Roskam honored for his Leadership on Behalf of Job Creators

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06), was recently awarded the “President’s Award” by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Roskam accepted the award at the Hispanic Chamber’s Annual Legislative Summit on March 30th.

Roskam was honored for his work on behalf of job-creators, including his leading advocacy for fundamental tax reform, cutting Washington’s spending and debt, and his tireless efforts to pass the three free trade agreements being stalled by Democrats – no-cost job creation.

“Hispanic-owned businesses in Illinois’ Sixth District, and across the country, are critically important to the American economy’s strength and vitality,” said Congressman Peter Roskam. “It’s a great honor to receive the ‘President’s Award.’ The Hispanic Chamber represents nearly three million businesses – entrepreneurs, small business people, and job creators that are the engine of America’s economy. They are a testament to our free enterprise system that has made the American dream possible.”

“It is my honor to present Congressman Roskam with this year’s USHCC President’s Award as he is a champion for small business.” said Javier Palomarez, President and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The issues that Congressman Roskam is currently addressing affect the bottom line of the Hispanic business community. He also understands that the key to economic growth lies within the American entrepreneur.”

The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a network of over 200 local Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and represents almost three million Hispanic-owned businesses which generate more than $400 billion in annual revenue.
