guess Obama’s intention to play nice and doing away with “brooking no dissent” is suddenly not so important when one wants to win the White House. Let’s “get in their face,” instead, eh Senator Obama?

Chgo Sun-Times Greeley: Racism Will Make Obama Lose

-By Warner Todd Huston

In the Chicago Sun-Times on October 29, Andrew Greeley said that Barack Obama simply cannot beat racism to become president of the United States. He’s consumed by all the talk of racism during this campaign and he sees it everywhere he turns. Of course, Greeley is right. There is a lot of talk of racism. But he isn’t right about where it’s coming from. You see, Greeley is claiming that racism is the sole reason that anyone wouldn’t support Obama and he worries that racist talk is coming in torrents from Obama’s opponents. The truth is, though, that the only people talking about racism is Obama and his most earnest supporters. People like Greeley.

Greeley and Obama’s other supporters claim that anyone that opposes Obama is a racist. But the reality is that Obama’s opponents are not talking much of or worried about the fact that Barack Obama is a black man. Obama’s supporters, however, are acting just like the worst example of a McCarthyite in the respect that they see “racists” under their bed at night, around every corner, and in every dark closet. Greeley and his ilk see racists lurking everywhere… whether they exist or not.

In fact, in his fevered imagination, Greeley thinks that racists fill both parties and that they had marked Obama for destruction at the very outset saying that, “his rivals perceived that they had to destroy him.” He marks the early battleground as the “haters on the Internet” and then claims that the Democrat Party itself took up the anti-Obama bigotry.

Calif. Teachers Outraged Over Dues Going to Gay Marriage Cause

-By Warner Todd Huston

The Pacific Justice Institute reported that teachers in California are outraged that over one million dollars of their dues money has been spent by union leaders to promote gay marriage and to fight Proposition 8, a proposal that would restore the traditional definition of marriage in Calif.

Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, recently claimed that if gay marriage becomes recognized in California, school kids will be confronted with increased pressure to accept gay marriage as normal behavior and will be propagandized in school.

“If CTA has its way, we can expect to see more first-graders taking field trips to lesbian weddings, more elementary-age students subjected to transgender teachers and events like ‘Coming Out Week,’ and more students taught that gay marriage is normal. We do not believe those values represent most Californians, or even most teachers. There is a way teachers can say ‘Enough’ to CTA’s radical agenda. Under federal and state law, teachers and all other unionized employees whose religious values are not honored by their unions have the right to disassociate and divert the full amount of their union dues to charity.”

As I’ve said before, donations to extremist causes like this by unions is further proof that the political agenda of union leaders has strayed far from their proper venue of their worker’s rights and needs. The issue of gay marriage is none of a union’s business, yet here is the CTA donating over a million dollars of its members’ dues to a cause that is completely outside its purview.

Unions are no longer interested in the workers and are only interested in gaining political power to wield without benefiting members.

Let’s Have More Negative, Nasty Campaign Ads!

-By Don Boys, Ph.D.

We are hearing much about the “negative” campaign ads and how deleterious they are to American citizens. I don’t think so. As long as they are truthful, I want to know all I can discover about each candidate. If he is a bum, drunk, philanderer, thief, child molester, pervert, abortionist, I want to know. If he cheated on his wife, I have a right to know that because if a man won’t keep his marriage vows how can I trust him when he vows to respect and enforce the Constitution?

A case in point is the Willie Horton ad of 1988 that Democrats always pull out each campaign cycle. Democrats know that Americans have not been taught to think but to react emotionally. Willie was a rapist, thief, and killer who was sentenced to life in prison without parole. However, he was released from prison on a weekend furrow and never came back! Duh! Did anyone expect him to with a lifetime in prison ahead of him? During his “furlough,” he twice raped a local woman after pistol-whipping, knifing, binding, and gagging her fiancé. Real nice guy.

Since he was black, the press and liberal hypocrites were aghast that the Republicans used the information against Massachusetts Governor Dukakis who was responsible for his release. Republicans should not be defensive about that ad. Every word was truthful, but ignorant Americans did not ask, “Is this ad truthful?” Like lemmings, they followed the media and Democrats and clucked their tongues and sanctimoniously agreed that negative ads are disreputable, despicable, and dangerous to freedom. No, it is the non-thinkers who are dangerous to freedom.

Christians, this election is not just about the economy

-By Marie Jon’

Christians founded this nation, and they will either save it or let fall into the hands of a Socialist-Marxist and his minions. By refusing to vote for Sen. John McCain, Christians will bear a huge portion of responsibility for abandoning their nation in its time of greatest need.

