I’ll Be At Right Nation 2010 in Chicago, Illinois… Will YOU?

THE event of the Midwest is fast upon us, Sept. 18, this Saturday!

So what the heck IS this Right Nation 2010 thing, anyway? The website tells us that the event will be a gathering of thousands of conservatives who will, “come together to celebrate their shared lineage and common purpose. They’ll be joined by popular political, media, and entertainment personalities all assembled to advance the RIGHT principles and the RIGHT people in order to reclaim the Midwest and forever change its political landscape.”

Right Nation will offer great speeches by famous conservatives such as Glenn Beck, Dick Armey, Wall Street Journal Writer John Fund, and many others. Participants will also have a day-long conference where they can attend all sorts of informative sessions such as “Building Your Local Organization,” Get Out The Vote Programs, and many others.

But it is more than that. Right Nation is one of a slew of new events of similar nature on the conservative side that have been going on since about 2006. Such events have grown in number over the last two years in particular due to the popularity of Tea Party activism. It’s about time, too, as the left has been doing these sort of things for 50 years!

The Veracity of Karl Rove’s Political Analysis is Suddenly Suspect

During Delaware’s primary night Karl Rove was one of the analysts that sat with Sean Hannity on Fox News hashing out the results of the polls in several states. During his comments on Delaware’s winning candidate Christine O’Donnell, Rove eviscerated her as a loser even as she had just won the primary.

Rove claimed that O’Donnell is “nutty” and came straight out saying that O’Donnell cannot win the election in November.

Now, Rove is certainly entitled to his opinion and if he truly believes that O’Donnell cannot win in the general, then he should feel free to say so and we should accept it as such. But in this case we have a problem believing that Rove’s analysis is simply his honest opinion when we find out from The Freedomist that Rove was trying to cut a pre-primary deal to help Mike Castle to win the primary.

Restoring Honor: A New American Awakening?

If anything good can be said about the progressive left controlling our government, it’s that their astonishingly brazen and heavy-handed tactics may have aroused the American people into a new spiritual awakening. With basic liberties under assault, we are seeing a revival of values that have been dormant for a long time.

Every great moment in this country, when real progress is made, there was a spiritual awakening. The Restoring Honor Rally in Washington D.C. on August 28 may be the one of those moments. The rally’s organizer is radio and television personality Glenn Beck. Beck says that our country’s troubles cannot be solved by the same methods that got us into this mess. Like an old time revivalist, he says “We must call upon God, and He will see us through.”

Lefty Media Matters Caught Editing Beck Audio Sherrod-Style

You’ve got to hand it to the good folks at Mediaite. These guys are on top of everything in the media world. This time Mediaite has uncovered the fact that Media Matters, the left-biased media slanderers paid for by George Soros, have been caught doing precisely what they claimed that New Media maven Andrew Breitbart did to Shirely Sherrod a few weeks ago. Namely foisted an edited tape on the world in order to slander someone in the public eye. This time, instead of revealing a race worried USDA official, Media Matters is attempting to put false words in the mouths of a pair of side kicks of radio and TV talker Glenn Beck.

Media Matters touted what they felt was a big, big story. They claimed that two of Beck’s sidekicks were falsely claiming that MSNBC host Keith Olbermann was “responsible” for the Manchester shooting. To prove it, Media Matters presented a tape of the two hosts actually saying that Olbermann is responsible for the murders.

Looks Like I’ll Be on Fox Business Channel at 3PM Central Today

As of right now I’ll be live on FoxNews Business Channel’s “Money Rocks” today at 3pm CT. We’re talking the Illinois pension mess.

Of course, you know how TV is. I may get down there and get all ready and they may bump my segment. So, we can only cross our fingers and hope it all goes according to plan.

**UPDATE**

Well, I just got back from the studio and the Show went well. Live video to New York for about three minutes duration.

I have to say that TV always makes me laugh.

Here is how it goes: I get contacted anywhere from 9AM to 11AM. I call back. They tell me what the show is and the topic and maybe ask for a few facts to be emailed back to them. They send a limo. I get in for the 1 hour trip to Chicago. I get makeup and wait for my spot. I get on the air for two to five minutes. I get back in the limo for another hour or so trip back home.

Yep, all that for about two to five minutes of live video. All that expense for two to five minutes.

What a racket, eh?

But I always enjoy it, anyway.

Fox News To Get Front Row Seat in WH Briefing Room

With the too-long-in-coming departure of the despicable Helen Thomas from the White House press room, newsies have been waiting with bated breath to find out who would get the seat she formerly wasted there.

Fox News made its bid, of course, but many assumed that it would never happen. In fact, the leftist group MoveOn.org tried to mount a short-lived campaign to seat NPR there instead of Fox.

But amazingly the White House Correspondents Association voted unanimously to give Fox a front row seat. Fox didn’t get Thomas’ former seat, that went to Liz Sidoti of the Associated Press, but Fox did get the front row seat that the AP moved from to take the spot Thomas had.

BREAKING: Sherrod Says She’ll Sue Andrew Breitbart

New Media mogul Andrew Breitbart faces a lawsuit from former USDA employee Shirley Sherrod over his posting of video of the woman in a seemingly racist outburst at an NAACP meeting.
Sherrod made the announcement at the San Diego convention of the National Association of Black Journalists on Thursday, July 29.

Isn’t it a bit amusing that Sherrod is suing someone for a “racist” attack on her when she is announcing the thing at the “National Association of Black Journalists.” It is an interesting dichotomy, anyway.

Sherrod also once again pushed the lie that Fox News was a culprit in her firing. “It wasn’t all media. It was Fox,” the fired federal employee said to the Old Media.

The FACT is, Fox had precisely nothing to do with her firing as Fox News didn’t start broadcasting the story until after she was fired by the Obama administration.
