Update: Cohen Beats Racist Tinker in Tennessee 9th

Last week I wrote about the Congressional race between Steve Cohen (D, TN) and challenger Nikki Tinker for the Democratic seat in Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District. I wondered why Barack Obama had not come out to denounce the racist attacks that Tinker was unleashing on a fellow Democrat.

Of course, the reason Obama didn’t attack Tinker for her racist attacks was because she was a black woman and Obama refused to come out against her based on her gender and race (Congressman Cohen is a white, Jew).

The racist Tinker unleashed ads against Cohen that likened him to a KKK member and suggested that he is an apostate Jew. Other Tinker supporters claimed that Cohen couldn’t represent them because he was not a black man. She used every racist trick at her disposal to defeat Steve Cohen’s reelection effort.

So where was Barack Obama to denounce the racist ads Tinker promulgated on the voting public? No where to be seen until half the voters were already done casting their vote. On the day of the election, Obama belatedly issued this comment:

“These incendiary and personal attacks have no place in our politics, and will do nothing to help the good people of Tennessee. It’s time to turn the page on a politics driven by negativity and division so that we can come together to lift up our communities and our country.”

Regardless of Obama’s tepid reactions, the racist tactics of Nikki Tinker lost… and big.

Obama’s and Media’s Silence on Racist Attacks on Tenn. Dem

Barack Obama is again unfairly throwing out the race card at an opponent. This week Obama was warning that his Republican opponents will assault him with racist attacks, but is dropping this warning even though no one has yet done so. On July 30th, Obama said at three different campaign stops in Missouri that McCain and his backers will attack him because he “doesn’t look like all those other Presidents on those dollar bills.” This isn’t the first time that Obama has thrown out the race card at opponents that clearly did not play it first themselves.

For all his own sly use of the race card and his warnings that opponents will use his race against him, Obama claims to stand against racism in this campaign. This is a noble stance to take, naturally. Like Obama, any upstanding American should oppose using race charged attacks in political campaigns. Yet, for all his moralizing on the subject, why is it that Obama is staying silent as members of his own party — not to mention his own race — in Tennessee use racial slurs to attack another member of his own party? And why is it that the national media has ignored this story? Perhaps its because the candidate being attacked, Tennessee Congressman Steve Cohen, is not black but is Jewish? And perhaps its because his attackers are members of Tennessee’s black religious community? And perhaps it is because the Congressional Black Caucus is funding Cohen’s Democratic opponent, Nikki Tinker? And perhaps it is because Tinker is benefiting from this anti-Semitic attack against Cohen? Perhaps the media is hoping to hold out long enough for the issue to go away? And what of Obama?

These are vexing, but telling questions.

Never Deported Illegal Murders Family

I am an easy going, laid-back, go-along person but I have my limits and they have been reached. I’ll go so far but no further. I have reached my limits in adjusting to what people with dark skin want to be called.

John Rolfe, Virginia’s first tobacco planter (and husband of Pocahontas) wrote about the arrival of a Dutch ship that arrived on the Virginia coast in 1619 that “brought not any thing but 20 and odd Negroes” that were traded for food. Another source says they were called “Negars.” Later, dark-skinned people were called, “darkies” as in many folk songs. In Gone with the Wind, one character speaks of “the simple-minded darkies.” We are told that when whites used the term “darkies” it did not suggest inferiority; however, I am not convinced that was generally true.

Eventually people of color were called “niggers” without any suggestion of hatred, prejudice, or bigotry at least in many instances. In English literature in 1897, Dickens and Conrad published The Nigger of the ‘Narcissus’ with no racist connotation. Mark Twain often had his characters using the word without any negative or racist suggestions although there are some fanatics who still insist that Twain’s books be removed from public and school libraries.

Chgo Sun-Times: Violent White Men ‘Not Held Accountable for Their Actions’

Did you know that violent white men are never arrested for their actions? The Chicago Sun-Times’ Mary Mitchell is sure of it, if you aren’t. In another of her typically race baiting articles, Mitchell this time says that any time a white man is engaged in violent behavior, he is let off “to go on his merry way,” never to be “held accountable” for his actions. Race monger Mitchell is sure of this, see, because she saw a traffic scuffle between two “old white guys” where no arrests were made by Chicago police.

Two “old white guys” let go without arrest after a traffic altercation? Wow, case closed, racism exists, eh?

