Controversial New Anti-Gun Ad Debuts Near Anniversary of Crime in Newton, Connecticut

-By Warner Todd Huston

Only ten days before the anniversary of the massacre at a grade school in Newton, Connecticut, a new anti-gun ad exploiting children has debuted.

The ad has been co-sponsored by buttinski New York Mayor Michael “Nanny” Bloomberg and his group Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the anti-Constitution activist group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.

The two groups made a 30 second version and a 60 second version of the ad.

The ads were released on December 4 and are expected to run on cable stations later in the month.

The ads are titled “No More Silence” and feature a roomful of school children standing with bowed heads for a “moment of silence” in memory of those who lost their lives when a mentally disturbed teen began killing people at the Sandy Hook Elementary school.

“On December 14th, we’ll have a moment of silence for Newtown,” the narrator says as the ad begins.

“But with 26 more school shootings since that day,” the narrator continues, “Ask yourself: Is silence what America needs right now?”

The commercial ends with a ticking clock coming to its final tick and a dark screen reading: “Speak out now.”

The two anti-gun groups are planning a “week of action” to memorialize the shooting and further exploit it for their anti-Constitution goals.

“The ad is a commentary on the need for continued indignation among Americans at the inaction of Congress,” the group said in a press release.

What do you think of these anti-Constitution groups exploiting children like this?
