From the Jim Dodge for Comptroller campaign…
In an effort to cut through campaign ad clutter, Jim Dodge, Republican Candidate for Illinois Comptroller has launched the first stage of an innovative campaign communication approach. This concerted statewide voter outreach is designed to direct voters to the campaign web site, www.jimdodge2010.com, and provide them immediate access to unfiltered information not only about Dodge’s background, qualifications and goals for the office but also the critical information about Dodge’s opponents that Republican voters must considered before voting.
“By going to jimdodge2010.com, Republican Primary voters will have the chance to go beyond the usual poll-driven perspective in a 30 second television soundbite and gather real details on the candidates,” said Dodge. “I want to encourage voters to do their research and make informed decisions on February 2. Pure and simple there are a number of reasons why neither of my opponents are electable in November. We’re taking the direct approach by asking voters to take this into consideration when they vote.”
Dodge, who is a Vice President of The Nielsen Company, the world’s leading marketing and media information company with over 30,000 employees believes that this approach represents the next chapter in campaign communication.
“As a V.P. of The Nielsen Company, my job is to make information understandable and easily accessible. We’re trying to inform as many voters as possible in this short primary season as to who is the most qualified and who has the best chance of winning come November.”
Based on endorsements, it is clear that rank and file Republicans are tired of the politics of the past. Dodge has won endorsements after a series of candidate forums in Ford County, Cuba, Libertyville and Vernon Townships in Lake County, New Trier, Wheeling, Orland and Schaumburg Townships in Cook County along with winning the Milton Township straw poll. By visiting www.jimdodge2010.com, videos are provided of all three candidates showing that there is clearly only one viable Republican Candidate for Comptroller – Jim Dodge.
