Lack of Leadership: France Takes Lead in Libya While Obama Fiddles

You know that an American administration has proven useless and ineffective for supporting liberty and freedom in oppressed countries when even France… France… takes the lead in recognizing a struggling, independent liberty movement. Such is the case in Libya where French President Nicolas Sarkozy has recognized and supported the Libyan rebels struggling to over throw Libyan dictator Gaddhafi.

For his part, President Obama, the man that is supposed to be fulfilling the role of the “leader of the free world” is attending school bullying pressers and secretly supporting fleebagging Democrats in Wisconsin while practically turning a blind eye to the Libyan rebels fighting for their lives.

So France takes the lead in coming to the aid of freedom.

British Police Afraid of Local Kids, Soon to Come to the USA?

A British police chief has prohibited his own officers from patrolling a local park after dark because he and his fellows are afraid of the punks and trouble makers that infest the place at night. Thanks to a self-destructive and blind obeisance to PCism Britain has truly become an asylum run by the inmates. But this disease of PCism is one that left-wingers in America dearly want to emulate. Will the USA soon find police afraid of their own shadows, too?

Police Inspector Andy Sullivan told a meeting of the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire Town Council that he was not going to allow his officers to enter the park after 8PM because it is too dark. “The place has no lighting and it is still, in effect, a building site. I am not going to put my staff – police officers or PCSOs – into an area where they can’t see what is going on,” he said.

On Day French Gov’t Bans Burkas, Bomb Threat Empties Eiffel Tower

News is starting to make its way around the world that the Eiffel Tower received a bomb threat hours after the French Senate voted to ban the burka, the face coverings forced upon Muslim women.

CNN is reporting that the Tower and the park surrounding it were evacuated Tuesday evening after a bomb threat was received.

Some 2,000 people were in the area when the evacuation was ordered, police said, according to CNN affiliate BFM-TV . Also evacuated were a number a nearby apartment buildings and businesses, according to news reports.

It should be no surprise that this threat came on the same day that the government voted to ban Muslim burkas. Tuesday morning, the Senate overwhelmingly voted to ban burkas worn in public on a 246 to one vote. The bill had already passed the lower house and it is assumed that the law will stick through the 10-day rebuttal period.

The Media are not saying that the bomb threat is tied to the burka ban, but it is hard to dismiss it all as mere coincidence.