Mitchell claims she saw a traffic altercation where one white guy jumped from his car and verbally abused another white man in the car behind him. The Chicago police were called and, in the end, both drivers were told to “go on their merry way,” as Mitchell put it. No arrests were made. Then again, no real violence occurred, either.

Mitchell claims she and other witnesses were stunned.

County Commish’s Black Racist Tender Sensibilities Erupt in Texas

There is always one guy in a bar spoiling for a fight and will take any movement or glance, any sound, any word as his excuse at bellicosity. In the race mongering biz the equivalent would be people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, both men who take immediate umbrage at the un-umbragable, just so that they can use the excuse to extort money out of businesses or get their mugs splashed across the papers and TV. In Dallas County the loudmouth looking for a fight is Commissioner John Wiley Price who foolishly decided that the scientific term “black hole” was a racial epithet and verbally attacked another commissioner for using it.

Here is the whole, stupid, story:

During a special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets the discussion turned to the central collections office that is tasked with processing ticket payments and other paperwork. This discussion prompted Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, a white man, to say that central collections had become a “black hole” of paperwork as often times paperwork simply disappears there.

And now the stupidity:

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Commissioner Price and Judge Jones seem to be very stupid men.

The Crime of Being White

Just recently I wrote a piece about Keith John Sampson, a college student who was charged with “racial harassment” for reading an anti-Ku Klux Klan book. Not surprisingly, the article evoked a great response, including emails from those with their own stories to tell about persecution inspired by what I will call caucaphobia. A couple of these accounts are so compelling – compared to one even Sampson’s problems pale – that I’ve decided to publish them in this piece (both readers allowed me to use their names; their correspondence has been edited for punctuation, grammar and style). These are the stories the mainstream media won’t tell, straight from the front lines of the culture war. They give voice to a persecution whose name most dare not utter.

A Nation in Crisis

People, the news media and pundits like to throw around the word “crisis.” The mainstream media and their ilk tell us that we are currently experiencing a crisis in the sub-prime mortgage market, an economic crisis, a crisis with the environment, a crisis in race relations and with oil prices. There is a crisis with the polar bears, the environmentalists tell us, as they taut their questionable consensus on the global warming crisis, this even as 31,000 scientists rebuke their “consensus.” Educators tell us there is a crisis in public education. We even have a steroid crisis in the sports industry. I won’t be opining about any of these “crisis” today.

We in the United States are experiencing a crisis of epidemic proportions. It is a crisis that threatens to end the great experiment in democracy that is our country. It is a crisis that involves apathy and arrogance, ignorance and a lack of fundamental prioritization. It is a crisis that centers on the loathsome practice of self-aggrandizement at the expense of others and that feeds on the “I’ve got mine, to hell with you” attitude possessed by the self-absorbed so prevalent in today’s American society.

We the People have a crisis of purpose.

Daily Kos Photochop Depicts Michelle Obama Being Tortured by Klan Members

Yesterday, Barack Obama began crying again. Someone should remind him… there’s no crying in politics. He has whined that we can’t use his middle name, he has whined when we bring up his close relations with aging hippy terrorists, that we ask aloud about his “spiritual mentor, the racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and now he is crying that we are highlighting the anti-American statements made by his wife as she campaigns for him all across the country. So, on Monday he whined “lay off my wife,”. Well, fast on the heels of Obama telling us we can’t use the anti-American statements of his wife as a campaign issue we get the kiddies over at the DailyKos doing their best to “help” Barack Obama by making an image of Michelle Obama hanging from a tree with robbed KKK figures torturing her with a branding iron and claiming that this is the “NEW IMPROVED” GOP strategy. So much for the subtleties and civility that Barack claims he wants, eh?

Even more damning, Kos pulled the entire post off the website, photochopped image of Michelle as KKK victim and all. Little Green Footballs has a great screen shot of the original post, but here is the original photochopped image:

This whole thing of Obama constantly whining that everyone is “attacking” him makes him look like such a weakling. What does he think will happen? As the old saying goes, politics ain’t beanbag. This is a tough fight for all the marbles, not a tea party.

SPJ Suggests ‘Omitting Race’ in Crime Reporting

The Society of Professional Journalists has decided that it is best to leave a suspect’s race out of crime reporting except for “extraordinary” reasons. Of course, to the SPJ, “good reporting” means race info in a story about crime isn’t “useful to people in the community” even if the race of a suspect is part of a police report apparently. Despite their claim that they aren’t toeing the PC line, their explanation is filled with just the sort of reasoning based on PC thinking — one of which is that all whites are racists.

