100,000 Georgians Also Registered to Vote in Ohio, Other States

-By Warner Todd Huston

Action 2 News WSB TV Atlanta took the entire month of August to look over the voter roles and discovered 100,000 Georgians registered to vote in Georgia and other states. They also found at least three voters that voted in Georgia as well as another state. (see video)

The News 2 report reminds us all that there is no national data base so that the various states can purge their voter lists of citizens that no longer live in a previous state yet have re-registered in their new state.

After this election the states need to get together and compare voter roles. It is so easy to game the system it’s unbelievable.

The Constitution, Two Candidates & An Election

-By Nancy Salvato

We are presently witnessing an historic event during this 2008 presidential election. On the one hand, we could see the first female vice president resulting from the vote. On the other hand, we may find that we have elected our first black president. Either way, a glass ceiling will have been broken, heralding in a new era in our history. Many challenges had to be met before a moment like this could take place, beginning with the creation of a written constitution which reflected an entirely new understanding about government. I’m not talking about federalism or the idea that democracy could be scalable. What I’m referring to is the idea that there can be “conflict in consensus.”

Our Constitution was ratified on September 13, 1788 but only after a series of compromises were made, first by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention and then during the ratification process when it was promised that a Bill of Rights would be added to the document in order to convince some state representatives to vote affirmatively. The careful notes that James Madison took during that long summer when the delegates hammered out the changes to his Virginia Plan –which later became the US Constitution, inform us that it wasn’t an easy process and that no one was entirely satisfied with the finished product. However, the Framers accepted that the Constitution they molded would not create a utopia. They were striving to achieve “national cohesion, political stability, economic growth, and individual liberty” -all out of reach under the Articles of Confederation. They understood that they were creating a more perfect union and that this process would be ongoing.

Labor Unions: A Brood of Vipers

-By Thomas E. Brewton

Labor unions make us poorer and they prolong recessions.

Senator Obama’s short-sighted support for wealth-redistribution taxation and for socialist labor unions is nothing new for Democrat/Socialist politicians.

Both in England and in the United States, labor unions led the political assault to overwhelm the individualistic traditions that made those nations great and to impose socialistic planning and regulation.

Between 1933 and 1940, Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal nationalized agriculture, promoted the expansion of membership and power of communist-led labor unions, and pushed businesses into the National Recovery Administration (NRA), an imitative version of Mussolini’s Fascist state corporatism.

‘Smoke and Mirrors,’ The Anderson Analysis

-By John Armor

Anybody remember John Anderson? Let’s not always see the same hands. John Anderson was a Congressman from Illinois who ran as an independent for President in 1980. I remember him well, because I was involved in his campaign from the beginning.

Yes, all my life I’ve had a penchant for lost causes. Call it the Rhett Butler syndrome – Rhett joined the Confederacy only after the burning of Atlanta. I wrote a key memorandum to John Anderson urging him to drop out of the Republican Party and out of a debate in Dallas on 22 March as I recall, declare as an independent, and use the method I suggested to make the ballot in all 50 states. He did that, and that, and achieved that access.

Anyway, fringe candidates don’t have the same obligation to avoid saying anything that will offend anyone, on any basis, to the extent that can be done. Therefore, fringe candidates occasionally speak snippets of truth that go right to the heart of the matter. Anderson did that in 1980.

I voted last Monday

-By Daniel Williamson, Buckeyerino.wordpress.com

I voted during the early voting period last Monday, a week ago from today.

Should I thank Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner for an atmosphere simultaneously conducive to both vote fraud and vote suppression? Or, was what I witnessed solely the creation of the Erie County Board of Elections? Rumblings from various parts of the state suggest that the integrity of Ohio’s election systems are being questioned beyond just Erie County.

Check out this Cuyahoga County story about thousands of dead voters told by the television reporters at Cleveland’s Newsnet 5.

