From the Plummer for Lt. Guv campaign (and yes, I want to stress that HIS release spelled Lieutenant wrong several times)…
If you think the office of Illinois Leiutenant Governor doesn’t matter — just wait until now-Governor Pat Quinn passes his massive income tax hike.
For seven years, Pat Quinn played loyal second fiddle to Rod Blagojevich — remaining silent while Rod plundered the state and destroyed our economy.
As governor, Pat Quinn has continued the Blagojevich legacy — padding the state budget to pay off political special interests at our expense.
I’m running for Illinois Leiutenant Governor because this office does matter — and it’s one of the most effective ways I can help reform our state.
I’m not a politician — I’m a small business owner and entrepreneur who has helped create thousands of jobs right here in Illinois.
I’ve started numerous successful companies, and currently serve as Vice President of R.P. Lumber Co., where I’ve worked directly in economic development initiatives in dozens of communities throughout Illinois.
An officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves, I’m also a Republican Precinct Committeeman and a former Republican County Chairman. I served under U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald, and worked at the Heritage Foundation — the renowned conservative public policy research institute that focuses on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedoms, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.
In my spare time, I also coach youth sports at my church.
Bottom line: I will get Illinois working again by changing the business climate, opposing new taxes, and opening our arms to business and investment.

Our state’s problems didn’t start with Rod Blagojevich — and they don’t end with Pat Quinn.
I will work to put a stop to the monkey business in Springfield and end the sweetheart deals that ultimately cost taxpayers jobs and money.
Unfortunately, even some of our Illinois Republican leaders have not lived up to their responsibility to provide an honest, ethical voice of reform and opposition.
It’s time to send a true political outsider to Springfield to clean up the mess.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be emailing you about our common sense solutions to get Illinois back on track.
You may agree with some of my proposals — you may disagree with some. Either way, it’s vital that we start an honest discussion of how to reform our state.
Thank you in advance for your interest in our campaign. Together, we will put Illinois back on the road to prosperity and renewal.