Some of you may remember the story in September of 2007 when the Sacramento Bee announced that they were revisiting their policy of including race in their crime stories. A particularly gruesome crime occurred that brought the Bee to revisit their policy when they reported on the suspect leaving out race while Internet reporting as well as the Bee’s own comments section on their internet posting of the story reported the race of the suspect anyway.

SPJ continues, however, to come down on the side of leaving the race of a suspect out of crime reporting. I find their reasons, though, less than convincing. In fact, their concerns are so broad as to make all reporting on every issue untenable if applied farther than just race in crime reporting.

Muslims are Irrational People!

The “peaceful” Muslims in the streets of Denmark, Paris, London, etc., have displayed their true character (or lack thereof) whenever they perceive a wrong done them proving President Bush and other panderers completely wrong in their assessment of Islam. Most U.S. politicians just don’t get it. Traditional Muslims are barbarians by nature because Mohammed and the Koran promote barbarism. Plus, every traditional Muslim school and mosque promote barbarism since they teach the Koran.

Koranic Muslims (those who really believe the Koran) draw their sword before they put their brains in gear. Muslims have every right to be unhappy, angry, hurt, dismayed, etc., at what they perceive as mistreatment, even sacrilegious treatment of their prophet. However, they can’t fathom freedom of press, religion, association, speech, etc. They are still sixth century barbarians right off the desert! Proof of that is seen in today’s report of a court in Saudi Arabia confirming the beheading sentence of a man who cursed Allah!

Yes, the cartoons were impudent and rude, but so what, and the recent film was precise and powerful but historically accurate. So, why all the yelling and threats? That is what freedom is all about. I suggest that Muslim leaders educate their people in civilized behavior. If they want to live among decent, civilized people, they should drag themselves off the Arabian dessert, dress normally, lighten up, and realize that most of us are not going to agree with their theology nor seek to emulate the sayings and actions of their prophet. We have a culture and theology of our own, thank you.

When Will We Admit the Truth About Barack Obama?

If you interview someone for a job, you’ll expect him to tell you what you want to hear. There’ll be a façade, and his darker side will remain well-hidden. Now, let’s say a requirement for the job is that the applicant likes children, and he does his best Captain Kangaroo. But then you find out he has a job history of indifference to and perhaps even abuse of them and that, during unguarded moments, he has expressed disdain for them. What will you believe, what he tries to sell you or history and hair-down revelations?
Remember this when evaluating the profound discrepancy between Barack Obama’s damage-control denials and flowery rhetoric, and his long track record. Understand that he, like the other candidates, is interviewing for the job of president with you, the interviewer. His job is to bend the truth; your job is to discern it. The only question is: Who will do a better job, he or you?

Either Obama really is a savior for the third millennium, or the answer is that he is, thus far, besting many of you. Millions flock to him, registering oohs and ahs, fainting and fawning. Even critics and watchdogs heap praise upon him; Bill O’Reilly said he likes Obama and Sean Hannity proclaimed him a “good man.” But what is the truth about this applicant?

Let me tell you a story. In 2002, President Bush signed into law a bill titled the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act” (BAIPA). This law was necessary because, believe it or not, infants were being born alive during attempted abortions and then, ancient Spartan style, left to die. Does Winfrey Ride The Beast?

At one point in her career, Oprah Winfrey was pretty much seen as a harmless crank as to the casual viewer catching the show in passing assumed that the program dealt primarily with her seesawing weight and whether or not her shackup might secretly prefer to be paid in three dollar bills. However, as she has amassed considerable power and influence during her 20 plus years in the public limelight, this broadcaster is no longer an innocent afternoon distraction filling the time between when one arrives home from work and when dinner is set on the table but rather has intentionally set out to subvert American culture and the spiritual well being of the nation.

Not content with the worlds of television, publishing and politics now that she has taken an interest in Barack Obama only because he happens to be Black, Winfrey has now set out to establish her web presence as well. According to the March 3, 2008 edition of USA Today in an article titled “World Is Oprah’s Classroom”, Winfrey plans to lead an online interactive book discussion.

However, there is more to the book being studied than the typical feminist drivel one would expect women of the upper income bracket to be sitting around and reading. The title of the book alone is enough to send a chill down the spine.

The book is titled “A New Earth: Awakening To Your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle. It is through this text that Winfrey hopes to be the False Prophet to Obama’s Pseudo-Messiah.