For even more news on the topic of election fraud, I recommend a visit to Vote Fraud Squad. They have a clearinghouse of such stories at their site.

Ohio Vote Fraud: The Dead Voting In Cleveland

-By Warner Todd Huston

Every election the TV news folks in Cleveland run stories about dead people voting. Usually, they note that these registrations are mere clerical errors. Often times they are right, too. Let’s face it, government rarely works well. But this year TV5 in Cleveland has found at least one dead voter that is voting as a result of fraud, not just government incompetence… even though the TV report doesn’t focus properly on the fact.

Despite having passed away in 1993, TV5 discovered that Alex Holmes, Sr. voted in the past primary elections. Holmes’ son also voted properly in the primaries, so TV5 notes that this is obviously not a clerical error.

TV5 goes on to discuss the dead voting in its report, but after the fist few sentences, the curious case of Alex Holmes, Sr. voting disappears from the story.

But, here is the thing. Obviously someone took this deceased man’s identity and voted in Cleveland. Cleveland is in Cuyahoga County, hotbed of ACORN vote fraud efforts. TV5 noted that “13,000 dead voters registered in Cuyahoga County” for the 2006 elections and that was before the monstrously illegal efforts of ACORN in the county.

Arab Paper: ‘Obama’s Historic Intifada’ Allows Islam to ‘Impose its Point of View on World’

-By Warner Todd Huston

From Beirut, Chawki Freiha reports* on a provocative editorial that appeared in the Al Quds Al Arabi newspaper on November 3 written by Abdelbari Atwan, the first journalist to have met with Osama bin Laden. Titled “Obama’s Historic Intifada,” Atwan praises the probable election of Barack Obama to the White House and claims that with Obama installed in Washington, Islam will be able to “impose its point of view” on the world.

As to be expected, Atwan’s editorial decries the Bush administration because it is “controlled by Zionists… whose objective is to destroy the Arab world and Islam.” Displaying true Muslim conspiratorial thinking, Atwan further claims that all Middle Eastern countries have been under the control Israel, even though the Arabs have the “largest wealth” in the world in petrodollars.

The most alarming part of Atwan’s editorial, however, is that he imagines that with a President Obama in office, Islam will be able to use its oil wealth to control the world.

CNN Spins Obama Wanting to Bankrupt Coal Industry as Old News

-By Warner Todd Huston

In reporting the speech by Gov. Sarah Palin in Ohio today, CNN’s Political Ticker tried to spin her question about Obama’s coal comment as old news when it clearly isn’t. Palin asked why we are just now finding out about the interview where Barack Obama said he had hoped to bankrupt the coal industry but CNN termed this interview and Obama’s startling admission as “months-old coal comments” in an attempt to soften the blow to Ohio and Pennsylvania voters. The Political Ticker said that since the San Francisco Chronicle had these comments on its website for nine months, the news of Obama’s quote was no big deal. But this is a misleading claim.

As we know from P.J. Gladnick’s NewsBusters report, Obama admitted that his intention for new coal plants was to slap so many fees, regulations and taxes on any new venture that it would “bankrupt” the company that tries it.

Palin, stumping Sunday in Ohio’s coal country, brought this interview up at a campaign appearance in Marietta, Ohio. “Why is the audio tape just now surfacing?,” she asked the shocked crowd.

John Fund on ACORN’s Ohio Vote Fraud

-By Warner Todd Huston

Wall Street Journal mainstay, Jon Fund, has been doing yeoman’s work on vote fraud for years. His work is always not to be missed and today at Politico, Fund has a piece headlined Falsified registrations become votes. It’s another great piece.
Fund’s piece takes us on a discovery of vote fraud across the country, so it is a must read. But, since we are chiefly interested in Ohio, here is the relevant bit:

There are already documented examples of fraudulent registrations being converted into fraudulent votes in Ohio, where ACORN and other groups were active. Darrell Nash, an ACORN registration worker, submitted an illegal form for himself and then cast a paper ballot during the state’s “early voting” period.

