In a new interview, former President Bill Clinton essentially admits that Obama has lied when he told America that we could keep our insurance policies and doctors “if we like them.”
Clinton thought that Obama’s claim that we could keep our insurance is a promise he should have kept. Clinton contends that young people heard this promise quite clearly and it’s one President Obama needs to keep–even if keeping it requires a change in the Obamacare law.
“So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said.
Man, when even a president with the reputation as being one of the biggest liars to ever hold that office says you are a liar, you are in REAL trouble.
Of course, Clinton is a day late and a dollar short on this refrain and so are many Democrats who are now pleading with Obama to fix this mess. The fact is, folks, that upwards to 15 million Americans have lost their insurance already and that number is climbing every day.
But this isn’t something that can just be reversed. Obama’s Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) has changed the law on what insurance companies are allowed to offer which resulted in millions of policies being canceled because they didn’t fit his criteria. America, those plans are gone and will not be coming back.
The idea that Obama can just “fix” this is simply an impossible dream. It is too late. We had a last chance to stop Obamacare when Texas Senator Ted Cruz was trying to convince the Senate to put a halt to the law before these disastrous problems hurt so many millions of Americans.
And the new enrollees for Obamacare have been paltry.
There have been one hundred cancellations of insurance policies for every one person that has bought a new Obamacare policy. Worse, it should be noted that the 5 million policies cancelled isn’t just single people losing their insurance. It is often whole families losing their policies. That means upwards to 15 million Americans have lost their insurance versus only 50,000 getting new policies!
This is a healthcare disaster and it is beyond question that Barack Obama is responsible for the deaths of countless Americans that have lost their healthcare.
