Phil Robertson has finally spoken out about the controversy that has rocked his reality TV show family after GQ magazine quoted him on his feelings about the “sin” of homosexuality. Robertson says he is a “lover of humanity,” but is still not backing off from his comments at all.

The Daily Mail reported on December 22 that Robertson was defiant toward his critics over what he said to the fashion magazine.

“I will not give or back off from my path,” Robertson said.

But, Robertson wanted to point out that he wasn’t saying he hated gays. “I love all men and women. I am a lover of humanity, not a hater,” he said.

The whole family has closed ranks and come to Phil’s support, despite the attacks from militant gay groups and left-wingers across America. But when he made the comments, he didn’t feel he was saying anything he hadn’t said before. “I didn’t think much of it at all, but it seems a lot of other people did,” he said.

Signs like this are popping up all across the country.

The family patriarch also noted that he’s been saying the same stuff for years.

“We are a bunch of rednecks from Louisiana, but I am not uneducated, I have a degree from Louisiana Tech,” he said.

“But this week I have been called an ignoramus. This week I have been asked, ‘Is this the first time you have brought up sin?’ I said, ‘Are you kidding? I have been traveling to and fro spreading this message.'”

So, Phil is not backing down one iota. Do you think he should? Or do you support the Robertsons?
