From the Patlak for Cook County Board of Review Campaign…
Once again the Chicago Machine has pulled a fast one on Cook County property owners. They have conveniently arranged for property tax bills to be issued after the November 2nd election. In fact the bills will arrive just before Thanksgiving with payments due right before Christmas. How’s that for a happy holiday season? We can make a change in the culture of corruption that has enveloped Illinois, Cook County and Chicago by helping to elect reform candidates like Dan Patlak who are interested in empowering taxpayers instead of confusing them. Dan has released the seventh in a series of Property Tax Facts videos. This one addresses the question of what grounds people use to appeal their assessments. Please take a look and forward it on to your friends who may need to appeal their assessment.
Our suburban 1st Board of Review district is immense in size and population. Dan has traveled throughout the district to meet voters and hear their concerns about unfair property assessments. In the last week and a half Dan has attended events in Northbrook, Park Ridge, Elk Grove, Evanston, Countryside, Rolling Meadows, Palatine, Mount Prospect, Wilmette, Schaumburg, Oak Forest, Tinley Park and the 19th ward. - October 2nd Dan will be the featured speaker at the Illinois Family Action breakfast meeting from 8-9:30 AM at the Old Country Buffet, 16060 S. Harlem in Tinley Park.
- October 4th at 10 AM Dan will be making a presentation on “Understanding Your Tax Bill” at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central in Arlington Heights.
- October 7th at 7 PM join Dan at the Elk Grove candidates forum in the VFW Hall, 400 E. Devon in Elk Grove.
- October 9 at 9 AM Dan will be attending the Orland Republican breakfast at Silver Lakes Country Club in Orland Park, 14700 S. 82nd Ave.
- October 11 Dan will be joined by Mark Kirk and congressional candidate Robert Dold for an Early Voting Kickoff Rally at 909 E. Rand in Arlington Heights.