Only a massive turnout of every devout believer in Christ can turn this election around. We most certainly have the numbers to do the job. God fearing Christians who are willing to vote their faith can overturn the attempted theft of this election by the enemy.

The Democrats have let it be known that if and when they gain control of all three branches of government, they will do so for generations to come, by force if necessary.

Feds: Brunner Doesn’t Have to Reveal Voter Mismatches

-By Warner Todd Huston

The U.S. Justice Dept. will probably not intervene before election day in Ohio to force Sec. of State Jennifer Brunner to verify new voter registrations, her office announced on Thursday.

The dispute between the GOP with Rep. John Boehner in the lead and Brunner, a Democrat, concerns the fate of thousands of new voter registrations that are incomplete or have conflicting information on them.

Brunner maintains that there isn’t time to verify the legality of the registrations and also claims that her computer database is not capable to achieve the task of weeding out these “mismatches.” For his part, Rep. Boehner is concerned that vote fraud is endemic among these faulty registration cards.

Brunner claims that there will be plenty of time after the election to fix the computer databases… of course, by then the vote fraud will have had plenty of time to influence the election in favor of Barack Obama.

“I’m disappointed by the Justice Department’s refusal to stop Secretary Brunner’s calculated effort to undermine the integrity of Ohio’s election,” Boehner said.

Prosecutor: If You Don’t Live in Ohio, DON’T Vote Here

-By Warner Todd Huston

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien warned the various political campaigns that have help hired from outside the state of Ohio that they’d better not vote in Ohio unless they’ve elected to live in Ohio permanently.

O’Brien has spoken to both Republican and Democrat campaigns as well as several get-out-the-vote groups working in Ohio.

“One thing that is crystal-clear is the law — if you are a temporary resident or a visitor, you are not entitled to register to vote and you’re not entitled to vote,” O’Brien, a Republican, told The Dispatch yesterday.

As the Columbus Dispatch notes, this comes on the heels of quite a few vote fraud news in the Buckeye State.

Rep. Boehner Demands Voting Laws be Followed in Ohio

-By Warner Todd Huston

The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives is also a Representative from Ohio’s 8th District. Rep. John Boehner is just as incensed as any true American should be about the obvious and rampant fraud in Ohio fostered… or at least being ignored… by the Democrat Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner.

Boehner has been at the forefront in spotlighting this fraud and has been insistent that something be done about it. His office has issued this latest statement in pursuit of free, fair and legal elections.

Boston Herald’s Master Work of Subtle McCain Slams, Obama Praises

-By Warner Todd Huston

If you want to see an example of the media employing a subtle undercurrent of disdain for Republicans and praise for Democrats, you can’t get any better example than the masterful effort at left leaning propaganda that the Boston Herald unleashed on October 26. Even the headline is artful for the negative image in which it casts McCain’s actions while simultaneously presenting Obama as the innocent victim. The subtlety is amazing and really must be seen to be believed.

With the very headline we see that nasty McCain and the obviously innocent Obama as the Herald sternly informs us that, “John McCain keeps swinging socialist hammer at Barack Obama.” That mean, “hammering” McCain “swinging” that obviously absurd claim that the Marxist is a socialist! Imagine. The negative image of McCain being an aggressor is painfully obvious.

The first paragraph continues the negative framing of McCain and the portrayal of Obama, the “light worker,” as the aggrieved victim.

When New Media Goes Bad

-By Warner Todd Huston

The world of the New Media can be a treacherous land to navigate. People would be excused to wonder what it’s all about and to approach it in confusion. You have the funny, the profane, the boring, the absurd. You have many political sites like DailyKos and DemmocraticUnderground that aren’t at all interested in truth or balance. But, with most of those types of sites you know right off that they aren’t to be taken seriously. Yet still, they are all as easily found as the news sites like ABC, CNN, Fox News or The New York Times.

It’s one thing to know when a site is not to be taken seriously. DailyKos and the like are obvious for the over-the-top silliness. One knows at the outset that some sites are not serious news outlets. But, it’s the ones that pretend at seriousness of which one must be wary.

One such site is AmericanChronicle.com. The Amer. Chronicle site seeks to be a place of reasoned debate, serious opinions, a place where readers can trust the “news” presented. The folks there tout their work as “an online magazine for national, international, state, local, entertainment, sports, and government news.” So, they mean to be taken seriously.

