False Attacks on Kinzinger

-By Warner Todd Huston

Looks like the Democrats have found a surrogate to attack the honorable service of 11th District candidate Captain Adam Kinzinger. Some fellow named William Walter is trying to use his FaceBook page to smear Capt. Kinzinger’s service.

The Hill has a post on it now, but the long and short of it is that the Democrats must be pretty scared of Mr. Kinzinger’s candidacy if they are stooping to such low tactics.

“I know where I’ve served and I know what I’ve done,” Kinzinger told The Hill.

This Democrat FaceBook plant is questioning Kinzinger’s bio on his website saying that the military history stated there is untrue. After the faux controversy Kinzinger changed the entry to be more explicit of what he did in the Air Force.

First, the bio on his website read: “In 2003, Adam joined the United States Air Force. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in November 2003 and was awarded his pilot’s wings in 2005. Captain Kinzinger now serves as a pilot with the Air Force Special Operations Command.”

The last sentence was later changed to “Captain Kinzinger has served in the Air Force Special Ops, Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, and Air National Guard.”

Kinzinger said the changes to his online biography were designed to clear up the misconception about his piloting experience.

“We added basically all my past commands to the bio,” he said. “That was my effort to go into even more depth.”

With attacks from the left this early, I’d say that they really are afraid Kinzinger will win in November.
