From Barack Obama and his well-oiled propaganda machine, we have come to realize that truth can be found only in the opposite of what’s said. So, when the President announced his new initiatives to help the country’s struggling middle class, I knew that, in fact, the all-out war on the middle class had formally been declared.

(11th District) Kinzinger Asks How Much VP Biden’s Visit for Halvorson Fundraiser Cost Taxpayers?

Republican Candidate for the 11th District House seat Adam Kinzinger is still trying to find out how much Vice President Joe Biden’s August 20 appearance at a Democrat fundraiser for Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D) cost the taxpayers for police protection and city services.

Along with Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica (R), Kinzinger, a U.S. Air Force pilot, has filed several Freedom of Information Act requests with Chicago and Cook County to discover the costs of Biden’s fly-by visit at least to those two municipalities.

Police interrupted travel from the airport, cleared city streets, monitored protesters and helped the vice president’s motorcade of unmarked squads and the Secret Service snake through Chicago’s West Side and South Loop.

Biden took care of other business while here during the August 20 visit, but the chief reason he came was for the Halvorson fundraiser. Kinzinger wants to know how much Halvorson’s fundraiser cost the taxpayers?

Mark Twain’s cynical comment that, “No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.” is even truer today than when he first uttered those words in 1866. So, America, let’s all let out a collective sigh of relief that our increasingly kleptocratic Congress is currently in recess! Time to hit the beach and frolic in the waves just like our President and Representatives!

Oh, wait, we can’t. We’re too busy clinging to our jobs to take time off for fun, working two jobs to pay for the ever-increasing cost of living or too broke from being unemployed to go any where for vacation this year. Bummer. Guess we’ll just have to live vicariously through watching our hardly-working, always-traveling, apologist-in-Chief, President Obama, and the DC Ruling Elites splash about for us in one of America’s most exclusive, swank and expensive vacation spots ever, Martha’s Vineyard.

Beloved by preppy snobs of either party, Martha’s Vineyard is a pricey haven away from the common herd. It’s been the vacation get-away for celebrities and politicians for decades and it’s not uncommon for the likes of Kate Jackson, Steve Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, Beyoncé Knowles and Meg Ryan to bump into Senator John Kerry, President Bill Clinton and Senator Ted Kennedy.

Vice Prez Gaffe-o-matic: Biden Praises Jersey Auto Tunnel Project… Wonders Why Rail Tracks Are In The Way

Vice President gaff-o-matic strikes again. Construction finally began on the nation’s largest transportation project in North Bergen, New Jersey this week. After much debate and planning an $8.7 billion tunnel that is supposed to double the number of train commuters that can travel between New Jersey and Manhattan broke ground at last.

Vice President Joe Biden was so excited about the tunnel that he mentioned the project on a Monday conference call with various newspapers and interested parties in New Jersey. He was proud that the Obama administration had sent stimulus money to this new tunnel “designed to provide for automobile traffic” for New Jersey.

Uh, oops. It’s a railway tunnel, not a car tunnel, Joey.