St. Francis should have tried bribes

St. Francis Hospital serves a number of low-income people in suburban Chicago. Losing millions of dollars by caring for uninsured patients, four years ago St. Francis sought approval to build an additional hospital in a more prosperous suburb, Orland Park. The idea was to generate income that would help the original facility survive.

Readers may wonder why, in this land so blessed by the fruits of free enterprise, a hospital would have to get state permission to serve a new community. There is no good reason.

Nevertheless, the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board must endorse all such undertakings. Its members, appointed by the governor and ratified by the Illinois Senate, wield heavy clout in a state where clout is king. And when the governor is Milorad Blagojevich, also known as “Public Official A” in Federal indictments, the possibilities are endless.

Yes, Let’s Have Democrats Apologize for Slavery

Just a few days ago I wrote an article ridiculing a woman from Connecticut for wasting the state legislature’s time bothering with a resolution that forced the state to apologize for the witch trials carried out by various Connecticut towns during the 1600’s. I mentioned that “apologizing” for things that happened hundreds of years ago was rather stupid. And witch trials aren’t the only things people want our government(s) to “apologize” for, as we all know. Certainly the long-past support of slavery by the United States is one subject most referenced for which apologies are sought.

I maintained then that such apologies do no one any good. Apologies, I claimed, can only be properly offered and only be graciously accepted by those actually harmed directly by a slight. Something that happened hundreds of years ago, I said, cannot be apologized for. Those slights just are. Live with it.

But, I may have found something that has changed my mind on the offering of apologies. It came in the form of an open letter to the Democrat Party penned by Lt. Colonel Frances Rice a retired US Army officer and member of the Lincoln Heritage Institute.

In her Open Letter to the Democrat Party, Frances was asking for an apology over slavery. I’ll specify here that she wasn’t asking for this apology from the “United States,” to be sure. She wants it directly from the Democrat Party. After all, as Frances’ points reveal, it wasn’t really the “United States” that supported slavery, but more specifically a faction of the country in the form of the Democrat Party and its antecedents. And, I have to say, the woman has a point.

Alan Colmes Agrees With Obama: Middle America is Full of Xenophobes

And now to add to the ever-lengthening list of Obamessiah apologists comes TV and Radio talker Alan Colmes to say that Barack Obama is right, Middle America IS filled with racist, overly religious, gun-nuts.

On his LiberalLand blog (the formerly secret blog he was hiding from the greater world), Sean Hannity’s co-host said the following:

And just where is he wrong? Pointing out why people may be bitter or frustrated, that there is xenophobia, that people sometimes cling to religion or feel paranoid about the government and embrace guns doesn’t mean you hate or disdain a portion of the population.

First of all people do not “cling” to guns and religion because of what a government does or does not do. It is especially demeaning to people’s religious sentiment to say that government is their reason for “clinging” to their religion. And secondly, Obama did not mean to say that people were merely frustrated. He was clearly trying to paint Middle America as racist, gun-nuts that were too stupid to understand what was going on around them.

I Dream of Obama

Remember Barbara Eden’s hit character “Jeannie” materializing from a cloud of pink smoke? Well, I wonder if Obama’s stupefied supporters envision the same vaporous entrance each time their candidate with the magic wallet pops up on stage. Seriously, how else can they explain their belief that Obama could actually grant and fulfill all their government-sponsored wishes? Only silly television shows, children’s fairytales, and socialist fantasies have the sort of hope where magic – or less believable, the government – can fix people’s problems.

Nonetheless, smoky entrances and Walt-Disney-like magic account for only two of Jeannie and Obama’s interesting similarities. Let’s examine where each of them lived — or more accurately, didn’t live. Jeannie never really resided in that antique bottle with the pink, plush, puffy-pillowed pad inside. No, Jeannie trivia reveals that Jim Beam Whiskey was the only resident ever to actually occupy Jeannie’s bottle. After spending some time in the show’s art department, the whiskey bottle acquired its more genie-like appearance. Today, as the product of a whiskey maker and a Hollywood show, the bottle will always be one part Jim Beam and one part Jeannie.

Similarly, Barack Obama never grew up in a poor, black American neighborhood. As we know, he occupied his non-black grandparents’ house and the dormitories of America’s best schools. His unique background and commendable education left a portion of black America questioning the “authenticity” of his “blackness” (whatever that definition may be). Apparently his authentic whiteness was half the problem. Fortunately, spending twenty years in the Trinity United Church of Christ solved Obama’s superficial problem. Once blessed by his racist, anti-American “preacher,” Obama magically became a black man, as opposed to an American man who happens to be half black and half white.

