EAST MOLINE, IL–The Bobby Schilling campaign is pleased to announce that Congressman Aaron Schock of the 18th District in Illinois will be endorsing Bobby Schilling in his run for Congress in the Illinois 17th District.

Schock, a hard-working freshman Congressman from Peoria, is a rising star in the Republican Party, and Schilling is pleased to have his support.

The endorsement will be made official on Sunday, October 3rd at a fundraiser at 986 15th St. Ct. N in Andalusia. Both Schilling and Rep. Schock will be arriving around 6pm with media availability following.

Bobby Schilling, a native of Rock Island, graduated from Alleman High School and attended Black Hawk College. Schilling, a local business owner, is the Republican candidate for the 17th Congressional District in Illinois. Bobby is running on a platform of bringing jobs and real representation back to the 17th District. Earlier this year, Schilling conducted a 34-city “Bob’s for Jobs” tour, where he met with voters and employers all across the 17th District. Schilling was recently named an official ‘Young Gun’ by the National Republican Congressional Committee in their Young Guns program of top tiered races.

Terry Schilling: “No amount of money is going to change how out of touch Rep. Hare is with voters in the 17th District.”

EAST MOLINE, IL–The DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) recently backed Rep. Hare’s re-election effort by reserving media buys in both the Davenport, IA and Champaign-Springfield-Decatur, IL media markets. Terry Schilling, campaign manager for the Bobby Schilling campaign, released the following statement regarding the news:

“This isn’t exactly surprising news,” Schilling said. “After wasting trillions of dollars on bailouts, failed stimulus packages, and a healthcare takeover, why wouldn’t they throw more money at a failing Congressman? Rep. Hare can’t run on his record because it’s an embarrassment. In just four short years, we’ve seen the unemployment rate double and $5 trillion added to the national debt. Rep. Hare and the DCCC are going to embrace the politics of smear and do everything they can to demonize Bobby Schilling since voters have no reason to embrace Rep. Hare. I believe the public will see through it. No amount of money is going to change how out of touch Rep. Hare is with Illinois families.”
