The Chicago Hate Crime Liberals Deny As Black Teens Torture a White Kid for Days

On January 4 a white teenager with special needs was found wandering aimlessly in a black Chicago neighborhood and when police found him he had a frightening tale of race-based torture to tell. But before he was rescued Facebook users were treated to videos of four black kids hooting and laughing as they beat the teen bloody while yelling “F white people” and “F Trump.” Unsurprisingly, because it is a white person being tortured, liberals from coast to coast are insisting this isn’t a racist hate crime.

The mentally undeveloped boy was kidnapped from his suburban home up to 72 hours before he was finally found by the Chicago police. He was driven into the city, bound with duct tape, repeatedly beaten bloody, forced to drink from a toilet, treated to racial-tinged taunting, and made to say things he didn’t want to say as these animals — one of whom was supposed to be his friend — hooted like monsters and recorded it all on cell phone video.

Despite the clear intentions of these black attackers, despite their own voices being heard yelling racial epithets, the left is now united in waving off this horrid crime as just another day in a dangerous and violent Chicago. Indeed, even the Chicago Police Department shockingly called the three-day session of beatings and torture of the white 18-year-old just “an act of stupidity,” and not really a hate crime.

While it isn’t surprising that the racist left is refusing to call this attack a hate crime, the more shocking and immoral treatment of the case was by the very police agency that this boy and his worried family will have to rely on to investigate this outrage. Then, the very evening the boy was rescued by officers, Chicago’s top brass blithely waved this crime off as a mere act of “stupidity.”

During his Wednesday night press conference, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson immediately shut the door on any thought that this crime would be investigated as a hate crime. In Johnson’s estimation, this was all apparently just youthful hijinks.

“If you look at that video… it’s just stupidity,” Johnson said.

Worse, he even tried to downplay the culpability of the would-be murderers who committed this crime. “Kids make stupid decisions — I shouldn’t call them kids, they’re legally adults. But they’re young adults and they make stupid decisions,” the Police boss said.

He went on to insist that there was no hate crime and no political motive behind the torture. You know, despite that the attackers said “f**k white people” and f**k Trump.”

But, “stupid decisions?” How is the three-day torture and beating of a person merely a “stupid decision”? Riding a bicycle without shoes is a stupid decision. Eating hot chili when you know it gives you heart burn is a stupid decision. Telling your wife she looks fat in those jeans is a stupid decision. Appointing Eddie Johnson as Police Superintendent is a stupid decision. Kidnapping, torturing, beating, and racially taunting another human being is a hate crime, not merely a “stupid decision.”

Fortunately, Chicago prosecutors had better ideas than to listen to Chicago’s top cop and the four black assailants were all charged with a hate crime.

By Thursday afternoon suspects Jordan Hill, 18, Tesfaye Cooper, 18, Brittany Covington, 18, and Tanishia Covington, 24, were all charged with a long list of crimes including hate crime charges. As Fox News reports:

Hill was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, robbery, residential burglary; Cooper was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary; Brittany Covington was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary; Tanishia Covington was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

It’s probably sad to say many were surprised that prosecutors in Chicago charged the evil quartet with hate crimes, especially after the immoral and gutless Chicago Police boss made it clear he didn’t see it as a hate crime at all. But, sadly, that is the world in which we live.

But while many Americans were pleasantly surprised that the obvious logic of charging these monsters with a hate crime prevailed in the prosecutor’s office, many on the political left, including members of the Black Lives Matter movement, were outraged that anyone would even think about calling this horrid crime a “hate crime” at all.

A litany of the usual, let-wing suspects on TV and in newspapers jumped to make the claim that this couldn’t possibly a hate crime. Because, after all, white people can’t have hate perpetrated against them! Why, only blacks/women/gays/asians/hispanics/transgenders can be victims of hate, doncha know?

To name just a few, leading the “it’s Not a hate crime” pack is no less than fake black man Shaun King.

King, a perpetually outraged white man who for years masqueraded as a black man until he was outed last year, has come forward to insist that he wont “fight for justice” for this white kid from the suburbs. King apparently feels that this crime is inconsequential and he is not interested in worry himself over it. In fact, he typically used this hate crime against a white kid as yet another platform to push his Black Lives Matter nonsense.

In another case, a Democrat strategist appearing on CNN said not only was there no hate crime in Chicago, but Donald Trump was the one responsible for the commission of the crime.

Liberal strategist Symone Sanders insisted that the crime in Chicago should not be classified a hate crime. “We cannot callously go about classifying things as a hate crime,” she insisted.

In a further attempt to dismiss this crime, Sanders tried to clarify her point saying:

If we start going around and anytime someone says or does something egregious or bad and sickening in sense. In connection with the president-elect Donald Trump or even President Obama for that matter because of their political leanings, that’s slippery territory. That is not a hate crime.

Sanders added:

Hate crimes are because of a person’s racial ethnicity, their religion, gender, disability — not political leanings because someone doesn’t like your political leanings so they do something bad to you, that is not a hate crime

Even more absurdly was CNN’s Do Lemon who also said this isn’t a hate crime. Indeed it is just an example of bad parenting, so, really, it’s no biggie.

When one of his guests called this torture of a disabled whit kid an act of evil Lemon replied, “I don’t think it’s evil. I think these are young people and they have bad home training.”

The Democrat strategist and the CNN talking head weren’t alone. The Associated Press also did its best to wash away all those stubborn facts that tend to make this crime a hate crime. The AP eliminated the race of the attackers and the victim and then insisted it was too early to determine if the attack was racially motivated… you know, despite that whole “f**k white people” part.

One thing is sure, if the races of the participants were reversed, this story would be the absolute end of the world as far as the left would be concerned. If this story was about four white people who kidnapped a black man, beat him and tortured him while yelling “f**k black people and “f**k Obama,” the left would be calling for everyone’s head on a pike.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was 100 percent right to note that every liberal in America would be outraged if the situation was reversed.

If this had been done to an African-American by four whites, every liberal in the country would be outraged and there would be no question it is a hate crime. So, let’s be clear about this. We are right at the edge of a terrible period, which I know President-elect Donald Trump wants to avoid, of having the deep bitter division in the communities that makes America hard to govern.

Despite this singular truth, Black Lives Matter supporters streamed to Twitter to attack anyone calling this a hate crime.