Will Leftist Evangelicals Demand Believers Get On Obama Bandwagon?

Just because some white liberals are going out of their way to vote for Barack Obama for no other reason than that he happens to be half-black, some within the Evangelical leadership are once again beating on their drums about congregations being too split along racial and ethnic lines.

However, it they are the ones noticing this, isn’t that proof that those patting themselves on the back for their embrace of racial diversity are in fact the ones looking at the color of skin rather than the content of character?

So long as a church sticks to Bible basics and welcomes those showing up at the front door, what does it really matter if a particular congregation appeals more to a particular group of people?

Has anyone ever stopped to think that, provided so long as no one is blatantly mistreated or rights to affiliate and peaceably assemble not infringed upon, maybe God is pleased as after all it is believed He is the one that caused different racial and ethnic groups to come about to begin with as a protection against the human tendency to unify and lavish accolades upon pseudo-messiahs?

Obama’s ‘Small Towns’ Gaffe Reveals Un-American Democrats

At a fundraiser in San Francisco, Barack Obama said that small town Americans living in the Midwest are religious zealots, gun nuts, and racists. So much for Obama being the candidate of “working together” and the wondrous architect of a “new politics.”

Obama’s dismissing of the civility and religiosity of the largest part of America’s citizenry is reported to have upset a North Carolina Hillary supporter who was tasked with introducing his candidate at a rally there. Former state party chair Tom Hendrickson got in his high dudgeon at Barack’s anti-small-town America rhetoric.

Here is what Obama said in California late last week that got Henrickson’s goat.

“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Barack’s rhetoric is pretty bad, just as Tom Hendrickson said in North Carolina. So, before he introduced Clinton, Hendrickson lambasted Obama over those remarks. ABC’s Jake Tapper reports Hendrickson’s irate words on his Political Punch blog.

“I listened to that quote and I got mad,” Hendrickson said, “and I wanted to reach out to Senator Obama and say senator, we are from the rural part of eastern North Carolina. We are very proud of our heritage, we are proud of who we are. We are not frustrated. We are not bitter. We turn to our faith because we believe, and we hunt and fish because it is part of our culture and we enjoy it.

Ok, that’s all well and good. We have a candidate in Obama pandering to his far left, elitist California base by telling them he thinks Middle America is filled with racist, hicks. And we have a Southern Democrat playing the good ol’ boy card claiming to be “proud” of his fellow hicks in flyover country.

Hendrickson is 100% right, of course. Obama has nothing but disdain for Middle America and he should be called on it.

There is only one problem with Hendrickson’s little tale and that problem comes in at the tale end of Tapper’s report.

Amos points out that, interestingly, the crowd had little reaction at all. They, in fact, seemed a tad bored.

Tapper says “interestingly” as if it is of but little concern. I, on the other hand, find it disturbing. It says to me that the North Carolina Democrats that Mr. Hendrickson was speaking to, people that are supposedly the sort of average North Carolinians from the same sort of “small towns” that Obama seems to hate so, weren’t upset in the least at Obama’s comments likening them to racist gun-nuts, etc.

Why is this one might wonder?

Let me posit to you that these Hillary supporters weren’t upset because the remarks that Obama made were not that big of a deal to them. In other words, these Democrats AGREED with Obama’s characterization that most Americans are overly religious, racist, gun-nuts. So, when Mr. Hendrickson tired to stir the crowd against Obama’s comments, they didn’t react because it didn’t make them mad in the first place.

And this gets to the nub of the issue. Most Democrats hate the average American. Most Democrats assume that most Americans are racists. Most Democrats agree with Obama that Americans are evil people.

THAT is the Democratic Party of today. A party that hates its fellow citizens. Obama’s charge against his fellow countrymen is garbage, of course. But few in his party think so, few disagree with his mischaracterization of Middle America. And THAT is the most disgusting part of this whole story.

Is Amazon.com Becoming a Publisher of Anti-Jew, Anti-US propaganda?

Amazon.com sells millions of books, CDs and other products each year. So, we can’t necessarily expect the on-line retail giant to be morally responsible for every single last product and, where its book offerings are concerned, we shouldn’t ask them to become censors. But, selling a product someone else created and producing the product yourself are two different things. And, in this case, we might be seeing Amazon.com actually printing an anti-Jew, anti-US, “truther,” Holocaust denial book with their BookSurge subsidiary company. One wonders if Amazon.com is even aware they are suddenly in the business of publishing anti-semitic books?