Franklin County prosecutor Ron O’Brien also cracked down in the case of 13 out-of-state registrants who came to Ohio to register voters in Columbus for the group Vote From Home. The group all lived out of the same rented 1,175-square-foot house in Ohio, registered to vote and then most of them either cast early voting ballots or submitted applications for absentee ballots before leaving the state. They have agreed to have all of their ballots canceled in exchange for the prosecutor’s decision not to file charges.

The Columbus Dispatch reported last month that “none of them seems to have ties to Ohio” — and apparently had no intention of staying there. One has even moved back to England, where he is a student. It is illegal in almost all states to vote somewhere that is not your permanent residence.

Obama the Justifier

By Selwyn Duke

Election reportage is reaching a fever pitch, and one of the hottest stories concerns a recently revealed interview Barack Obama gave to Chicago Public Radio in 2001. In it, then Illinois state senator Obama talked about whether his desire to spread the wealth around might be better accomplished legislatively or through the courts and lamented that the latter hadn’t done enough to further this socialist goal.

While many have heard the interview, very few have identified its most troubling aspect. It’s not that Obama’s answers were peppered with various forms of the term “redistribute,” as all politically sentient beings already know this is what he aims to do with other people’s money. It wasn’t that he said the Warren court wasn’t really all that “radical.” It’s not even that he strongly implied the Constitution was flawed, as no legal document is perfect, and many thinking people would like to see the Constitution altered in some way. No, there is something far, far more chilling, although, to many, it may seem somewhat innocuous. It was when Obama spoke of how legal “justifications” could be found allowing the courts to order redistributive policies. This single, solitary statement transcends one policy and reveals The One’s philosophy.

If I said “So-and-so has his justifications or “He just wants to justify his actions,” we all know that the italicized words don’t have a positive connotation. Justifications are not usually synonymous with reasons – they tend to be more akin to rationalizations.

Crowding Obama

-By Thomas E. Brewton

The mindless throngs assembled to worship their savior, Senator Obama, bring to mind José Ortega y Gasset’s The Revolt of the Masses.

Street mobs and mass demonstrations are a product of socialism, beginning with the Parisian mobs who assaulted the Bastille on July 14, 1789, then dragged government ministers from their homes and hanged them from the lamp posts.

Everything about these mass demonstrations is anathema to the Constitution’s Bill of Rights, which was intended to protect individual political liberties from the power of the mob. Today, liberal-progressive Federal judges justify abrogation of individual liberties, particularly property rights, by reference to mob sentiment.

Ohio Pizza Joint Supplies Free Pizza to Voters… But Who’s Paying This Bill?

-By Warner Todd Huston

It is being reported on FreeRepublic that Donatos Pizza had been carting in free pizza to hundreds of voters waiting in line to vote in Columbus Ohio. At Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, in Columbus, Ohio early voters had been waiting in lines sometimes for hours to pull that lever.

The Freeper reported that the lines were filled with vocal Obama supporters in that Obama town. But, the question is: did Donatos Pizza offer these slices for free out of the goodness of their hearts, or did someone pay for all these “free” pizzas?

Ohio: Out-of-State Voters not Cross-Checked With Out-of-State Votes

-By Warner Todd Huston

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that up to 65,000 ballots were sent from Ohio to voters in other states that are still registered in Ohio despite living elsewhere. But, there is no system to cross-check these out-of-state voters to see if they are registered and/or have voted in other states.

As the Plain Dealer notes, Ben Piscitelli, a spokesman for the Franklin County Board of Elections said, “We don’t check out-of-state absentee voters to determine if they’ve voted outside Ohio.”

This could have an effect on the out come in Ohio.

