Rockford Tea Party Calls for Resignation of Teamsters President

After Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa incited violence against Republicans as he introduced President Obama at Monday’s rally in Detroit, at least one organization called for Hoffa to resign over his intemperate and violent rhetoric. The Rockford Tea Party of northern Illinois made the call for Hoffa to resign.

Ohio Businessman Suffers Union Harassment, Property Damage, Violence, Finally a Shooting

Once again we see the un-American criminality of violence-prone union thugs, this time with the disgusting tale of the IBEW carrying on a years long intimidation campaign against a Toledo area, non-union electrical contractor which has progressed from mere harassment to now a shooting.

On August 10, the owner of King Electrical Services, John King, was shot in the arm with a small caliber pistol outside his home an act that has been the culmination of a years long union intimidation campaign by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

King has suffered multiple attacks on his business since 2006 when the IBEW decided that he must unionize his workforce. His property has been damaged, tires flattened, his workers harassed, his home attacked, and harassing phone calls have followed him everywhere.

Union Thug Whines That People Are Mistreating Union Thugs

This one is hilarious. Union chief James P. Hoffa of the Teamsters has an op ed in the Detroit News where he’s crying that everyone is turning against unions these days. Yes, ole Jimmy is yelling, “leave unions alone!”

Hoffa’s headline whines out, “American ills not caused by unions.” We call that a straw man argument. No one said, “Americas ills are caused by unions.” Some of America’s ills are caused by unions, but certainly not all of them. After all some of America’s problems find union being but a symptom thereof!

Straw man isn’t all Hoffa’s up for in this uproarious op ed, though. Get a load of this fearmongering hyperbole…

Some vastly powerful corporations and billionaires want to cripple all unions and turn America into a low-wage banana republic.

Nice try. The REAL people that are mad at unions is all of us regular, poor and middle class folks that are forced to foot the bill for all the union fatcats in government making double what we are making, retiring at 30, and living the high life for forty years afterward on our tax money! With all their free healthcare and whatnot. That’s who’s a bit peeved, there, Jimmy.

A Teamsters High? Dope Growers Join Union

Can you imagine the Teamsters mellowed? Can you think of them being more interested in munchies than in beating up non-union workers? Imagine them just hanging out instead of doing some mobster’s bidding on the mean streets.

The good news today is that we may finally see the violence and agitation in which Teamsters have for so long been embroiled come to a mellow end because California’s pot growers have joined the union. Maybe the dopers will spread the mellow?

In California, the teamsters have organized 40 marijuana workers. They work as gardeners, trimmers and cloners. It’s not clear how labor laws will apply to this situation, since medical marijuana is legal in California but is still a federal crime. Still, the workers got a new contract and a raise.

Nah. More likely the dopers will just become more militant and start beating up non-union drug dealers.

But we can dream, can’t we?

Teamsters Chief Says ‘Public Option’ Not Vital to Healthcare Reform

James P. Hoffa is now saying that if Obama pulls the “public option” out of his healthcare bill, it is not a deal killer as far as union support is concerned.

Hoffa said that he was only interested in what was “doable” and that they need to “get something done… and declare a victory.”

Now let’s take a look at these quotes from Mr. Hoffa, shall we? What does it mean if we aren’t seeing obliged union support without integrity for Obama’s healthcare coming from Hoffa’s Teamsters? Hoffa is saying that he doesn’t care at all what healthcare “reform” will look like as long as they can get it done with and “declare a victory.”

This is unprincipled support of Obama’s healthcare purely for political reasons. What would Hoffa and the unions get from such unprincipled support of Obama’s socialist take over of one sixth of our nation’s economy? Why is Hoffa so disinterested in the actual outcome of the healthcare debate as long as they win it? What will Hoffa get out of this?

It’s all a gambit leading to what the unions really want: the Employee Free Choice Act.

Union Bosses Trying to Bust Strike of OWN Staffer’s Union

Remember how unions are for “the little guy”? Remember how unions can’t wait to take to the street with obnoxious signs and thug behavior to strong-arm some business or another to their will? It’s all about the workers, dontcha know? Well, unless those workers that want to strike happen to be a union’s headquarters staff, that is. In that case union bosses frown on any striking going on.

As LaborReport.com notes, this hilariously hypocritical situation has, indeed, happened inside Teamsters headquarters (known as the “marble palace” for its opulence) in Washington D.C.

The HQ staffer’s union has announced that they might strike to get better wages and benefits, but Teamsters chieftains are furious that the staffer union would dare strike against their employer which happens to be the Teamsters union itself.

Hilariously, Teamster bigwigs are castigating the staffer’s union for refusing to “acknowledge the current economic conditions,” and for working against “belt-tightening.”

Union Thugs Force Members to Attack FedEx

UPS employees and Members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters are claiming that their union leaders forced them to participate in a letter writing campaign and politically motivated envelope stuffing sessions to attack their chief business rival FedEx, the Washington Post reported on August 7.

It seems that union members that work for UPS felt pressured and intimidated by union thug leaders to take their personal time to participate in envelope stuffing sessions where mailings attacking FedEx were gathered and set up for the post office.

Naturally, the union operatives claim that that all the union members that felt forced to participate in the envelope stuffing sessions were happy volunteers. However…

Teamster President Denies Secret Ballot is Basic Tenet of Democracy

James P. Hoffa tried his hand at some spin against opponents of the Orwellian named Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) last week, denying that a secret ballot is a basic tenet of democracy.

“Since when is the secret ballot a basic tenet of democracy,” Hoffa is quoted as saying in a Teamsters press release.

How does he justify this idiotic claim? Because, you see, the Soviet Union had a secret ballot “but those weren’t democratic,” Hoffa reminds us. A facile comparison, for sure.
