As the State of Florida continues to be one of the nation’s key bellwether states it has also become a major swing state with Democrats seeming to have increased their presence in a state that has until recently seemed a bit more solidly red. This means that by 2020, Florida could become one of the most important states in the county.
Florida is still a growing state and by the coming 2020 census there is little doubt it will be found to have grown even more. With this growth the state will likely increase its current 29 votes in the Electoral College — the third most votes in the country — making the Sunshine State one of the most influential states in the Union.
Some feel this makes Florida a lock for the Republicans. But we must not forget that Donald Trump only took Florida away from Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton by a scant margin of one percent. So, all eyes will be on this important state in the coming election cycles. Truly what happens in Florida has national implications.
The state boasts several high profile Republicans, of course. Former Gov. and presidential candidate Jeb Bush hails from Florida, as does Marco Rubio who has become nearly household name. But the state is also home to Rep. Ron DeSantis, a congressman and legislative leader that does much of the heavy lifting in Congress for the state.
A key battle for the next few years will be the fight to reign in Obamacare and to fix America’s health care system and Rep. DeSantis has a far better record on the issue than most in Washington. Health care is critical to both Florida and the nation economically, demographically and politically and DeSantis has been a leading voice on the issue.

The Washington Post’s Daniel W. Drezner gave us all a perfect example of a typical left-wing media trick meant to slam conservatives with outright lies only to “apologize” later when no one will pay attention.
On nearly a daily basis the left-wing media breaks into its charge that conservatives are Jew-hating Nazis and today there was a perfect example of how they do it.
Last week a newspaper in North Carolina gave its readers a perfect example of underhanded, media bias in its reporting about a woman who was arrested for voter fraud. The bias was revealed in two parts of the story. First the suspect’s party was never once mentioned — naturally she was a Democrat. And even more absurd, the story of a Democrat arrested for vote fraud was illustrated with a giant Trump-Pence campaign sign as if the criminal was a Republican Trump supporter.
Even as the Democrats are desperately trying to gin up stories about ties between Donald Trump and the Russians, it is fitting that we get a reminder about real presidential scandals with the sudden admission from what is essentially still Obama’s Internal Revenue Service that they suddenly “found” over 6,000 documents in its corruption case from 2013. Worse, it appears the IRS did not include these 6,000 documents in its submission to Congress in 2015.
Since before Donald Trump won last year’s presidential election, Democrats have been desperately trying to fool the American people into thinking that Trump somehow worked hand-in-hand with the Russians to steal away the White House from Hillary Clinton. But thus far, after months of pseudo investigations, not a scintilla of proof has been revealed. And this weekend, Democrat Adam Schiff once again showed that Democrats have nothing but lies and innuendo against Trump.
Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D, Clintoista) just vetoed a bill that would have allowed victims of domestic violence and abuse carry a concealed firearm without first going through the normal, time consuming permit process, especially if they have already filed for a protective order. And you thought Democrats for women’s safety, didn’t you?
As the Texas legislature debates its own version of North Carolina’s bill to protect vulnerable women and children in public restrooms, some Lone Star lawmakers have fallen for a false report issued by the president of the Texas Association of Business (TAB) who has floated debunked claims predicting dire economic repercussions if the state passes the bill into law.
By all accounts Judge Neil Gorsuch is one of the most qualified Supreme Court nominees for sometime, but despite the fact that he was once confirmed to the bench with glowing accolades even from Democrats, the left-wing party’s “leadership” is preparing to go to war to stop Trump’s first Supreme Court pick from taking his place on the high court. It all just goes to show that Democrats don’t care about right and wrong, don’t care about what is good for the country, and don’t care about custom, history, or propriety. They only care about crass political partisanship.
At least since the middle of the last century after it had aligned itself with the Democrat Party, the media establishment has been an automatic enemy to any Republican in the White House. But no president has been the victim of media bias and hostility as quickly and completely as Donald J. Trump. Whereas some presidents may have only engendered from the media a few major lies only two months into his term, the lies against Trump have already reached into the dozens. Here are the top lies the media has thus far used to try and destroy Donald Trump.
