We here at PubliusForum.com have been fortunate enough to be afforded a sneak peek at Obama’s “terror” address that he will be giving today. Without further ado, the president of the United States:
My fellow Americans, tonight I felt it was important to come before you so that you could hear what I think about these horrible attacks my country has suffered these last few weeks.
Certainly I grieve for those who fell victim to the gun violence my country is embroiled in. I am heart broken by the loss the victims’ families feel and understand their pain. Sadly, with their lives filled with the pain caused by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, they have little room in their minds to help me advance my ideas. Tonight I hope to put an end to that.
Many un-American people who don’t understand who we are as a people want to continue this wretched gun culture that has made me embarrassed to visit other countries. To them I say “no more.” No more will I sit idly by and allow them their Second Amendment rights. No more will I allow my people to stand armed against my policies. No more will I let my countrymen to have the last, best chance to answer back to terrorists by being armed with needless, dangerous, assault guns.
My country is suffering an occupation of sorts worse than any ISIL terrorist invasion. Republicans who cannot accept that I won are certainly more dangerous than any ISIL terrorist, especially since my policies have completely contained ISIL to a small and dwindling part of Iraq and portions of Syria.
When I was growing up, the most beautiful sound I ever heard in my life was the Muslim call to prayers. It made me understand how peaceful and beautiful Islam truly is. But compared to this war-like nation I have had the misfortune to have been elected to lead, Islam is a lamb. But it is we, America, who need to be the lambs by giving up our rights to defend ourselves so as not to enrage Muslims. Some may say that if we follow my policies we would become lambs, but lambs led to slaughter. But I disagree with this foolish assessment. If we show we are nice to Muslims by disarming ourselves they will surely leave us alone.
Besides, Mr. and Mrs. and Trans America, I have made sure ISIL terrorism is no threat to you. Republicans, though, are another matter. They are here infesting every corner of my country and I also say “no more,” to them. As I attended the glorious U.N. climate change summit last week in Paris, I realized that because of Republicans and their lust for blood my nation has become the single worst country for mass killings. More Americans die at the hands of Christian, Republican, gun nuts than in any other country. But guns aren’t the only danger that Republicans pose to me and you.
Republicans stand against clean water. They are climate deniers and want the world to burn to a cinder. They want to starve old people. They want to cut education. They hate people in need and want to cut all social programs. They want to take away the vote from African Americans. They have launched a war on women and sponsor a rape culture on our college campuses.
In sort, I am declaring a war on terrorism. I am declaring a war on the terrorism sponsored by Republicans. I will be directing my Department of Justice to reach out and prosecute any Republican who speaks against me and my policies and I will be looking for new and innovative ways to use my power to regulate to eliminate gun manufacturers, clamp down on their ability to do banking, freeze their assets, and take them to court as often as possible to put a halt to their so-called legal business transactions.
This war can be won. If you, the American people, simply realize that I am right and pressure your representatives to support me, we can win this war against Republican terrorism.
So, tonight, as I sit in may house here in Washington, I say to you, America, let’s win one against the Gipper.