Denver Chamber of Commerce Sells Its Soul to the Unions

-By Warner Todd Huston

As we’ve discussed before, Colorado has several Amendments on its ballot this election season. One of them is Amendment 54. (See full text in PDF format here)

Basically, Amendment 54 is a corruption fighter. It prohibits any company that holds a no-bid government contract from donating to political campaigns. This law would stop politicians from taking kick-backs from companies that receive contracts from the state.

Naturally, the unions in Colorado oppose this Amendment. They are not happy to be told they aren’t allowed to fatten the larder of the politicians with whom they negotiate. It makes it easier for unions to get politicians to do what they want them to do when those politicians have a pocketful of union cash at hand. (this law does not, by the way, stop individual union members from donating to the political candidate of their choice.)

Here is where the Denver Chamber of Commerce comes in. As reported earlier this month, unions made a few backroom deals with ostensibly pro-business groups in order for the union promise of pulling off the ballot Amendments 53,55,56 and 57, all of which were anti-business measures. That being the case, the Denver Chamber has pledged to help the unions defeat Amendment 54.

Grandmother With Alzheimer’s Suddenly Registers to Vote in Ohio

-By Warner Todd Huston

Vote fraud in Ohio is running rampant. Now it appears that folks living in nursing homes are being registered as voters no matter in what medical state they exist. Chrystal Brown, granddaughter of an Alzheimer’s afflicted, 95-year-old woman, found out that her grandmother had registered to vote despite that she has never registered to vote since entering the nursing home in 2001.

Worse, records show she actually cast a ballot.

“I’m hot. I’m livid,” said granddaughter Chrystal Brown. “A month ago, she couldn’t tell you her name she was so bad, and, depending on what time of day it is, her name is the only thing she can tell you.”

Yet, here this poor woman is, registered to vote, with ballot cast, regardless of her mental state.

Twenty Questions For Senator Barack Obama the Media May Have Missed

1. What were you thinking as you sat through 20 years of Rev. Wright’s hate speech?

2. Is it plausible, as you claim, that you never heard him spew any hate speech?

3. What did you see in Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers?

4. Why did he help you launch your political career?

5. Why won’t you reveal a certified copy of your original birth certificate?

Article 2, Section 1: Just Words

-By Nancy Salvato

In a 1995 Press Release is a statement by the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Deval Patrick (yes, that Deval Patrick -“just words”), on the Appellate Court Ruling upholding the Constitutionality of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (otherwise known as “Motor-Voter” Law), a bill signed into law by then President Clinton.

“Today’s favorable decision by the Court of Appeals follows similar victories in federal district courts in California and Pennsylvania. The decision sends a clear message that Congress was well within its authority to pass a law making it easier for all Americans to register to vote. Today’s decision also reaffirms the lower court’s opinion that the state had no legal basis for failing to comply with such a common sense law.

Motor-voter is government made easy — one stop shopping. Already the law is producing tremendous results across the country. Millions of Americans already are benefiting from this law — now millions of citizens of Illinois can, as well.” [1]

Tennessee may have its own version of ACORN

Radio host Phil Valentine finds voter fraud in Nashville, TN and officials couldn’t care less!

Tennessee may have its own version of ACORN

While everyone focuses on voter registration fraud in places like Ohio by the group ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, we could have a well-organized voter fraud ring operating in Nashville, right under the nose of the state election commission.

Friday, a week ago, I got a tip on my radio show that vanloads of non-citizens were showing up at an early voting poll and voting. Lynn Greer, a Davidson County Election Commission member confirmed the report. “What I’ve heard is they’re bringing in a group of Spanish-speaking people, many of whom do not have a voter registration card and cannot speak English,” Greer told me. Before you jump to the conclusion that I’m stereotyping, it’s important to point out that these particular people didn’t just speak broken English, they reportedly spoke no English, whatsoever. Why is that such an important distinction? Because federal law requires one to write, speak and understand English in order to become a citizen. Naturally, you’re supposed to be a citizen to vote. Supposed to be.

More ‘Voters’ Than Actual Adult Residents in Missouri?

-By Warner Todd Huston

The AP is reporting that more than a dozen Missouri counties have found that they suddenly have more registered voters than eligible adult citizens this year. And the worst one? Well, no surprise it is Democrat controlled St. Louis County.

A statistical analysis by The Associated Press compared county voter rolls with U.S. Census Bureau estimates for the number of adults age 18 and older in each county. Fourteen of the state’s 114 counties had more registered voters than voting-age adults. Several others had registration rolls almost equal to their adult populations.

