This is what our nation’s universities have come to. A professor at Rochester University, New York, was warned to destroy evidence of his kiddie porn collection stored on university computers ahead of a raid on his workstations staged by the State Police. And who was the informant? A university dean gave him a tip off causing the pervert prof to attempt to destroy the evidence of his criminal behavior.
On October 10 university instructor Gilbert Kirton, 26, was charged with possessing child pornography after a raid on his workstation was authorized by prosecutors and the courts. Authorities had been looking into Kirton for four months.
Police claim that what was found on Kirton’s computer was “some of the most sexually graphic images depicting the physical and sexual abuse of children secured by the state police in Western New York.”
Even though he was tipped off, the police got their man. But not with the help of at least one university dean, granted.
The Dean has not been publicly identified. However, another local TV station, WHAM, has reported that the official was “a director of graduate studies at the university” and police referred to the tipster as a male:
Captain Scott Crosier says, “obviously he conveyed enough information to him that caused Mr. Kirton to dismantle his computer and attempt to get rid of it by placing it in six different garbage bags and in six different trash receptacles on the campus. So obviously Mr. Kirton felt that there was enough information was conveyed to him that he realized that the computer was the source of the problem.”
So now, not only have our universities become bastions of feminist rage masquerading as “education,” minority hatemongering, ant-Americanism and self-flagellation, they have become a safe haven for child porn addicted teachers?
The conservative movement needs to begin to foster programs to educate and facilitate the emplacement of conservative, traditionally minded Americans in out schools. We have long since passed the time when we could easily ignore the debauched condition of our fetid educational system.
Reform of our educational system has nothing to do with laws and vouchers and everything to do with eliminating the hateful claptrap that is being ladled out as “education” to our kids. We have no right to complain about it unless we step up to the plate and attempt to change education at its most basic level: the teachers themselves.
In any case, let’s hope this particular scumbag disappears from the halls of academe forever.
Kirton was arraigned in Monroe County Court and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. If convicted in federal court, he faces ten to fifteen years in prison.
Let’s also hope that the disgust excuse for a dean is also summarily eliminated from his position of esteem in a publicly funded institution of higher learning.