KCStar’s Kraske: McCain Win is ‘Jim Crow… Invited to Dinner’

-By Warner Todd Huston

Yet another writer from a lefty paper is here to tell us all that McCain and all his followers are racists. You see, if McCain wins, Steve Kraske imagines in his latest column that all blacks will feel that Jim Crow is back and the rest of the Democratic Party will be “angry at the world.” So, a McCain win will be the return of Jim Crow? Isn’t that an awfully irresponsible lie to promulgate, Mr. Kraske?

Kraske ruminates about how horrible it will be if McCain beats The One at the polls on Tuesday. But, he gets quite a lot of his analysis wrong, not surprisingly.

Just imagine it: One more loss for the Democratic Party in a race for the White House, its ninth in 14 elections. All those young people and first-time voters excited about Obama, eager to see a dynamic new figure in charge, let down, dispirited, disillusioned by the outcome.

Unfortunately for Kraske’s fevered imagination, Gallup has found that no more young people have registered to vote this time than they did in 2004, so this avalanche of new, young voters has turned out to be a myth. There really won’t be that many new, young voters feeling all “dispirited” and the like.

This Is What a Vote for Obama Gets You

-By Frank Salvato

I live in Illinois, just outside of Chicago. I live in the state that incubated the political career of Barack Obama and for that, as a resident of the State of Illinois and a conservative, I apologize. But this puts me in a unique position to afford you a glimpse of things to come for our nation should Barack Obama attain the Oval Office, and especially if Democrats maintain or increase their control in Congress. I present to the citizens of the United States the State of Illinois; a working model that illustrates the consequences of a government run by the Progressive-Left.

In 2003, five short years ago, the State of Illinois went blue; not light blue or royal blue but Daley Machine, Chicago Democrat, Progressive-Left cobalt blue. For decades our state existed in a symbiotic political state; the Daley Machine Chicago Democrats controlling Cook County and most of the lesser “urban areas” and the Illinois GOP holding sway in the collar counties and rural areas. But the failure (and I believe cowardice) of Republican Governor George Ryan to take one for the party by stepping down before he was convicted of corruption, ushered in a dark era of Progressive-Left, Democrat political control in Illinois. Democrats now hold all statewide offices and control both houses of the legislature. This being said, everything that has happened since 2003 is attributable to Democrat and Progressive-Left action and leadership.

Google Proves Crime Does Pay – If You Have Enough Market Power

-By Scott Cleland

Google, in settling with authors/publishers for $125m in their copyright infringement lawsuits, has cleverly leveraged its market power to tip, and lock in, another Internet segment to de facto Google monopoly control — access to most of the world’s books online. The untold story here is how this settlement:

  • Enthrones Google as the de facto gatekeeper to access most of the world’s books online;
  • Establishes a “new model” for online content distribution;
  • Attempts to set precedent that leveraging market power to extract monopoly rents in an adjacent market is OK; and
  • Positions Google to become the world’s omni-platform for media distribution that will wipe out traditional media competition, unless antitrust enforcement ensures media distribution competition survives.

Why does crime pay for Google?

Seattle Paper Publishers Pictures and Addresses of Homes With McCain Signs

-By Warner Todd Huston

**Update** 4PM 11/01/08

Like Obama, the folks that run The Stranger “newspaper” in Seattle are all about tolerance… as long as you believe the same things they believe. If you don’t, well, then you deserve intimidation and a good “outing.” just as Obama has tried to intimidate radio talk show hosts, just like he has tried to use the office of the Attorney General to quash political free speech, The Stanger publication has decided that the best way to force citizens of Seattle to toe the far left political line is to have their homes photographed and their addresses made public for the outrageous crime of having a McCain/Palin sign on their property.

Editorial Director Dan Savage, another boring Seattle gay activist, has helmed this intimidation disguised as “humor” in order to attack his political opposition. Good thing ol’ Danny is all “tolerant” and stuff, isn’t it?