And this early warning system is where education serves a chief role. Our schools are supposed to serve as the gatekeepers of what a society deems in good taste, important or necessary to learn. Our schools are also supposed to serve as a critic of sorts to teach students what to avoid or, if not avoiding, teach where certain philosophies that might prove harmful fit into world history. In other words, if Marx is discussed, the evil he is responsible for should be highlighted. If “Mein Kampf” is assigned, the results of Hitler’s hate should be a principle subject.

So, my point is books can sometimes be bad things depending upon what is in them. This seems to be a lesson that Amazon.com never learned. Or at the very least, it’s a lesson the on-line book giant never thought it a worthy one to consider.

Debating Liberals

How does one debate with a liberal? Sorry, under current rules, debate is not allowed. Just as our new national conversation on race is limited exclusively to authentic blacks, so is any semblance of debate with those on the left limited to those who accept the rules of debate, as defined by liberals.

Just as Boy Clinton redefined the meaning of sex, so have liberals redefined the meaning of debate. If your view doesn’t accord with the progressive, politically correct elites, the debate is relabeled an ‘argument’, your opinion is redefined as a ‘judgment’ and both are promptly dismissed.

By controlling language, the left controls and defines the issues. Hillary didn’t lie about being under fire in Bosnia, she merely misspoke. The rules stipulate that only conservatives lie. If you’re on the left, you’re either factually incorrect, mistaken or just plain human. Liberals call this a win-win situation, which is one of the few times they are factually correct.

If the member of the vast right wing conspiracy (conservative) persists in trying to debate the original issue, liberals then revert to personal attacks. Attacking the messenger as mean-spirited usually does the trick. The indignant liberal then has carte blanche to personally vilify the messenger while touting his own moral vitas. Very effective.

2007 Video of Barack Obama and Rev. Wright Signing Books Together

On Feb 8, 2007 Channel 2 News Chicago had a little puff piece on Senator Barack Obama discussing his soon to be launched presidential campaign. It happened to air just before Barack’s “60 Minutes” TV interview and it focused on Barack’s attendance at the Trinity United Church of Christ. The interesting thing about this video is that Barack is seen sitting side by side with Rev. Wright as they sign copies of Obama’s book “The Audacity of Hope.” This chumminess seems to make the lie to the claim that Barack was in any way upset at his “spiritual mentor,” Rev. Wright.

It is curious why the CBS 2 video showing a beaming Barack and Wright has not been more widely played by the media, but it does prove that Barack only recently, in the middle of scrutiny and only in the last month, has found himself trying to claim he disagrees with the racist Rev. After all, he was still quite friendly with the ranting Rev. Wright in the CBS video of but a year ago.

It just goes to cast a heavy pall of doubt around Barack’s supposedly oh-so earnest claim that Wright’s long-time rhetoric now disturbs him. There is no evidence that this could be true as this not very widely seen video shows.

Cultural Affirmative Action

In a way, I prefer the old, overt affirmative action. While it was government-sanctioned discrimination, at least it was, in some measure, more honest than our cultural affirmative action. There is such a thing. It’s when people in the market and media privilege others – sometimes unconsciously – based upon the latter’s identification with a “victim group.”

This phenomenon is what Geraldine Ferraro referred to recently when she addressed Barack Obama’s meteoric political rise and said, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position.” Pundits have condemned her for this unfashionable utterance, but it’s no insight. It’s a truth hiding in plain sight.
What do you think Bill Clinton was referring to when he said that he wanted his cabinet to “look like America,” meritocracy or quota orthodoxy? Yet Clinton isn’t alone; he merely gave voice to common practice. Would Condoleezza Rice have been appointed Secretary of State and Joycelyn Elders (the poster girl for AA) Surgeon General if they weren’t black women? Would Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Sandra Day O’Connor have ascended to the Supreme Court and Janet Reno been Attorney General if they weren’t female? And, as Ferraro noted herself, she would never have been the 1984 vice-presidential candidate but for her fairer-sex status.

Cultural affirmative action manifests itself in all arenas, not just politics. A perfect example is Michelle Wie, the female golfer who set her sights on tackling the men’s tour. Based mainly on braggadocio and a fawning media bent on portraying her as an Amazon golfer who would teach the boys a lesson or two, she was granted entry into numerous PGA tournaments, even though untold numbers of male golfers were more deserving. Of course, some will point out that she is quite gifted. Others will say that the market spoke.
That is my point.

