84-Year-Old Obama Supporter Pulls Gun on Conservatives Protesting

-By Warner Todd Huston

An 84-year-old Obama supporter is accused of pulling a gun on a pair of middle-aged white women who were hosting a protest of Obama and his policies in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

As WSBTV reports, “Protestors Toni Pendley and Marge Moore are part of the Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment movement, a national movement that places signs along interstate overpasses with anti-Obama messages.”

Toni Pendley and Marge Moore

On September 28, the women were protesting on the Steve Reynolds Overpass above Interstate 85 when they said that a maroon car drove by. The driver, the women said, pointed a gun at them.

The women weren’t the only ones to see the gun, though. Police also received a 911 report from another person on the scene–one unconnected to the protest. The 911 caller also noted the license tag. That was the help police needed to track down Smith.

The elderly man, Roy Smith, said he kept a gun in his car in case of carjackers, but apparently he thought it was useful for supporting Barack Obama, too.

After Smith was arrested some folks got all soft on him. In the photo, Smith is seen wearing a nose line for oxygen. But cops aren’t softening.

He is “not your typical suspect,” conceded Gwinnett Police Cpl. Ed Ritter. But the officer went on to say that it “doesn’t matter what his age was, he still threatened somebody with that gun and he is being held accountable for it.”

Mr. Smith is free on $1,000 bond.

Isn’t this just typical? Democrats claim to be the more adult, more caring, anti-gun types that hate violence. But the second you oppose their ideas they start getting angry and waving guns around or otherwise getting violent. Just like in the video posted above where an Obama nut case started pushing around a woman and punching a man for no reason.

Typical, indeed.