Trash Novelist’s Trash Talk: Obama Loss Will ‘Spark American Civil War,’ Says Erica Jong

-By Warner Todd Huston

Like most of the leftist illiterati in the U.S., trash novelist Erica Jong has revealed symptoms of what appears to be a mental nervous breakdown over this election. In an interview to the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Jong fretted that an Obama loss would “spark the second American Civil War” and also that his loss would cause “blood to run in the streets.” She also admitted that she was experiencing a “paralyzing terror” about the upcoming election. It seems that those most mentally disturbed by this election inhabit the American far left, revealing a seeming delicately balanced mental state — or maybe I should say an unbalanced one.

Jason Horowitz of the New York Observer brings us Jong’s overwrought blather and also notes that Jong seems to think the same worries are being echoed by many of her jet-setting comrades. Jong notes that Jane Fonda, Naomi Wolf, Ken Follett and others have agreed with her that the world will end if the messiah isn’t elected.

Horowitz translates what he calls “the more spirited quotes” from Jong’s Italian interview:

What a Democrat Win Will Mean

-By Warner Todd Huston

Michael Sandler over at The Hill has some ominous warnings about what a landslide Democrat victory next week will mean to unions and the economy.

Sandler warns that unions will find a resurgence in influence in government, especially with an Obama presidency.

With those obstacles removed, Democrats could quickly push forward with legislation allowing labor unions to organize without secret-ballot elections and a bill expanding the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

Other possibilities include the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which would overturn a Supreme Court decision restricting equal pay lawsuits; a measure that would narrow the role of a “supervisor” for collective bargaining purposes; and a mandate for paid sick leave for companies with 15 or more employees who work at least 30 hours a week — all left over from the last Congress.

“I think they want to strike while the iron’s hot and grab everything they can,” said Marc Freedman, director of labor law policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The “card check” plan of destroying the ages old democratic concept of the secret ballot will irreparably harm the safety and integrity of employee’s vote on union matters. Instead of the secret ballot, employees will have to openly sign “cards” in public so that their vote is open for all to see. This will surely enhance union thugs’ ability to identify employees who vote against the union line in order to spotlight them as an “anti-union” employee and, therefore, to be targeted for attention and union intimidation.

Victory At Any Price

-By David Huntwork

Have you ever wondered about “community organizing” and the swarming “get out the vote” goon squads that the Left increasingly mobilizes for presidential elections? ACORN is one of the largest of these entities and has an extensive and long history with Barack Obama. It is one of the central players in the massive Democratic voter registration drives you’ve been hearing about over the last few months. What we are beginning to learn is that it is little more than a massive exercise in voter fraud and mischief of all kinds. Dead Indians and illegal aliens have long been a significant Democratic voting base in certain parts of the country but now that concept of electoral fraud has spread throughout the nation.

ACORN has long suckled at the public teat. It has rewarded such trust and expenditures of the public treasury by managing to get itself placed under scrutiny or investigation in no less than eleven different states for submitting thousands of fraudulent new voter registrations. The usual dead suspects are now being supplemented by small children and even the names of sport celebrities. `

A good example from the New York Post.

The young will pay for a President Obama

-By Michael M. Bates

It’s lamentable that Obama and Biden only tell the truth when people give them money. It was at a San Francisco fundraiser that Obama voiced his belief that residents of small towns in Pennsylvania and elsewhere “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

More recently Biden told contributors at a Seattle fundraiser:

“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

Another Idiot Teacher Alert: Vampire Drawing Gets Kid Called ‘Gang Member’

-By Warner Todd Huston

But Why Does The AP Report Ignore Key Part of Story?

Remember when you were a young school kid and you drew a vampire during the week of Halloween? Remember how the blood was always dripping down from his menacing, pearly white teeth? Remember how it was all in good Halloween fun? Well, you can just forget THAT mister, at least if you are a 5th-Grader in the Savannah-Chatham school system in Georgia. In Georgia, if you draw a vampire you get called a gang member — even when you were assigned to make the drawing — and then you get sent to “psychological evaluation” as if you are some mentally disturbed monster. Then they kick you out of school… for a Halloween drawing. Really.