The Very Predictable and Very Convenient Deadlock

Some will say the Clinton/Obama bashing and counter bashing is a clever orchestration arranged by moles working for Al Gore. The more they bash and counter-bash, the bigger the hero he will be when he suddenly arrives just in time to convert his party into an unstoppable effort to put himself in the Oval Office.

Others will say this is simply a case of mismanaged political strategies that are playing into Al Gores hands. This scenario was predictable so why not sit back and wait for the most appropriate moment to make a move? Why should he spend his money or energy running for President until his opponents spend all of theirs convincing America that neither one is fit to be President?

Is the Clinton/Obama deadlock by design or by accident? I say it doesn’t matter. I say it is not only “convenient” to Gore’s ambitions, it was sufficiently predictable to count on as a stepping stone of “heroic” proportions. When two candidates are perceived as equally inexperienced, it is predictable that both candidates will focus on the other’s weaknesses rather than the issues. When two candidates have a young and extremely dedicated following, there will be impulsive trash talk and there will also be emotionally driven remarks that belittle those they were aimed at them as well as those who uttered them. In their efforts to tear each other apart, they will tear themselves apart. And Mr. Gore will arrive as a great and benevolent hero without spending a dime!

Obama HAS to Hate America or Lose ‘Black Vote’

On Friday, March 28th, Barack Obama made his latest stab at explaining away why he spent 20 years as a comfortable member of the volatile and racist Trinity United Church of Christ on the south side of Chicago. This was the church where Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr. bellowed sermons filled with hate for whites and the United States of America as well as a church that published anti-Jew, pro Hamas terrorist articles in church newsletters. And, like all Obama’s other “explanations on this matter” this one leaves a lot to be desired.

This time, Obama tried his best to make us believe that he would have quit the church over Rev. Wright’s racist, hate filled rants if the good Rev. hadn’t retired first – even though it was only a year ago. In an excerpt from an upcoming interview CNN reports that Obama earnestly hoped to assure America that Wright’s rhetoric was “outrageously wrong” and that his brand of “religion” would have caused Barack to quit the church had it continued.

The problem is, when you look at what Barack really said, it does not assure us that he would have left the church over Wright’s obscenities any more than a child caught with his hand in a cookie jar could be believed should he say that it was the last time he intended to steal a cookie. It’s easy to claim what you would have done after being caught at something. But the proof is in the pudding as history shows what was really done. Barack didn’t leave the church over Wright or anything else. He sat in that congregation with his wife and children nodding his head and saying “Amen” to Wright’s 20 some years of railing against the United States.

Barack talked about the controversy on ABC’s “The View” and tried to sound as if he was somehow disturbed by Wright’s long history of anti-Americanism and racist diatribes.

“Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying there at the church,” the senator said.

To ferret out the real truth here, let’s break Obama’s claim down line for line, let’s Fisk the rhetoric, if you will. (Barack’s words follow in bold)

Are You An Authentic White?

Are you an authentic white person? For the answer to that, we need to go to the current authentic black community. They are the ones who define who is and who is not an authentic member of their race. Be they black or white. (Since Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc., have not yet amassed political clout, they’re excluded from being categorised by their skin color.)

The reigning Black elite have decided that authentic ‘typical white people’ are inherently racist. As Obama so blithely stated, this prejudice is inbred and rears its ugly head every time a white encounters a black. For those whites who believe reparations to date, in the form of trillions of dollars, affirmative action, special dispensations and a color-coded justice system, have adequately addressed the shame of their ancestors’ sin of slavery, well, it hasn’t. We are informed that racial prejudice is still rampant in American society. If you don’t see it, its because it has taken the more insidious form of ‘institutional racism.’

Not to worry, Obama assures us we can change. Phew. Just elect him President, and by virtue of the moral authority inherent in his skin color, he will kindly inform and advise his fellow Americans, excuse me, his fellow white americans, on the proper obeisance and reparations due all black people. Oops, I meant, all ‘authentic’ black people. Uncle Toms like Condoleeza Rice, Clarence Thomas, and other successful black people who succeeded on their own merit are not ‘authentic,’ and most decidedly not representative of the oppressed black community.

so, how is a Rush Limbaugh caller’s comments News?

Unfortunately, this is the kind of silliness that the net is sometimes prone to as sites try to fill pages with “news.” On March 3rd during the Rush Limbaugh radio show, one of the callers…. remember, I said a caller here… said that Barack Obama reminded her (the caller’s) daughter of the cartoon character Curious George. And, um, this is somehow news? Well, it is according to ABC News at least. Excitedly, ABC’s Political Radar blog delivered us a headline that virtually screams “look at the racist” — Limbaugh Caller Says Obama Reminds Daughter of Cartoon Monkey.