The AP finds that in “St. Louis County there are 796,979 registered voters, of which 715,195 are considered active voters and the rest inactive. The estimated voting-age population is 762,657.”

New York Dem Fires Staffer For Ohio Vote Fraud Case

-By Warner Todd Huston

Amy Little has been registered as a Democrat and as a resident of New York State since 1991. Yet, for some reason, she suddenly turned up registered in Ohio to vote in the 2008 election.

Of course, she still doesn’t live in Ohio, yet she registered as “living” in a building in Columbus, Ohio that houses the headquarters of the leftist organization Vote Today Ohio.

Unfortunately for Miss Little, she is a staffer for Congressman John Hall (D-Dover Plains, NY) and her little attempt at Ohio vote fraud has gotten her fired from that position.

Dem Candidate Refuses to Remove Name of Fallen Soldier from Campaign Website

-By Warner Todd Huston

A Democrat candidate for the Senate in Oklahoma has thus far refused to remove from his campaign website the name of a fallen U.S. soldier despite the fact that the soldier’s Mother and family have repeatedly asked that Rice remove their son’s name.

Candidate Andrew Rice hosts on his site advertising for his campaign a page that lists a number of soldiers from Oklahoma that have died in service to our country. On that page appears the name of Spec. Micheal E. Phillips of Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Jenn Sierra of Green Country Values alerted me to the fact that Specialist Phillips’ family has repeatedly asked Democrat candidate Rice to remove their son’s name from his site, but so far he refuses to do so.

What It Will Take to Build a Rightroots Movement

-By Warner Todd Huston & Patrick Ruffini

I highly endorse what is presented here from Patrick Ruffini in regards to the Rightroots movement on-line. We have failed to rival the nutroots in effectiveness, but I think a lot of it is inherent in our own mental makeup. Conservatives do not do “join” well. It’s just a fact.

However, we must intellectually over come that reticence to “join” if we expect our cause to win and flourish.

But, I have to say we are all, even this new Rightroots effort, forgetting the single reason why we are not as successful as the nutrooters. There is ONE reason we cannot get traction. It isn’t lack of money, it isn’t lack of drive, focus or philosophy.

One reason we are failing. There is just one.

Sprinkle Down Economics

-By Dan Scott

Now with gasoline around $2.50 a gallon in much of the country the clock has been turned back to 2005 as far as transportation cost is concerned. However, the price of gasoline in any area is very dependent on the taxing policies of the various states. We have confusion once again with the Democrats regarding the high price of gasoline and oil versus the credit market meltdown. The Democrat’s talking points are the greedy oil speculators caused the run up of oil prices and the greedy bankers made loans to people who couldn’t afford them. As usual, Democrats are busy pointing the finger at everyone else but themselves because they aren’t willing to be a part of the solution. You can’t be part of the solution if you aren’t willing to take responsibility for your part in what went wrong, thus the Democrats have nothing in their grab bag of give-aways that will address any of the economic issues. Their only solution is to tread water until someone else comes along to save them, hence the banking, auto industry and insurance company credit bailouts. Treading water is a very short term solution that only delays the inevitable if nothing else changes.

Forget the Internet, Let the ‘Established’ Media Tell You About it

-By Warner Todd Huston

John Hollenhorst, reporter for KSL TV in Salt Lake City, Utah, wants you to forget about all those gosh darn Internet rumors. In fact, forget the Internet altogether and just rely on the “established news organizations” to tell you what is what. After all, it’s just too darn hard for the common folks to figure it all out. Alarmingly the “21st Century is putting a higher responsibility on voters to seek out the truth and ignore the ridiculous.” Imagine? Requiring citizens to go to all the trouble of actually seeking out the truth and learning about what a candidate really stands for? What a bother.

But, reporter Hollenhorst and his “expert” have the solution: Don’t bother and just make the Old Media your source for news. After all, the Old Media is the only one to be believed because they’ve got “the greatest credibility.” Right Dan Rather?

Hollenhorst’s report is a cornucopia of condescension. It appears to inform us that American citizens are just to stupid to separate the wheat from the chaff and to determine what are mere unsubstantiated rumors about Obama and McCain and what is real and to be trusted.

Sen. Obama, Stand and Deliver!

