WATCH: Trump Reads FDR’s Historic D-Day Prayer–Reveals How Far Democrats Have Fallen

In Britain, President Donald Trump read aloud the prayer President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued during the D-Day campaign in 1944. It is a prayer that really proves just how the far the Democrat Party has fallen from true Americanism because no Democrat would ever utter such words today.

Trump was taking part in the D-Day commemoration in Portsmouth, U.K., on Tuesday and took time to read aloud the D-Day prayer that America’s WWII-time president issued to petition God to watch over our troops as they invaded the European mainland to defeat the Nazis.

But the text of the prayer is stark when compared to how the Democrat Party acts today.

Remember, this prayer was written for and read by F.D.R., one of the Democrat Party’s biggest heroes.

Here is now F.D.R. started his prayer: “Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity.”

In its very first line the prayer proves to be as far away from today’s Democrat ethos as you can imagine. It seeks God’s blessing on the pride of our nation, our soldiers. No Democrat would appeal to God for anything today, much less victory at war. And, worse, they would never consider our soldiers to be the “pride of our nation.”

U.K. Riots: What Liberalism Has Wrought

Britain is burning.

It will be here soon enough, the rampaging bands of useless youths coursing through England destroying property and looting stores as they go. Why will it be here? Because our liberal elites look to Britain as the model for where we should go and are actively attempting to force us down that destructive, immoral path.

For several nights, now, the ignorant, selfish, half-wild, cretins that the British call their children have been waging war with common decency. They have been looting the nation’s soul. And why? Because liberals have mollycoddled them, given them free stuff, allowed them to exist in a world without rules or consequences.

Shame On Obama’s Ambassador to the U.K.

The political hack that Obama sent to be our ambassador to the United Kingdom has shown himself to be just that, a useless, inexpert, political hack. This hack didn’t bother to attend a large dinner given to celebrate the life and work of an American president, embarrassing Americans and British alike.

Last weekend, to celebrate the special relationship that was built between the U.S. and the Brits, a wonderful statue of Ronald Reagan was unveiled in Grosvenor Square, London. Later that night a dinner was held to top off the celebration of the unveiling.

As it happens Ambassador Susman skipped the dinner celebration causing tongues to wag on both sides of the Atlantic.

British Police Afraid of Local Kids, Soon to Come to the USA?

A British police chief has prohibited his own officers from patrolling a local park after dark because he and his fellows are afraid of the punks and trouble makers that infest the place at night. Thanks to a self-destructive and blind obeisance to PCism Britain has truly become an asylum run by the inmates. But this disease of PCism is one that left-wingers in America dearly want to emulate. Will the USA soon find police afraid of their own shadows, too?

Police Inspector Andy Sullivan told a meeting of the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire Town Council that he was not going to allow his officers to enter the park after 8PM because it is too dark. “The place has no lighting and it is still, in effect, a building site. I am not going to put my staff – police officers or PCSOs – into an area where they can’t see what is going on,” he said.

Last week thousands of coddled British students rioted because the British government decided that its children would have to… gasp… earn their own way through college. No longer would these petulant brats be given a free ride through higher education says the government. And these punks are not very happy about it.

Well, one dimwitted 15-year-old child took to a mic at the so-called “Coalition of Resistance National Conference” held in Camden on November 27, 2010. Oh, this child was aghast over the government’s evil ways, he was exercised about his supposed rights, and outraged over how shabbily he and his generation is being treated. In fact, with all his passion, you’d have thought he and his ilk had been really mistreated, held back, oppressed even. But what was really at issue was that he was going to be expected to actually earn his own way through college.

This dimwitted child revealed his inability to think clearly in a public place. He certainly exemplified that old saying, “don’t just stand there allowing people to think you’re stupid, speak up and prove that you are.”

Take a look at how absurd this child is…

I mean, really. This little boy stands there boldly claiming that he and his generation aren’t just going to sit there and “take whatever the government threw at them.” This moron doesn’t get that his logical disconnect is replete with stupidity. Of COURSE he’s going to sit there and take what the government is giving them. That is the whole point of his petulant blather. He WANTS government to give him free stuff.

Obama Likes Euroweenies So Much He Even Dates Like One

On my Twitter feed, I spotted a post by Patrick Ruffini asking a pertinent question… “What’s up with Barack Obama writing out dates euro-style?”

Check out this photo as hosted on the White House website…

Notice that the president signed his name and then penned the date as “11 June 2009”? That is the European way to note dates, not the American way. In America we always put the month, then the day, then the year.

Obama hates America so much he can’t even stand to write dates like Americans do!

