From Adam Andrzejewski of For The Good Of Illinois…
As 2010 draws to a close, I wanted to share a few reflections on what we’ve achieved together during the past year.
I began the year as a candidate for governor in Illinois running on a platform of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, and traditional American values. We captured the votes of more than 110,000 Illinoisans, but fell short of the Republican nomination.
Like many of you, I believed the fight we waged against the underperforming Illinois establishment had not come to an end. With your encouragement, we set out to re-launch For the Good of Illinois and introduced For the Good of Illinois PAC.
Our purpose: Reignite liberty, opportunity and prosperity in Illinois for the benefit of future generations. For too long, Illinoisans have been disenfranchised by machine politics and self-serving fiefdoms. Voters have grown apathetic and feel they can’t fight city hall.
FGI is working to dismantle the Illinois establishment by engaging, educating and empowering citizens – like you – who are demanding limited, accountable and transparent government.
Because of the hard work and generous support of our members, our PAC’s first year was nothing short of a huge success. We won three out of the four state races we were involved in, caputirng a seat in the House as well as a seat in the Senate. Resounding victories in spite of the Democrats spending $6 million to stop us.
Illinois’ transformation won’t happen over night and it won’t happen by the hand of just one of us – but instead – by the united actions of all of us. We spur one another on to return Illinois to a government of, by, and for the people.
The thousands of Illinoisans working to save our state are not only altering its course, but also changing it forever.
Will you join us, for the good of Illinois?
Consider contributing $25, $50 or $100 online today to ensure we have the resources needed to continue to work toward a new day.
PS – Governor Quinn and the Democrats plan to increase borrowing and hike income taxes in 2011. Some reports indicate an income tax hike as high as 66%.
Your gift of $25, $50 or $100 will go directly toward stopping these reckless policies.
