From the Palatine Tea Party…
(Palatine, Illinois) – Representative Melissa Bean (D) Illinois 8th district opposes tax increases, but is against Bush tax cuts if she were elected to Congress. Here is what she said when she ran against Crane.
Bean said, “Crane has argued he did his part to foster job growth by supporting President Bush’s two tax cuts. Bean said she would have voted against those tax cuts because they did not provide enough tax incentives for small businesses to create new jobs.”1
Bean also said, “I oppose raising personal income tax rates…”2
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% of voters now rate Congress’ performance as poor as of Friday, September 17, 2010.3
62% say that no matter how bad things are, Congress can always make them worse. Sixty-two percent (62%) believe it would be better for the country if the majority of Congress is thrown out this November.
The survey of 1,000 Likely U.S. Voters was conducted on September 14-15, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports and 79% feel most members of Congress are more interested in helping their own careers than in helping people.
Sixty percent (60%) of voters nationwide say, in fact, that most members of Congress don’t care what their constituents think.
If you are outraged with Bean’s job performance, contact her local office (847) 517-2927 or DC (202) 225-3711 and vote her out in November!