(EDIT: I am hearing from several folks that don’t get that I was just trying to rib CommieObamie with this one. I wasn’t being wholly serious. Apparently I wasn’t snarky enough for people to get that. Lighten up Francis!)

Obama Signals British That They Aren’t So Special

>Barack Obama, it was claimed, would “repair” our reputation both with our enemies and our friends. So how has he done? Let’s take Britain for example. Has he “fixed” our special relationship with the British Isles? Well, if by fixed you mean he has fastened that relationship to a negative track, well then “fixed” it is.

Let’s review some of the slights that Barack Obama delivered to our closest allies, the British.

In February, immediately after he entered office, President Obama summarily rejected the most famous bust of Winston Churchill in England loaned to the U.S. for display in the Oval Office by the people of England. The bust was sent to us by the people of the U.K. as a gesture of solidarity and friendship in the aftermath of 9/11. Despite their generosity, Obama returned the generously loaned statuette without alerting the Brits that he intended to do so, blindsiding Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s government.

Europe is Our (Insert Female Pejorative Here)

**And now a word from my inner swaggerer…

Europe is a chick’s name. That’s right, you heard me. The word Europa from which Europe is derived is of feminine gender in origin. In Greek mythology Europa was a Phoenician princess abducted by Zeus. Zeus disguised himself as a bull to pull off the caper.

So, what do we have? Let’s review: Europe is a defenseless but pretty chick fooled by a bunch of bull and ravaged by a God.

Yep. Sounds about right.

Now what about America? How chikified is our name? Well, not much.

As it happens America is named after Amerigo Vespucci, a cartographer and explorer from the mid 1400s who was one of the first westerners to map the coast of the Americas. He was a man, baby.

A man’s man, an explorer, a man of means (well, early in his life, anyway), a sailor. A real tough guy. And even if that isn’t true, at least a person with a swinging anchor and some ballast which is more than we can say for the weeping, cringing Europa.

And since the naming, our two continents have certainly lived up to the theme. Europe, constantly ravaged, always weeping, forever moaning about being nice to folks, and never strong enough to stand on its own for long has been as weak and feckless as can be imagined..

On the other hand America has been the jewel of the world. America was born of the woman but strode forward in confident, self-possessed strides leaving mommy behind sniffling and waving her handkerchief to her successful son and warning him not to forget to write or at least leave a text message. America has spawned riches uncountable with its toils and with the United States at its head has become the world’s father and policeman. It’s a manly nation to say the least.

So, what’s in a name, William old sod? Nothing less than the expression of character (or weakness thereof). We Americans stand astride the world in manliness while Europe swoons by our side in supplication… and nagging, nagging, nagging like the gnarled old hag she has become. Even Zeus would be tired of her by now.

Yep. Europe is our bi_ _h.

Take that you Euroweenies!

So, go on. Call me a cowboy. But whose twirling rope are you Euroweenies gonna reach for when you’ve let the Islamofascists take over your lands? Whose six-shooters will come in handy when the Chinese are blowing you away? Which man in the white hat are ya gonna call on when you suddenly find yourself surrounded by hostiles on all sides? If’n yer lucky, pardner, we might jess lope on by and help ya out. Ya never know. Give us a whistle and see.

This book serves as a warning to every advocate of the “free” healthcare that Obama is trying to sell like snake-oil from a traveling case. If government gets control of our healthcare, our entire system will be worse off for it.

In “Shattered Lives: One Hundred Victims of Government Health Care,” author Amy Ridenour presents us with 100 heartwrenching stories of healthcare victims from Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Japan and other western nations, stories that should serve as a warning against our blundering down the destructive path of nationalized healthcare.

Ridenour regales us with tales of self-dentistry because government healthcare refuses service, deaths over canceled operations or long-delayed treatment, and citizens that had to flee their own country to find lifesaving healthcare in other lands. There are tales of babies born in home toilets because government healthcare refused to see a pregnant mother, diseases undiagnosed, and restrictive and ill-conceived rationing to services causing blindness and other ailments.

Sweden’s Healthcare Failures: A Warning to U.S.

David Hogberg of the National Policy Center has an interesting, in depth study of the mess that is Sweden’s single payer healthcare system from 2007 that is very relevant to today’s discussion of Obamacare because much of what Obama wants has already proving a failure in Sweden.

“The experience of Sweden demonstrates,” Hogberg says, “that when a nation adopts market-oriented reform for its health care system, the reforms will fail if the market is not permitted to work.”

Hogberg discusses some of the detailed changes that Sweden made to its system in the 1980s. These changes were made because costs were getting out of control and the government felt some market forces needed to be added to the system to help balance it. But the efforts were half measures that didn’t work.