The Savannah Morning News gives us the gruesome story of another touchy-feelie teacher gone stupid and another poor little kid lost in “zero-tolerance” hell this Halloween week.

When Jordan Hood was assigned the task of drawing a “scary Halloween mask,” he innocently drew a scary vampire. His art teacher even helped him out with a few of the details. But then came home-room teacher Melissa Pevey (amusingly, even her name sounds pent up) who decided that, far from Halloween fun, little 5th-grader Jordan was obviously a violence prone, mentally disturbed, gang member. So in a harrowing Halloween experience that had no fun in it at all, Pevey had him paraded down to the principal’s office where he was confronted by the police and assigned “psychological evaluation” as a punishment for his artistry.

NYTimes Review of Books Hates Book on War Because no Gays are in it

-By Warner Todd Huston

It’s like dissing a toddler’s beginner science book because the theory of relativity isn’t discussed in exhaustive detail. It’s as foolish as trashing a comic book because the art isn’t of da Vinci quality. It’s as absurd as being mad because a Michael Moore movie isn’t any good or that a candy bar has too much chocolate in it. The review in the New York Times of Martin van Creveld’s new book about war is like expecting a product to be something it isn’t supposed to be. It seems that the Times Reviewer thinks that a book on war isn’t any good unless it deals with gays and feminists. I suppose, though, the New York Times Reviewers don’t like any book unless it deals with gays and feminists at this point, so far has the Times’ reviews degraded to prosaic PCism.

Martin van Creveld’s book The Culture of War is an epic investigation of the why of war, not just the history of same. Van Creveld concludes that war is a part of man’s psyche, a part of man’s very makeup, not just a political expression or some accidental incidental. Man has a never satisfied hunger for war which explains the almost religious veneration for war casualties and veterans and the fascination with uniforms and weapons he exhibits. Man IS war.

This is a heady thesis. It goes against, to a degree, the thoughts of famous Prussian military theorist Carl von Clausewitz who said that war was really just politics by another method — giving war a more disinterested, clinical imputes. Van Creveld is saying man indulges in war because he must, not because he merely chooses to in order to advance a political cause, a la Clausewitz.

OK, OK, that’s all pretty technical and deep. But that’s what this book is all about. Mr. van Creveld presents a firm thesis that war is ingrained in man and then goes about to review history to show it. He discusses in detail the love of showy uniforms, war themes, music, famous personalities at war, various conflicts and outcomes and the like. It’s intended to be a comprehensive history and clocking in at 512 pages it’s nigh on just that.

So, what was the New York Times’ chief complaints? It was too detailed, the writer likes war too much, and, most curious, the book didn’t talk about gays and feminists.

Ohio Secretary of State Linked to ACORN, Project Vote

Connie Hair reports Partisan Ohio Sec. of State is linked to ACORN! This is outrageous that this Sec. of State, one standing in the way of a fair and honest vote in Ohio is linked with one of the most notoriously lawbreaking get-out-the-vote groups in the country.

Ohio Secretary of State Linked to ACORN, Project Vote
by Connie Hair, Human Events

The national development director for Project Vote, an affiliated organization of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, has been linked to embattled Ohio Secretary of State, Democrat Jennifer Brunner. Karyn Gillette of Project Vote was a campaign consultant for the Brunner campaign, according to information found in a post made by Rick Brunner on April 11, 2006 on the secretary of state’s own blog.

“Our candidate had gone earlier in the day to have some meetings and work out of Karyn Gillette’s office, but when your correspondent arrived in his S-10 pickup truck, our staff person, Lauren, drove that back to Columbus, while we continued on to dinner with Craig Bashiene and John Lancione. We were accompanied by our consultant, Karyn Gillette. Karyn and her business partner, Mary Grace, have been very helpful to the campaign.”