-By Frank Salvato

The recent ruling by the Hon. R. Barclay Surrick dismissing the lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s citizenship, brought by former Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Democratic county chair Phillip Berg, presents the genesis of a Constitutional Crisis. While Barack Obama’s refusal to satisfy the citizens’ request to validate his citizenship illustrates his unbridled arrogance and that of his campaign and supporters, it also exposes the fact that politics, at the hands of political opportunists and ideologues, has usurped the legitimate execution of the supreme law of the land; the United States Constitution.

Make no mistake. I do not support Barack Obama in his quest for the presidency. I find his political ideology to embrace a one-world ideology borrowing heavily from the Marxist-Leninist dogma. But, if in fact he is a legal and naturally born citizen of the United States of America, if he thoroughly satisfies the requirements as set forth in Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution, then I will defend his right to be placed on ballots across our nation. My concern is not partisan, it is constitutional.

Wave of First Time Voters Just a Trickle?

-By Warner Todd Huston

When George McGovern ran for president against Richard Nixon in 1972 the conventional wisdom before the polls opened was that the vaunted first-time voters among the youth of America were going to propel McGovern to victory. It was the first time that those under 21-years-old could vote and many imagined that young people in amazing numbers would turn out for the Democrats. The conventional wisdom in 1972, however, was wrong. The youth vote did not propel McGovern into the White House. Despite the probably apocryphal claim by Pauline Kael that she never met anyone who voted for Nixon, he won in a landslide.

Today we are once again faced with the conventional wisdom that the kiddies are going to come out in droves to vote for The One and propel Barack Obama and his message of hope-n-change into the Oval Office. But, are they? If they are, shouldn’t we be seeing this gigantic youth vote reflected in the polls? Certainly one would think so, but Gallup, for one, has found that young voters are not registering in droves and the numbers of first-time voters does not appear any larger than they were in the 2004 general election.

These surveys seem to argue against a great wave of young and first-time voters being driven to the polls by love for Europe’s favorite candidate.

In Ohio, Now A Park Bench Qualifies as an Address for Voting

-By Warner Todd Huston

We can mark U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus as a proponent of vote fraud in Ohio thanks to his latest ruling to allow incorrectly completed provisional ballots to be counted anyway… oh, and a park bench now qualifies as an address for voter registration.

A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren’t buildings as their addresses.

Sargus, a heavy contributor to the Democratic Party and a Clinton appointee was also apparently the first Federal judge in history to ever favor the Socialist Party USA in a ballot access case.

So, our electoral system is in the hands of a Democrat hack with sympathies for the Socialist Party? No wonder he likes Obama!

U. of OK Decertifies Teacher Over His Global Warming Skepticism?

-By Warner Todd Huston

A popular professor of environmental geology seems to be under attack by the University of Oklahoma because of his skepticism over global warming this month.

In October Dr. David Deming, a teacher for the U of OK for over a decade, was informed that his “general education” certification was being revoked for his class. This will result in many students passing over his class when they choose their classes in the future.

Deming says that he has a consistent record of outstanding student evaluations and has no idea why the university has decided to punish him like this unless it is because of his stance on global warming.

Democrats Give out Soc. Sec. #’s of Opponent and Wife

-By Warner Todd Huston

Democrats in Boise, Idaho are pretending they’ve done nothing wrong, as Democrats are wont, wide-eyed in amazement that anyone would question their morality after they produced a political mailer that gave out the Social Security numbers of a political opponent in a 1st Congressional District race there.

The Republican, Bill Sali and his wife Terry, found their SS# printed on a mailer put out by the Idaho Democratic Party that raises concerns about past due taxes that the Sali family had earlier in their marriage. The mailer contained copies of records of the Sali’s past tax problems in an effort to call into question his fiscal responsibility.

For his part, Jim Hansen, executive director of the Idaho Democratic Party, protests innocence pointing out that the records are publicly available. And then, to try and misdirect from the issue, Hansen says that if Sali doesn’t want his SS# broadcast to everyone he should have paid his taxes. “If he was going to be upset,” Hansen said “he probably should have paid off his bills and his taxes.”

Indiana Sec of State Links ACORN to Vote Fraud

-By Warner Todd Huston

Secretary of State Todd Rokita has revealed that a preliminary investigation by his office has found that the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is guilty of “multiple criminal violations, including possible state and federal racketeering laws,” by their fraudulent voter registration drive in Lake Country, Indiana.

Sec. Rokita has asked requested state authorities prosecute ACORN for their illegal actions in a letter sent to Lake County Prosecutor Bernard A. Carter, U.S. Attorney David Capp and Michael Welch, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Indianapolis office.
