You know, it is unfortunate that the Democrat Party’s name has the word “democracy” as it root because the modern Democrat Party is 100% opposed to both democracy and our system of government. Senator Chuck “Hitman” Schumer just proved this to be true once again.
Last week Senator Mike Lee (R, Utah) had reserved a room in the Senate and invited a retinue of Tea Party representatives and the folks of Freedom Works to discuss the Tea Party Budget proposal drawn up by Freedom Works.
Everything was duly arranged and the participants had arrived and began to fill the room but suddenly representatives of the Majority Leadership (Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer) arrived and shut the event down despite that it was properly arranged previously.
As Tabitha Hale notes, it has been 932 days since the Democrats, the majority power in the Senate, have passed a budget.
Yet here is a group of citizens offering their ideas to help move the country forward and what do the Democrats do? They hatefully shut down this open forum.
So much for the democracy part of the name Democrat Party.
Smitty McCain has it right: Democrats mean tyranny.