The links between Gillette and Brunner do not end there.

McCain Endorsing Journalists Thrown off Obama’s Campaign Plane!

-By Warner Todd Huston

ALERT! Senator Obama has thrown off his campaign plane the members of the press representing the New York Post, Washington Times and Dallas Morning News — papers that endorsed John McCain for president. According to an exclusive from Drudge this happened yesterday night, Oct. 30.

As Drudge has it, some are saying that the Obama campaign is trying to “make room” for network bigwigs and a documentary crew attempting to cover Obama’s last remaining days on the campaign trail.

Now, let me recap a paragraph from Obama’s plea to the nutroots to play nice:

But to the degree that we brook no dissent within the Democratic Party, and demand fealty to the one, “true” progressive vision for the country, we risk the very thoughtfulness and openness to new ideas that are required to move this country forward.

But, is throwing off his plane journalists that disagree with him an example of Barack “reaching across the aisle”? Is this his idea of a “new” politics, one of “bipartisan” principles? Dissent from his positions and be banished???

I guess Obama’s intention to play nice and doing away with “brooking no dissent” is suddenly not so important when one wants to win the White House. Let’s “get in their face,” instead, eh Senator Obama?

Chgo Sun-Times Greeley: Racism Will Make Obama Lose

-By Warner Todd Huston

In the Chicago Sun-Times on October 29, Andrew Greeley said that Barack Obama simply cannot beat racism to become president of the United States. He’s consumed by all the talk of racism during this campaign and he sees it everywhere he turns. Of course, Greeley is right. There is a lot of talk of racism. But he isn’t right about where it’s coming from. You see, Greeley is claiming that racism is the sole reason that anyone wouldn’t support Obama and he worries that racist talk is coming in torrents from Obama’s opponents. The truth is, though, that the only people talking about racism is Obama and his most earnest supporters. People like Greeley.

Greeley and Obama’s other supporters claim that anyone that opposes Obama is a racist. But the reality is that Obama’s opponents are not talking much of or worried about the fact that Barack Obama is a black man. Obama’s supporters, however, are acting just like the worst example of a McCarthyite in the respect that they see “racists” under their bed at night, around every corner, and in every dark closet. Greeley and his ilk see racists lurking everywhere… whether they exist or not.

In fact, in his fevered imagination, Greeley thinks that racists fill both parties and that they had marked Obama for destruction at the very outset saying that, “his rivals perceived that they had to destroy him.” He marks the early battleground as the “haters on the Internet” and then claims that the Democrat Party itself took up the anti-Obama bigotry.

Calif. Teachers Outraged Over Dues Going to Gay Marriage Cause

-By Warner Todd Huston

The Pacific Justice Institute reported that teachers in California are outraged that over one million dollars of their dues money has been spent by union leaders to promote gay marriage and to fight Proposition 8, a proposal that would restore the traditional definition of marriage in Calif.

Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, recently claimed that if gay marriage becomes recognized in California, school kids will be confronted with increased pressure to accept gay marriage as normal behavior and will be propagandized in school.

“If CTA has its way, we can expect to see more first-graders taking field trips to lesbian weddings, more elementary-age students subjected to transgender teachers and events like ‘Coming Out Week,’ and more students taught that gay marriage is normal. We do not believe those values represent most Californians, or even most teachers. There is a way teachers can say ‘Enough’ to CTA’s radical agenda. Under federal and state law, teachers and all other unionized employees whose religious values are not honored by their unions have the right to disassociate and divert the full amount of their union dues to charity.”

As I’ve said before, donations to extremist causes like this by unions is further proof that the political agenda of union leaders has strayed far from their proper venue of their worker’s rights and needs. The issue of gay marriage is none of a union’s business, yet here is the CTA donating over a million dollars of its members’ dues to a cause that is completely outside its purview.

Unions are no longer interested in the workers and are only interested in gaining political power to wield without benefiting members.
