Representatives Dennis Kucinich (D, Ohio), Barbara Lee (D, Calif.), Pete Stark (D, Calif.) and Lynn Woolsey (D, Calif.) Democrats all, do not seem to like our intel folks, especially those brave men that helped take out Osama bin Ladden — at President Obama’s orders, I’ll remind you.
Late last week the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a resolution of support honoring our intelligence community for its excellent, painstaking work in finding and eliminating Osama bin Ladden, murderer of untold thousands of Americans and others.
The resolution did not mention the president or the military and focused only on the intel folks that got bin Ladden.
The aforementioned four, however, did not join all the rest in voting to support the measure. Instead, these cowards voted “present” which is no less than a “no” vote. It meant they stood against the resolution supporting our intel community but they didn’t have the guts to actually come right out and say so. (21 other representatives were not at the capitol for the vote)
It is interesting that these four refused to vote to congratulate our intelligence community, but not surprising. All four of these Democrats are well known antagonists of the intelligence community, our troops and have been consistently against American foreign policy.
Here is the text of the resolution:
(1) commends the men and women of the intelligence community for the tremendous commitment, perseverance, professionalism, and sacrifice they displayed in bringing Osama bin Laden to justice;
(2) commends the men and women of the intelligence community for committing themselves to defeating, disrupting, and dismantling al Qaeda; and
(3) reaffirms its commitment to using the capabilities and skills of the intelligence community to–
(A) disrupt, dismantle, and defeat al Qaeda and affiliated organizations around the world that threaten the national security of the United States;
(B) eliminate safe havens for terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan; and
(C) bring terrorists to justice.
