MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, once a fairly conservative Republican, is railing against the plan for defunding Obamacare being pushed by Republicans like Senators Mike Lee and Ted Cruz, calling the plan “stupidity,” and saying that conservatives are “too angry” to “win elections.”
On his little watched MSNBC show, Scarborough beat up on Republicans for wanting to “shut down the government.” Of course, this is the left wing’s misconstruction of what Cruz and Lee are saying. There is no “shut down” being proposed, exactly. And it is no surprise that Scarborough is touting the left-wing line since he sold his soul to the left to be on the extremist, left-wing MSNBC network.
In fact, Cruz himself has said shutting down government won’t stop Obamacare, so it is absurd for Scarborough and his left wing comrades to make that leap.
The idea is to pass a budget that funds all of government except Obamacare. That isn’t “shutting down government.”
Anyway, Scarborough beat up the idea. He thought that the whole “shutting down government” idea is only a way to enlarge email lists and get on TV.
He railed at Cruz saying, “When do you realize that your stupidity is getting in the way of conservatives winning national elections?”
“Do you want to keep losing? You’ve lost a popular vote five out of six times in presidential races. Do you want to lose the next five or six? Do you really want Hillary Clinton to be president for the next eight years? Do you really want her to pick four, five, six, seven, eight Supreme Court justices along with Barack Obama over the next, what, eleven years?”
Are you really that stupid?” Scarborough continued. “Are you really that dumb? Are you really in that much need of being angry and resentful, that you just stop caring about winning elections? If so, you’re not a Republican. You’re not a conservative. You’re a nihilist. And you’ve got no place in our party. Take your stupid act somewhere else, because I, for one, am damn tired of losing, and having stupid people like you defining my party.
Joe, your party? You stopped supporting the GOP a long time ago, Joe. You know it and we know it.
Amusingly, Scarborough himself recently complained that his own network is just a “mouthpiece” for the Democrats. He should know. He’s one of those mouthpieces.