Two dangerous and violent Obama “DREAMERs,” one illegals from Guatemala and the other El Salvador, were arrested for brutally raping a 14-year-old girl right in a Maryland high school bathroom last week. The two males are both nearly past high school age but were put into the 9th grade with 14 and 15 year old American children even as they should never have been allowed into government funded schools at all.
On Wednesday an extremist, left-wing “judge” in Hawaii — who turns out to be Obama’s law school classmate — proved that the law doesn’t mean anything at all to a liberal by issuing an illicit order to halt President Trump’s latest travel order only hours before it was to take effect.
In yet another attempt to turn Ferguson thug Michael Brown into a victim, a new “documentary” filmmaker released a segment of film showing Brown inside the market he was thought to have robbed just before he was shot and killed by a local policeman back in 2014. The filmmaker claimed that is “proved” Brown did not rob the store. But in only a day the whole claim unsurprisingly fell apart.
As former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow makes his astonishing debut as a Major League Baseball player with the opening of the New York Mets’ spring training at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie, Florida, ESPN immediately attacked him as a “failure” and a “pretend baseball player” before he made his first play.
There would have been a day when a story saying that teachers were about to be excused from requirements that they be able to read just to avoid charges of racism would have been an entry in an issue of the National Lampoon or even on TheOnion.com. But today, in this day of truly insane liberalism, the idea that liberals don’t care if teachers can read just to avoid charges of racism in hiring is… well, sadly, it’s not even a little surprising.
One of Trump’s biggest problems is the thousands of Obama toadies still infesting the federal government both in Washington and in government offices elsewhere. Because of this, the real era of Trump can’t take effect. Until these nests of insurrection are cleaned out, Trump won’t be able to fully implement his agenda. What I am saying is that if you work for the federal government, you need to be fired.
Thursday’s witch hunt against Trump’s U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions — once again over the media’s new favorite attack of pushing fake “Russia ties” — really shows just how far the media is willing to go to torpedo Donald Trump and to assist the weakling Democrat Party retake power in Washington D.C.
Two separate incidents concerning memorial street signs in Chicago encapsulates perfectly how warped, truly immoral, and evil the Democrat Party in the U.S.A. has become.
A photo has been making the rounds of gay-left-twitter this week that is being praised as perfectly encapsulating “what liberals want” and I agree 100% with that claim, though it doesn’t prove the same point the liberals think it proves.
Donald J. Trump was swept into office on several key issues, one of which was to put a merciful end to the odious Obamacare. A liberal professor from New York University has about had it with the hate-filled left in America today. Liberals have become so unhinged, the prof says, that they are now proving their critics right and as far as he is concerned, he is done with them all.
The scandal over a group of computer technicians hired by a long list of Congressional Democrats — including the former head of the Democrat National Committee — is growing deeper by the week. The latest is that the three Pakistani immigrants hired to maintain the Congressmen’s computers were the recipients of a mysterious $100,000 pay off from an Iraqi politician. And through it all the Old Media complex is ignoring the whole story.
Last week President Donald J. Trump held a press conference that sent the media into paroxysms of rage as he stood before them again calling them out for their lies and their “very fake news.” For days afterward they spilled tons of ink and spent miles of bandwidth calling him “un-American” for attacking them. But Trump is right. The truth is the media is just furious at being called on their lies.
President Donald Trump is once again taking his case right to the people of the United States and once again he got the unwitting aide of the press corps to help him do it. And even as the regular voters are cheering, the press is booing the whole thing.
Texas Senator and GOP presidential primary runner up, Ted Cruz, wants to revoke the citizenship of any American who tries to join ISIS or otherwise turns to Muslim terrorism. One has to wonder why, exactly, it is that we haven’t already made this idea into law, but apparently we haven’t.