The Diminishing Returns of National Healthcare

Now even The New York Times is admitting that Obamacare means rationing and also means a cutting back of Medicare proving that fears of America’s elderly are “not entirely irrational.” The Times is admitting that the original guarantee that Medicare is forever and that the government won’t interfere between patient and doctor is fading fast.

Again, as we’ve said in the past, one of the chief ways we can judge if we should allow Obama and his Democrats succeed in forcing a government takeover of our healthcare is to look to see how government controlled healthcare works in other countries — or doesn’t, as the case may be. We’ve had many examples already of how badly nationalized healthcare works in England and Canada, and here are two more.

Let’s start with our northern neighbors who, it seems, flood across the border seemingly on a monthly basis to get their healthcare here in the U.S. because they can’t get it in a timely manner in their own country.

Brit Hospital Manager Warns Against Obamacare

Who better to inform us of how wonderful a socialistic healthcare system is than one who ran the very hospitals enmeshed in such a system? Well, the Wall Street Journal gave some space to just such a fellow in its August 12 edition.

Alan B. Miller’s piece in the Journal is enlightening and a bit scary, honestly. He assures us that “we don’t want to go the government route” and be foolish enough to institute Obamacare. And Miller should know, too, as he is the chairman and CEO of Universal Health Services Inc., a company responsible for running some of Britain’s hospitals. As we know, Britain has a nationalized healthcare system and has since just after WWII.

A single-payer system may appear attractive to some. But as someone with more than 30 years of experience running a leading hospital company with international operations, I have firsthand knowledge of the hidden costs.

Miller reminds us that Medicare does not fully reimburse hospitals for costs incurred by its patients leave 7 cents on every dollar unpaid. He then says that the reason Medicare “works” to the degree it does — while still a failing concern — is because the hospitals rely on those with private insurance to make up the loss incurred by Medicare. But if the whole system becomes a government owned enterprise we will have major problems; chiefly rationing and cuts in service.

If hospitals had to rely solely on Medicare reimbursements for operating revenue, as would occur under a single-payer system, many hospitals would be forced to eliminate services, cut investments in advanced medical technology, reduce the number of nurses and other employees, and provide less care for the patients they serve. And with the government in control, Americans eventually will see rationing, the denial of high-priced drugs and sophisticated procedures, and long waits for care.

Miller then points to his experience of precisely that situation in England.

He warns us not to emulate the mess that has happened in Canada and England. Let’s hope people are listening to actual experience.

Euros Upset at Lack of Obama ‘Change’ With Ambassador Picks

Wanna be an Ambassador in the era of “change”? OK, then what do you have to do? Do you need to speak a foreign tongue? How about have some training in diplomacy? Maybe exhibit familiarity with any particular foreign culture? Nope, not in Obama’s Washington. All you need to do is donate a hefty sum to the Obama campaign and voila, you are in like Flynn. It may not bother Obama, but this big donor cum ambassador situation is striking a sour note with those Europeans that thought that Obama was going to be a man more interested in professionalism, qualifications and a serious attention to foreign policy than in paying off big donors.

So much for “change.”

Brits, Inat’l Community, Subsidizing Torture With Aid

By now, we are all familiar with the specious European efforts to bring President Bush up on charges of “crimes against humanity” because of the authorized torture he and his administration supposedly instituted. Oh, the Euros are in high dudgeon over their assumed sense of moral superiority in their claims against the evil, evil America. Despite the rapidly improving situation in Iraq, the calls to throw our national leaders into some Euroweenie calaboose have surged unabated. Yet, as these same hypocrites have been funding a supporting torture (not to mention financing the exportation of terrorism) for decades and now there is another report that points this little hypocritical fact out for all the world to see.

On July 29, The Guardian newspaper reported that two “leading human rights groups” are reporting that the Palestinian groups Hamas and Fatah routinely capture and torture members of each others organizations as well as Palestinians not known to be affiliated with any group.

Al-Haq, an independent Palestinian human rights group, said yesterday that more than 1,000 people have been detained by each side within the past year. An estimated 20%-30% of the detainees suffered torture, including severe beatings and being tied up in painful positions, said Al-Haq director Shawan Jabarin, citing sworn statements from 150 detainees. It said mistreatment had led to three deaths in Gaza and one in the West Bank.

Another human right group, Human Rights Watch, concurs that torture “is dramatically up.”

Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch makes similar allegations in a 113-page report due out tomorrow. “The use of torture is dramatically up,” said Fred Abrahams, a senior researcher for the group. The report found detainees in Gaza were held for shorter periods than those in the West Bank but the abuse was more intense.

And what is the response to this torture by the vaunted “international community”? They want to throw money at the Palestinians.