On March 3rd, the Political Radar blog breathlessly reports this momentous “news,” this stupendous, stultifying, divisive, pointless, news. Even more shocking, Limbaugh “laughed at the caller’s comment.” The NERVE!

Seriously, people! How is it that a caller’s comments to any radio show amounts to news? Would it be news if I reported what some guy at the 7/11 store said to me yesterday? The news should be what the hosts say, not the callers. And, even at that rate, the news value of what a radio host says might easily be considered less consequential than what a politician or other public figure says.

Ah, but we all know what the “news” here is, don’t we? ABC was excited to be able to paint Rush Limbaugh as a racist. Yes, ABC was salivating at the chance to say that the evil, rotten, mean-spirited, conservative Limbaugh is a nogoodnick. That is the beginning and end of the agenda.

Here is how the Political Radar blog begins:

ABC News’ Tahman Bradley Reports: Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh issued an on-air apology to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., today after a caller said her daughter thought the Democratic presidential frontrunner looked like the cartoon character Curious George, a monkey.

Limbaugh, who laughed at the caller’s comments, later apologized explaining he didn’t know anything about Curious George.

In true Limbaugh fashion, though, he was able to take a silly thing and wring a cogent, political point out of it. And kudos to ABC for at least allowing Limbaugh his point, even if they did bury it at the end of the piece.

Chgo Sun-Times Columnist’s Support of Racist Louis Farrakhan

Chicago Sun-Times columnist Mary Mitchell has proven that skin color is deeper than hate in her Sunday column as she scolded Barack Obama for distancing himself from the endorsement of the racist Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan. Mitchell scoffed at Barack’s denouncement of Farrakhan as merely a “game” to placate racist white people and tried to pump up the legitimacy of Farrakhan at the same time. Shockingly Mitchell excused every hateful thing ever said by Farrakhan and said that Barack should have “found a way” to accept Farrakhan’s endorsement “without denigrating Farrakhan’s legacy.”

Mitchell scolded Barack Obama because he tried to make sure that voters don’t think that he, Barack, supports the sort of racism evinced in the past by Louis Farrakhan. Saying that, “most black people understand the game,” Mitchell seems to feel that the only reason Obama eschewed Farrakhan’s praise is because all those racist whites would pillory Barack for accepting such an endorsement and so, she feels, he had to trash Farrakhan. Sadly for Mitchell, Farrakhan is a worthy representative of the black community and she feels that Obama is somehow being an apostate to that community for dumping on Farrakhan.

How Mitchell can excuse Farrakhan for all his racist comments is inexplicable. She seems, though, to merely accept at face value his word that he isn’t a racist. One wonders if she would as easily accept the disclaimer from any KKK member that he doesn’t really hate blacks… wink, wink… in the same way she so easily seems to take Farrakhan at his word despite all his continued racist comments?

ABC Fakes Muslim Prejudice, Unsurprisingly Finds ‘Islamophobia’ in America

Apparently to prove that the US is filled with Muslim hating Yahoos, ABC went on the hunt to find “Islamophobia” in America and the result is “Witness to Discrimination: What Would You Do?” Since they didn’t really know where to find any, ABC News decided to create their own prejudice against Muslims by hiring an actress to put on Muslim dress and get “confronted” by a Muslim hating coffee store server — also an actor hired by ABC. Then, they rolled the cameras, opened the doors to the public and, viola, ABC “found” prejudice in America. How hard is it to “find” something that you invented in the first place? Let’s find out…

ABC is “shocked” to find that their little manufactured moments revealed how some customers reacted. “Bystanders Turn Away When Muslim Actor Hired By ‘Primetime’ Encounters Hostility,” ABC proclaimed.

ABC begins their report assuring us all that “Islamophobia” is rampant in America.

The Sept. 11 attacks, the Iraq war and suicide bombings worldwide have changed not only the way we live but the way we look at those around us, especially Muslims. “Islamophobia” has entered the American vernacular, and the anti-Muslim attitudes and prejudice it describes remain common.

Prejudiced attitudes against Muslims “remain common”? Does it really? Is ABC telling us that Muslims are being widely discriminated against in this country since 9/11?

Well, ABC may be claiming this is so, but the FBI sure isn’t. According to Investor’s Business Daily, the FBI has found that anti-Muslim crimes in the USA is not so “common” as ABC wants to make us believe.
